Hi folks. It's been ages I dropped something here. Make una nor vex. It's been exactly 1 month and 4 days we arrived in Sydney. God has been faithful. It's great to have Johnsontade around and Bellong and NNBB2012 on call. I finally got full time work and will be starting on Friday. Looking forward to it.

Chuckdee13, all the best. Wish your grant drops soonest.
More importantly, thanks to all the people who helped us in settling here, including the silent reader who accommodated my family and I for 3 weeks before we got our own place. God bless you and your family

Basically, there's no fixed requirement for work experience. It varies. Some folks who grab maximum points from English Test don't bother about claiming experience points like our bro Jukeblam. The number of years of experience however can contribute to adding points when its 3years and above. So it all depends. Conduct a point test on your case now and determine where you can get points to add up to 60 and start working on it. Just a word of advise, whatever you want to do, don't hesitate as laws change everyday. Some occupations have already been flagged for possible removal from the SOL List by July 2017. Mine is one of them. So make hay while the sun shines.
I also graduated from FUTO 2003.
Assessing authority will depend on the nominated occupation.
POF will also depend on the visa subclass, but is common with state nominated visa 190. Some states are not stringent with POF. e.g Tasmania. They only require you to declare that you have sufficient funds to settle in when you arrive. Different states have their own criterion. Visa 189 does not require POF before a grant is given. Best of luck

Yes I did claim work experience points. My assessing authority gave me 8 years and above for work experience but whilst filling up my EOI, I indicated only 5years (10points). This is because 5years out of the 8years given is verifiable. One of the companies i worked for has moved from Nigeria. Didn't want to take chances.

Thanks for your speedy response bro. Graduated in 2008. I didn't get the GRANT meaning,I don't know what that is? Also where can I get the POF details and amount. I'm a family of 5,but have my under 18 female cousin waiving with me and I hope to relocate with her too..thus making us 6.
