Then again, ask yourself another question, how come most if not all the winners of Mr and Miss Nairaland contest always go on ghost mode, after they win. I believe the quest for cheap popularity is the craving they so desire.

I have taken my time to read all your opinions on this "No Interview" issue and I must admit your points are all valid, but you aren't in the organisers shoes and you wouldn't know their reason(s) for aborting it. If I were you since you seem so concerned, I would bring some other interested nairalanders together and together organise an interview for we the contestants, let those interested partake in it. Please if you decide to tour this line, do endeavour to mention me, I won't mind participating in it. Its never too late, today is just Monday.

Cheers Bro!

Ask other contestants whom seemed to be well known if they know kinginvahala and you would be baffled with their responses.

Just keep calm sweetheart, voting commences on the 18th, the outcome from the first voting will tell you if I'm known or not.

Tinubu has not been indicted or found guilty by any body or institution.

You have been found guilty of breaking campaign rules yesterday and a two weeks ban was pronounced on you.

The correlation with your case with that of Tinubu is a logical fallacy. You're dumb bro. No wonder you resorted to cultism to give your life a meaning.

And you led poor Refiner to her Campaign death with your dumb strategies. Any other person would have taken her to greater heights given her looks. But not you.

Featherbrained blackguard.

The little time I have followed the contest, one little thing I have been able to realize about the so called Dygeasy is that he's so full of himself and does thing for the aim of receiving all glory and credits to himself. Just as FirstEVA, this Mr. Nairaland will be nothing but a flop if the interview is overlooked and we just go into the voting session. The non interview thing will not favour the not so popular ones. They will be disappointed at the end

There are people who can handle this thing better, instead of the self-centred and "I can do it alone" attitude often displayed by the so called host, Dygeasy

you are right.

Seun your attention is required on this issue since you are the sponsor of this year's Mr/Miss Nairaland. The organisers have decided not to conduct an interview for the contestants, it's going to be straight up to voting, we have no means of determining if the next winner has no brain.

I think the interview body of nairaland consists of wristbangle, Tosyn and co. What I think is that the host probably doesn't want to involve them anylonger so that he can't receive all the glory and benefits at the end

In as much as maturity has kept us mute ever since people have been complaining on this very thread; well, I will break the silence by saying that the host wants things done in his own way and myself and Wristbangle are way too matured above doing things that will make us look like we are exceeding our jurisdiction or forcing someone to give us a chance to feature in it. Since someone feels a head is better than two and can do it all alone, we don't have a say.

While I'm preoccupied with school activities, Wristbangle on the other hand is preoccupied with his job, so, we are not as jobless as people think. Our world does not revolve around Mr/Miss Nairaland contest and we aren't attention seekers. We only squeeze time out of our tight schedule to conduct the interview thing. Whether we conduct the interview or not, the con
test will always hold against all odds

I hope I have answered your question

And Dygeasy displays yet again gross tendency of incompetence and lack of ingenuity.

From enacting rules he couldn't execute or even interpret, to modifying the same rules without interpretation.

He has announced there would be no interview for the contestants as a prerequisite to gauging their intelligence, IQ and sophistication. Isn't this guy jamming his brains with too much mental exertions he can't possibly pull off? The unpredictability of the contest!

And he refuses to seek help in the fear of being relegated.

Now we are just to vote without having a one on one or hands-on with the contestants or having them air their views on important issues.

Dygeasy, please seek help, don't ruin this pageantry.

You almost killed it irredeemably in the last Miss Nairaland contest, now you have sunk this one deeper than the Cotahuasi Canyon of Peru.

Dump your ego, boy. Get people to help you.

I understand you're still a student and your exams may well be about the corner.

Dont ruin your life's course because of online pageantry. Your life seems to rotate around the orbit of Mr/Miss Nairaland pageantry; this is the singular event with which you calculate the worth of your existence.

Dont be a loser, set up a panel to help you which would enable you handle your degree and life properly.

Be wise. Mr Nairaland comes once a year, your life is for all time. Align your priorities if you have any brain in your cranium case.
I am very sorry Sir, what I thought as thoughtful on my part was a very inappropriate move. It won't happen again. I am really sorry.

I apologize for that sincerely.

I'll await Tosyne2much and Wristbangle to draw up a schedule for the interviews for all 28 Contestants.

Thank you very much.

Dygeasy, you need to explain this
I wanted to avoid clumsiness and dragging of the whole process for too long. I had no idea the interview guys felt I was shutting them out and taking all the glory or credit.

The interview was only fully incorporated this year so I don't get where all the grouse and energy is coming from.

I just hope they're able to figure out a way to interview 28 guys and achieving the purpose of the interview within a short time. It might as well take a long time anyway.

The interview isn't even my work! I'm sorry guys. I was considering the human beings (and not robots) that do the work. The interviews will hold. The contestants should be prepared.

I no get energy for all these wahala.

Exactly the point. The contestants are 30. If 5 contestants are scheduled for interview in a day, in 6 days all 30 contestants would have been interviewed.

All pageantry has to have interview session. He should set up people to help him
I'll reply this post. Your account is new too. Good.

5 per day and in six days you say? I hope you will be around when you keep getting emails that they want a reschedule for this reason or that. It was a lot of work swapping during the Miss Nairaland Contest with just 11 contestants, how much more 28 guys? Think about it.
It's understandable that you all think the people involved in organizing have no lives off here, but the contestants do.

First of all, youu don't have to organize it personally, you can set up a committee to carry out the interview, some people have indicated interest in the past, you know who they are contact them before the load of the work breaks your neck. Secondly, if you must organize it, the rules should be strict considering the number, anyone who has been scheduled to be interviewed for a particular day must time must make himself available or lost his chance of being in the interview, remember "good" money is involved, they have no business making other things their priority, make this a rule and you are good to go rather than a total cancellation.
