Dygeasy is forming boss, trying to lord it over others, like a mafia instructing his subjects. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. As for that lady with her snakelike attitude, I don't know what she's feeling like. Stand for the truth not this obvious show of your partisanship. Who erred? What transpired in the back scene? Why lumping WristB with Tosyne,?

Dygeasy:
Boss, everything is not the way it is painted.

That some of us aren't in the many cliques a lot of Nairaland members are in doesn't make things said about us true.

I bet everything you know about me is all hearsay. You haven't related with me before and a lot of other people haven't. Tosin might be opinionated, it still doesn't make him right. I have only chosen not to turn this issue into something we'll keep dragging back and forth. I chose to be respectful even with all the jibes being thrown around.

That being said, MizMyColi remains one of the reasons the contest is a success that it is. Have you noticed every member of the organizing team haven't been showing up? They want it that way, and there are wonderful and amazing people putting in a lot of efforts to make this work. It's not all me. Trust me. So you might as well sheathe your "sword" of words because you have only heard a one sided story if you heard a story.

Mister I must admit you are really trying with the competition. A word of advice, always feed-in your team members and discuss thoroughly with them. Don't just receive private mails especially from contestants asking you to do this and that and then take decisions.

MizMyColi:

Mimzy,

Did you read where DyG admitted that he wasn't the initiator cum originator of the interview?
So how exactly does the "birthing" come into play?

And why jump into conclusions based on a narrative by Tosyne2much?
Whatever happened to hearing from both sides seeing as you're really interested in the interview process for whatever reasons there are.

You have a preconceived notion and that is so unfair and insensitive.

He has stated on this thread the reason why he scrapped the interview earlier, yet you went ahead to post in the manner you did. Any unbiased and largely sane mind should be able to relate with that, but you don't, do you?
undecided
tosin and wristbangle never initiated the interview stuff. Get ur fact right.
It was due to d demands of the contestants who felt slightly in the interview with fynestboi and co.

I'd resolved to restrain from being actively involved in the brewing controversy but not when I see hypocrital comments like yours.

Mizmycoli, have you no shame? Even when you've been discarded like a piece of soiled rag, you still not-so-subtly try to force your way into the laundered pile of fine garments.

You'd even eat poo just to stay relevant and to score cheap brownie points to further the need to always seek validation.

Everything about you is pure attention-seeking. Little wonder you're infamous as Nairaland's hypocrite numero uno.

Tosin sure made valid points and his courage to be candidly opinionated sure stands him out in the assembly of hypocrites like you.

Shame on you, sycophantic favour-seeking hypocrite!

Okay,
TheSonOfMark

This is the point where I'm meant to throw a matching reply at your insults, right?

Nope.
I won't do that.
Not because I lack the capacity and capability to, but because there is more to life than throwing heathen and brazen insults at people you may never meet in this life, but surely in the after-life.

Back then, in my politics section hay days, we used to be good online pals.

Where and how you arrived at the false notions with which you seek to create a debacle on this thread (should I indulge you) is a tad befuddling. But I shouldn't be right? smiley

Dygeasy can you see what your decision has caused your team? Don't even feign ignorance of the private email one of the contestants sent you a day before the competition was meant to kick-off. I'm sure you were told to postpone and also asked to cancel the interviews.
If you want to see screenshots here, then just deny and watch your reputation go down the drain.

And Dygeasy displays yet again gross tendency of incompetence and lack of ingenuity.

From enacting rules he couldn't execute or even interpret, to modifying the same rules without interpretation.

He has announced there would be no interview for the contestants as a prerequisite to gauging their intelligence, IQ and sophistication. Isn't this guy jamming his brains with too much mental exertions he can't possibly pull off? The unpredictability of the contest!

And he refuses to seek help in the fear of being relegated.

Now we are just to vote without having a one on one or hands-on with the contestants or having them air their views on important issues.

Dygeasy, please seek help, don't ruin this pageantry.

You almost killed it irredeemably in the last Miss Nairaland contest, now you have sunk this one deeper than the Cotahuasi Canyon of Peru.

Dump your ego, boy. Get people to help you.

I understand you're still a student and your exams may well be about the corner.

Dont ruin your life's course because of online pageantry. Your life seems to rotate around the orbit of Mr/Miss Nairaland pageantry; this is the singular event with which you calculate the worth of your existence.

Dont be a loser, set up a panel to help you which would enable you handle your degree and life properly.

Be wise. Mr Nairaland comes once a year, your life is for all time. Align your priorities if you have any brain in your cranium case.

I've tried as much as possible to stay away from all these Miss/Mr Nl pageantry.. But the truth is that what you wrote up there is erroneous and hugely self serving..

In the 6 edition preceding this year's contest, there was never an interview.. Never. The only interviews are the final contest questions for the finalists. I

Those interviews aren't a show of intelligence. They've never been. Instead it has been a source of controversy. Accusations of contestants having someone answering questions for them.

If you are really interested in contestants' intelligence, then have a go at them on the campaign thread and try to ask smart and cunning questions that will expose their inadequacies. That's how it has always been.

And singling out Dygeasy for your diatribe is ridiculous and petty. That guy singlehandedly rejuvenated this contest when it was almost dead. Give the young man the credit he deserves for consistently managing certified arseholes like yourself.

Mr Dygeasy.. 1 lesson.. Change doesn't always make things better.

cheers

I'll reply this post. Your account is new too. Good.

5 per day and in six days you say? I hope you will be around when you keep getting emails that they want a reschedule for this reason or that. It was a lot of work swapping during the Miss Nairaland Contest with just 11 contestants, how much more 28 guys? Think about it.
It's understandable that you all think the people involved in organizing have no lives off here, but the contestants do.

Get a way around it. You make the rules not the contestants. If you excuse the omission of the interview because the contestants reschedule their dates.....hehehehe, man, that's an admission of incompetence.

Students don't fix date for their examination, neither does an interviewee fix a date on which the interviewer would examine him. That's allowing a horse your rein and submitting yourself to its dictates.

Dygeasy I don't know how else to say this, interviewing 28(?) contestants isn't much of an undertaking if you put your back to it.

I have so much respect for you now pls don't spoil it.

I stand to be corrected, but I remember vividly that Wristwatch started the interview thingy ever on NL. He deserves credit for that.

Moreover, I stand to be corrected.
They have handled previous pageant interviews.

Whether or not they are good persons is not in dispute.
There are lots of things I can take as BullShit.
Betrayal, either directly or indirect isn't one of them.

DyG has always held and speaks of them in high esteem to me as far as their role in this contest is concerned.

Lately, I have had the joy of adjusting to life as a family woman....Being a voltron on NL is really not a strong forte anymore.
But DyG?
He is worth it.

I have respect for you now too, Irene.
