forgiveness: Chelsea fan ke. Since when. When did you start watching Chelsea? Same person that said Celestine was a small player in Chelsea, despite him many times being the one with the Coach during interview. I wonder if you even knew when Flo played for Chelsea. I doubt you even watched Crespo and Petit in Chelsea. . 2 Likes |

forgiveness: Forgiveness will not succeed in killing me with laugh. Look at the spelling of Vialli. Vielle. I hope it is autocorrect error because that is funny. I watched the guys. They were the bomb. Including Leboeuf. My Wiki friend. Did you watch Marseille in 1923? I say the one I watched. LOL. 1 Like |

forgiveness: Vialli is beyond just a bald head player. He was one of the first players I saw carry out a coaching coup on the EPL. Something that is rampant now. Ruud Gullit was player manager and he was second on the table. Chelsea was playing good Dutch style football before unfairly sacking Gullit and Vialli was made player manager. If I am correct, the team under Chelsea on the table ended winning the league. I will look that up and I think. Not sure but I think Kanu's famous hat trick against Chelsea was the season Ruud Gullit left. |

Icon4s: I just looked back on the Chelsea Arsenal squad list that Kanu Scored a hat trick against Chelsea. The squad list on both sides were frightening. Teams: Chelsea: De Goey, Ferrer, Desailly, Leboeuf, Babayaro, Petrescu, Wise, Deschamps, Le Saux, Sutton, Flo. Subs: Hogh, Poyet, Morris, Cudicini, Zola. Arsenal: Seaman, Dixon, Keown, Adams, Silvinho, Parlour, Ljungberg, Petit, Overmars, Kanu, Suker. Subs: Vivas, Manninger, Henry, Upson, Vernazza. That was a golden era of football. |

TheGoodJoe: Yes, that is what I am talking about. As at 1997 chelsea-football-club was a small club compared to Olympics Marseille the once Champions of Europe. Meaning small club bought Celestine Babayaro at that time. While on the other hand, The once Champions of UEFA Football bought Taye Taiwo in 2005. It was even right after Olympics Marseille reached the finals of UEFA Cup final in 2004 for the second time(1999). As soon as Taye Taiwo got there in 2004 to fill the place of Bixente Lizarazu, he helped them to win Ligue 1: 2009–10, Coupe de la Ligue: 2010, 2011,Trophée des Champions: 2010 and UEFA Intertoto Cup: 2005 with the likes of Frank Ribery, Samir Nasri, Mamadou Niang, Hatem Ben Arfa, Fenando Morientes, Gabriel Heinze(Taiwo's rival), Mathieu Valbuena, Lucho Gonzalez, Andrew Ayew, André-Pierre Christian Gignac etc He was even handed the captain's handband sometimes. He was the man of the match in a cup final match. Does that looks like a small club? Abegi, people don tire with.... 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe: I started watching Chelsea as soon as Chelsea bought Celestine Babayaro and continued to be a fan when Mikel Obi came. I can remember I always got angry when I don't see him play. I can remember I saw a coach removed his track suit to come into the field as a player. |

forgiveness: You have starred Wiki work. If not, as a confirmed Naija football lover, you can not talk of the resurrection of Marseille without remembering our talented Wilson Oruma. Followed them when Oruma used to coach a teenage Samir Nasri on the pitch. From Celestine's time till date, you can not compare Marseille with Chelsea. I watched Ben Arfa and Benzema grow up in Lyon. Before the Benzema vs Man Utd game that blew Benzema's profile. Your wiki skills is good but as I said before it does not tell the whole story. There was no time in these years Marseille could beat Chelsea to a transfer target. The Arsenal line up vs Chelsea I showed you will explain the stars in Chelsea then and till today, Chelsea still attracts higher target. Taiwo try but he is no where near Babayaro. There is a reason why there is a BABA in his name. |

forgiveness: As I said during the Solanke debate, it is good to have someone who has a different perspective. Nice you watched Ruud Gullit at Chelsea. That guy loves Nigeria and really wanted to Coach us but he NFF messed up the deal. I had no doubt the Super Eagles would have excelled under him. He was also the coach who carried Babayaro to Newcastle when Gullit was the coach of Newcastle. Later. |

L TheGoodJoe: I intentionally didn't include Oruma but I also followed him wella. There is nothing like wiki skills I followed Marseille matches wella. There was an era Olympics Marseille will bet Chelsea to a transfer market wella. There was an era Olympics Marseille was bigger than Chelsea. There was an era Olympics Marseille was rated highly than Chelsea. All these was before the billionaire bought the club in 2004. During Celestine Babayaro era at Chelsea, Chelsea was a small club in England and in Europe. Nobody knew Chelsea fc. Chelsea became a bigger club after Celestine Babayaro left the the club in 2004. So, there was no stars ever in Olympics Marseille? Celestine Babayaro tried but he never wore a Jersey with a star. You call him Baba but CAF called Taye Taiwo the one time CAF young player of the year. |
