Hello house, a friend of mine got his TRV which was stamed on the 27th of June. Due to the hike in price of flight ticket, he has decided to wait and see if the price might reduce. Please how long is the TRV valid before it expires. He told me it wasn't stated on his passport. Thanks.
Hmmm waiting to see if price will reduce LOL. In Nigeria

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR EVERYBODY
I have been a silent reader. I have made some discovery about how CIC process our applications. You don't have to stress yourself worrying for 7 days in a week. I discovered that VOs have specified days that they actually review your application. I made the discovery after sleepless nights of going through the threads and gathering vital informations from part 1 to this last part of the thread.

The following are each step of your application and the days they are reviewed by the VOs

1. Medical Request - Mostly Fridays & Mondays. Rarely Thursdays & Wednesday.

2. Medical Passed - Mostly Fridays & Mondays.

3. Approval Mail: - Mostly Tuesdays & Wednesdays, rarely Thursdays.

4. Refusal Mail: - Mondays & Fridays

5. Passport Dispatch: - Tuesdays & Wednesdays.

I concluded based on testimonies from Part 1 to this part of the thread.

Don't give yourself HBP. Once you don't get a mail on Monday, wait till Friday, and if you don't get on Friday you can always wait till Monday. Also, try and engage yourself in order things so you as to beat depression.

Congrats to those who have collected their TRVs.

Best of luck to the hopeful smiley

Stay Blessed cheesy

Do you think they can swear an affidavit that they are married but have no cert?
Thanks
Do both of them have international passport? You should add the photocopy of the data page of their international passports in addition to the affidavit to show that they bear same surname.

Okay then.
Do you have reciepts of payment made during second sch till date?
Do you have pictures together? Old and present?
Can he make financial commitments before you apply?
..

Because if it's not a company that rolls over 100 of millions regularly (I mean a big one, I can google and see how big they are)
Why should he spend about 8Million in a year to make a profit of say 2million in a year.

He is your sponsor and has a company!!!! Shikena

Everything would look made up when the company is your sponsor and employer and not your parent. It removes all credibility there is in your employment situation. Hence the "personal asset" refusal reason.

You can make him your sponsor and the company as source of funds.
If you've stated that you work for his company (NOT HIM) submit a letter of introduction stating your yearly income.

Try not to write the letter of sponsorship on the same letter head that the letter of introduction is being written, you could make the former on a plain paper.

No receipts. No pictures. He can make financial commitment.... Sending 4m to my account is enuf right? He owns d uni I attended, one Institute, owns 3 big secondary schl and a primary schl amongst others. Monthly income of 10m+ atleast. He gave me his personal bank statement with closing balance of 320m and also d bank statement of the secondary school I attended. The company isn't sponsoring me, he is. I work for the uni and I submitted a letter of introduction from them stating my yearly income. Letter of intro was on d uni letter head and sponsorship letter was on the secondary schls letter head.

Hi everyone... please i have some questions....
At what point would a trv holder get his/ her study permit if he/ she uses a connecting flight and stops at montreal then to ottawa. Is it at the final destination or the point the person enters any canadian province?
2) which banks still do PTA and at what rate? Cos zenith told me 2day that they dont.
3) do d banks give CAD as PTA, if yes@ what rate?

Precise and coincise answers needed ASAP. Thanks
Please guys anyone with answers to question 2 and 3... need urgent responses

I think it's high time we started celebrating our application monthly birthday here o, because what CIC has turned to...I don't understand. CIC reminds me of the Slugs in the animation movie titled 'Zootopia'.

Anyways...happy one month birthday to my application angry you will bring me joy and good news at the end. Amen

USA is a good alternative to Canada. But their gun violence problem is second to none in the world...

if I should start counting, I will surely have over 50 colleagues mostly Msc/Phd's grads, Phd students and some working for consulting and engineering firms in the US. None has been shot or killed.

There are also mass killings in canada too and police shooting innocent civilians, but we dont have global news agencies to broadcast such news to the world.

Also the population of the US is over 300 million compared to canada's 35 million, so there are more crimes in the US as well as jobs/opportunities.

@ lawmerchant please what kinds of jobs are available to law students in Ottawa. I do not plan on writing the Ontario qualifying bar exams, I'd rather do a PhD after my Masters.
Any suggestions on lucrative jobs?
Thankyou

irshadmuaz:
Well Canada has been a disappointment for me, It was difficult enough securing a Masters admission in Electrical Engineering, but the study permit application experience was outrageous, i mean 4 months processing time? after waiting for this long without knowing ones fate and majority of the applications are rejected. I applied for my study visa to Canada on 18th april, after almost 2 and a half months, on june 20th, I got a reject. Insufficient financial capacity to pay tuition and live without working in canada or so was the reason. Showed an SOA of about 8.5 M. It was heart breaking and agitating, after waiting for all this time.

But I switched to my backup plan (USA). had also been accepted by a US university for MSC in ECE. I completed my US visa application for student visa on 24th june, just 3 days after getting the canadian reject, I scheduled my visa interview for the 1st of July, went for the interview, visa got approved ( I mean even if it were rejected I get to know immediately) on same day, picked up my stamped passport on 11th July and ready to depart for the US. less than 2 weeks overall processing time. flight tickets all whatsoever are down and ready to go.

All I want to convey here is Canadian Education is for the really patient fellows, You have to be really lucky to get it in the first try. Just shared my experience, might be helpful to some people.

Gooday all,all the gurus in the house i hail everybody o,
please if someone should apply for admission for fall 2017 for masters now in Ottawa.

My Question:when would you likely to get an offer from them?,is that they will wait till after the deadline for admission? .

Secondly, when does TRV start counting? is it from the date of issue or from the day your school resume?.

Thanks to all and my gurus, awaiting your replies.

With your US travel history and work experience, your chances for Canadian study permit is high. As par work permit, your study permit authorises you to work in Canada. Choosing your uncle as sponsor is fine but try to include a proof of relationship (even though you both have same surname), and include your financial statement too.
Thanks, my I want to include my pension account which is around 300, 000k because there is nothing in my salary account. My salary is small and I have four kids already, even though I do some other part time teaching in secondary schools to sustain ourselves. Besides, I have a car worth 600, 000 naira just bought, but the problem here is that I have not done a change of ownership, there is no proof to be presented. I feel if I do the necessary paper on the car now, won't the appear suspicious to the VO? Pls someone advise. Thanks
