Not sure of his name, but one Ifeanyin who sells parts too is my runner in the market. Before I enter market I usually call a runner to do ground work on availability of what I need. He said the ADS will cost #200k for the fronts. (Toks) and #250k for a new one (struts only).

I guess dollar things has affected d market too.

Meanwhile guys, there is one Alh Muri in Oyingbo. Kinda knows his job of fixing Honda/Acura cars. Anybody patronized him yet?

Yeah. Muri by the water side. Very good. Just pray you don't meet him when he is moody. Try and go in the morning sha. The runner that said 200k for the four struts (toks)

I love the MDX too. A friend got an 08 he upgraded. And he's actually going for the 2015 model. I'm thinking about buying from him to resell.

What do you think

Hello peeps, just a thought on petrol and mpg.

How long does your full tank last?

How frequent is your MDX on the road?

Are you satisfied with your fuel consumption or you think your X is a bit too thirsty.

Just thoughts folks. Let's share and run minds.

cheers y'all

If on steady movement say 60-120mph fuel consumption is very ok. But once in traffic it turn to a camel.

I literally laughed out loud at 'camel'. Maybe this can help turn it to tortoise https://www.nairaland.com/802926/what-causes-car-start-consuming/3#43858197. You know tortoises do not drink much. cheesy

Hello people,

it's been kinda quiet in here. I hope everyone is having fun with their X.

meanwhile, I am beginning to eye the 2010-2012 MDX. I may be looking for trade in deal, an outright buy, or just a cosmetic "upgrade".

Anyone with same thoughts?

At #145/litre fun is limited. I noticed an increase on the number of mdx on the road. Any explanation? Though not the sports package. Please cheaper reliable source for parts? Thanks.

My little advice on this is that no mechanic should ever touch your mdx, until he diagnosis it with mechine first to know the problem with it

Hello guys. I trust we had a fruitful week and pleasant weekend with our MDXs. Let's talk about wheels. Anyone changed wheels from stock? Or anyone thinking along that line. Let's share our thoughts.

I found this list for the interpretation of error codes on the 1st generation MDX (2001-2006). I believe this will be helpful to some folks : http://www.autozone.com/repairinfo/repairguide/repairGuideContent.jsp?pageId=0996b43f80374b46

New Project: Angel Eyes Halo Ring Headlight

Fancy that Angel Eyes Day Time Running Lights look?

Last year I hooked up the white CCFL Angel Halo lights in my headlight. The guy who installed it blew one of the lights (too much alomo in his system). I ordered a new set of crystal halos and finally got the installation done (partly DIY). It's a simple process but needs diligence to get good results and a perfect fit with no mess.

The Crystal halos are retrofit thus some work is required. it's not plug and play.

The new headlight features :

2.5" Crystal Angel Halo rings (Red)

55W White High Beam bulbs (Temp-6000k)

White LED parking lights (away with the dull Amber bulb)

All done and dusted. Headlight lens clean and brighter.

I'm loving my new headlights.Check it out....

How much will this project cost?
Re: Naija MDXers Community: For The Owners, Techs, DIYers, Or Fans Of The X by HOTARIO(m): 11:11am On Oct 16, 2016
Lights on EBay $19.50. Other options available for more or less. Free shipping through EMS.

The installation was about #30k (Though partly DIY). Cost covers glue (not super glue), silicone sealant, high beam bulbs, cleaning of headlight lens and labour to tech guy.

Apart from beautification, is it brighter than the factory lights?
Re: Naija MDXers Community: For The Owners, Techs, DIYers, Or Fans Of The X by HOTARIO(m): 12:00pm On Oct 16, 2016
The halo rings do not affect the factory HID lights. It's basically a DRL with enhanced looks. But the LED parking lights and white high beam lights r brighter than stock yellow lights.

Hello Guys,

Please any idea why a 2001 MDX will be jerking upon acceleration. When the accelerator is pressed, it seems as if it temporary forgot itself, and all of a sudden it will surge forward.

Run a scan on that car. It will give you a clue as to what's wrong.

Your location pls?
You need a good technician with a scanner to scan the car deeply, properly identify the fault(s), and also help in fixing the car.
