Hi guys, my fiancee's application was delayed yesterday as a result of insufficient funds. She used her employer as sponsor and the VO thinks she wont be able to study in canada without having to work. We intend to re-apply cos we dont give up, my question is does any one know the deadline in which students must resume after the official resumprion date. She is going for an LLM in university of Toronto. I would appreciate response from those who are already in Canada or in Toronto and are very familiar with resumption dates amd deadlines

My medical call was on 23 June 2016. From the calendar, twas on Thursday. How about that?

@Team16 I mentioned Thursday in my post but it's rarely Thursdays. It doesn't mean they don't send medical mail on Thursdays. It's just that it's 30/100 you get a medical mail on Thursday.

first of all share your documents before we assume where the VO started "insufficienting" you.ur babe does her program correlate with her UG/Work or Both? how many dependants did you fill in ur family form and what do they do? A serious burden on that company/school account of ur father must have been also considered by the VO or a mistake from Part of the VO and lastly u v not answered this was the closing balance 15m or just the credit balance 15m?

I got a mail from CIC yesterday...it was a refusal.
cheesy The VO handling my file must have been high on some very cheap substance cause he said I had insufficient funds and my travel history.
Anyways that's his/her opinion and he/she is entitled to it. A BIG thank you to thesoj and khalesi for your time in guiding me through the application process. I have no intention of reapplying guys so there is NO NEED to throw a pity party or shell out words of wisdom. grin

I wish all those still expectant of TRV the best in their application.

Have a great day. I'm out!!!

@3jays, I can imagine you must be feeling so down. Just try to relax. It is well.

@Sherrif. This refusal was on Wednesday

@sleekytee. Similarly,in addition, if you could answer @hayqinsbFX before more input. But in narration,a friend of my family who had such issue as yours. When the GCMS NOTE came out,the VO stated and i quote "pa is sponsored by father/father's company but Savings don't appear to be significant for the company acct.concerns applicant has insufficient funds for tuition bla bla.e.t.c sp refused". Though the acct statement is his father's company's account.so its either you didn't clarify things well or a mistake from the VO to understand.

Well my advice, have a plan B & C.

why didn't she use you as sponsor? Her employer has to provide convincing documents to show intent of sponsorship and probably pay part of her fees through their own account.

I'm heading to UofT too, see y'all there!

Hi Guys,

My TRV was approved yesterday 13th.

Masters degree
Submitted 11th of May Paper Route

Medical Call: 13th of June
Medicals done: 15th of June
Medical Passed: I wasn’t interested, because I didn’t link my app online

Approval Mail: 13th of July
Processing Time: 9weeks

Financial proof:
Bank statements of two accounts (Dad)
Sponsorship letter from my Dad
Land properties documents
Tax clearance receipts.

Education and other docs:
BSc statement of result and transcript from Nigeria
MSc certificate and transcript from Uk
WAEC certificate
Birth certificate.
Police Clearance Certificate
NYSC Certificate
Conditional acceptance Letter
Print out of Application Page showing I have been accepted unconditionally.
Attendance certificate of my first master’s graduation
All applicable CIC forms

N.B:
1. I didn’t pay tuition fees before applying.
2. I paid for my flight ticket a month before I submitted my application (Funny right?...I was positive. I have saved almost 638,000naira compared to the recent flight fees)
3. I did all research and findings myself with no help. Google was my best friend
4. I have also not been involved in any activity since August last year (I did my first master’s graduation in July came back home August) so I did not get a study leave letter/letter of introduction from any work place. My understanding and research of Study gap is 2007-2011, 2013-2015: what where you doing in 2012?
5. Going for my second Master’s degree and not PhD. My BSc, first master’s and second are all related in the same field.
6. I did not write any SOP or letter of explanation to convince the VO that I would come back. (To be honest I am not coming back….lol! wink)
7. I did not also include my personal bank statement.
8. All the documents I submitted were photocopies except my dad’s bank statements and conditional letter of Acceptance.
9. My dad’s account that I used had less than 5million, combi of the two accounts. But there are lots of inflow and outflow in them.
10. I had a very imperfect application, I omitted one of my siblings in the form that had study questionnaire. (was so worried at first but I believed all will be fine)
11. I dint submit any birth certificate of my siblings, I have plenty of them. Two are based abroad and I didn’t include their bio-data to show their status abroad.
12. I didn’t not include my dad and mum bio data or travel history stamps or visas.
13. I didn’t link my application online, I felt receiving emails from CIC was better and less stressful.
14. I didn’t do upfront medicals cause I felt hearing from them will make me feel that all will be well.
15. I had like four certifications I never included in my application because I felt it wasn’t necessary.
16. I have been to the states just once with my 2yrs visa that expired in June during my app.
17. The sponsorship letter I submitted had a lot of alterations in black pen because no time to reprint and re-sign, my dad was too busy during that time.
18. We all can only try our best, no one can have a perfect application.
19. Pardon me for any mistake in my write-up. Rushing cheesy grin

I submitted my application before I discovered this forum, after I read a lot of comments here and what people submit, I was so scared, because I didn’t include so many things. But I believed in God and stayed positive. Please don’t be discourage to chase your dreams, the sky is your starting point. I hope this will be useful to someone.

Thanks for your time and all the best!!

cheers bro... share tips on how your interview went.

what if the applicant wants to change sponsor to his employer how will it be possible to pay through the company's account taking into consideration that his tuition fees has already been paid through another account.

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by CassetteBoy(m): 12:36pm On Jul 14, 2016
[/b]Praise The Lord everyone!
I got my medical mail some minutes back.
Points to note:
1. Humans are insatiable. For very long I was worried of being delayed cos my app is 13+wks. Currently I'm worried of how long my medical would take before the embassy receive it and ask for my passport. Am I serious at all?

2. Applications are being attended to at random. When apps come in, they are shared amongst attendants/VO's apparently. Each VO has his/her own efficiency rate. You may submit before someone but that person would get medical/approval before you cos of the speed difference between your attendant and his. We should stop worrying and start praying for the specific attendants on our cases for God-speed.

3. Everything has it's time. When this thread was still young, online route was exceptionally the best. Currently paper route is leading the pack. I don't know the reason for this, but I'll personally advice upcoming applicants to use the paper route for swiftness. Who knows, online route may rise again next year, as everything has it's time...just monitor the trend of your time.

4. Do upfront medicals. If you know you are really sure of coming to Canada. That is, even if they delay you once/twice you will still try again aka Canada is do-or-die. DO UPFRONT MEDICALS BEFORE APPLYING. Currently I am trying to do my medicals cos I didn't know this before hand. If not for medicals, today would have been my passport request. I bless my God still, at all at all na e bad pass.

That being said, please I need expert advice regarding my medicals @thesoj, @Onyeoma3, @Siga, @justwise, @daveboiz and any other helpful individual

Where do I go?
Children's practice: 8-10am tomorrow
Deliver to embassy within 7 working days

IOM Ikeja: 8am next week Monday
Delivers to embassy within 2 working days

Q-life: Only available next week Thursday

I was even called for medicals plus av even booked my flight so painful but I know God has a reason. Pls house any1 going for PGD or PGC that has gotten approval
Did you upfront medicals, or did they call for medical and then refused you TRV after you did the medicals?

This is wat am thinking also, a friend of mine who applied weeks after me has gotten his study permit this morning he didn't even get any approval mail he tracked his app infront of me with my WiFi and saw it has been dispatched since 28th of June which later change to 8th of july, sincerely we both thought he has beenn denied and he was ranting that he isnt interested in traveling again because this is 2nd app he traveled down to lagos yesterday and this morning he called and send me a pic of his permit. I think they dnt want PGD or PGC. My app is 14weeks 2day only "medical passed". There is God.

Does cic so much believe in sponsor's commitment if the sponsor can transfer money into an applicant account prior to trv application...lets say the sponsor transfer 3 million into the applicant bank account. Won't the Vo see it as money lodgement....note. the bank account has monthly salary in it.

In as much as it is reflected in both your sponsor and your SOAs, the VO wont see it that way.

Its clear that CIC does not wanna give Visas to PGD OR PGC Applicants except in exceptional cases. Well I have been rejected too and am not reapplying. I had a BSC in computer Science and have tons of IT certs. Applied for a PGD and i got denied 2ce for personal reasons.

I gathered myself together and luckily landed an IT role in SA and have processed my work permit and am leaving later in July. To those waiting on canada for greener pastures good luck. I have wasted almost 2 years of my life chasing the CANADIAN dream. my advice if you have been denied do not waste more time. Just move on with your life.

Also pls am trying to get my 14k back from my school, they are yarning me super story to tell the CIC to email them that am not reapplying? who dem epp? when i needed their help they didnt help me to prove to the CIC why i need their visa.

well i have emailed lagos.immigration@international.gc.ca they replied me in 20 minutes and said i should email accra.immigration@international.gc.ca as they are the ones in charge of student visa issues. I followed instruction and emailed them.

I have emailed them since friday no response. I have called their office no reply.

Please abeg without this so called letter Fanshawe say dem no go process my 14k$ refund. My 14k na good money to carry along as i dey relocate abeg.

Abeg how else can i contact this accra embassy.

any idea would be useful.

cheers to all prospective TRV!
