kentoto:Impairment for the year or just Q2? If its for the year, then thats manageable but if its for just q2 then CBNs intervention might just be inevitable. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by kentoto: 5:44pm On Jul 23, 2016 |
Mpeace:Oops sorry, it's Q2. |

kentoto:FBNH H1 POSITION: Gross earnings: 1st. PBT/PAT: 4th Liquidity: 1st (CBN even lifted about N135b from FBNH to assist SKYE) Impairment : Not good, about 64b H1 other comments H1: FBNH mgt has done a good job in reducing operational expenses very well and this has helped the lapse on impairment to still maintain good PBT. disclaimer: not a recommendation |

''A successful stock trader takes dedication, formulation of rules, stick to them, and prepare loss. It is difficult when things appear not to work and losses are mounting. Decisions become irrational. Fear, hope, and greed are best avoided by trader. Day trading is timing profit and loss''. |

Mpeace:That would be scary! I am sure CBN would not want to go that route even if their situation warrants it considering the strategic importance of the bank. They would rather manage it quietly. If FBN should sneeze, the whole industry will catch cold... |

In stock market business, we must all adhere and identify the true importance of humility. As one professional in this business stated "besides greed, nothing can cost a trader or an investor more, than arrogance of unknown". Don't let stock market change who you are, learn, re-strategies, and move on. The only challenge awaiting and which is dangerous to our growth and development is not to try at all. Our best moment and happiness is still ahead of us, and there's still plenty of money to make in this volatile market. Stay humble, stay focus, stay determine, learn, remember the less privilege, and don't forget God! Happy Blessed Sunday ![]() |

Godisfaithful:I dislike speculators and you're the chief speculator here but these are truly words on marble. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Godisfaithful: 1:21pm On Jul 24, 2016 |
duni04:Sir, i understand your point. Without speculators stock market wouldn't be very interesting. Let me clarify something, to make money in stock market this is how i diversified my portfolios': Growth Stocks, Dividend Yield Stocks, and a little bit speculative stocks. Don't worry, we would all be fine. You might not agree with all speculators but that doesn't mean you should dislike them...lol . Best of luck in all our endeavors! |

Just heard that the expected Q2 result for Gtbank may not be as good as we expect. That's the reason for the delay. Keep your ears to the ground. As for first bank. Don't expect anything impressive until 2017/18. Buy for long term |
