Good day Vos,..please kindly help me out, I have booked my appointment for next week but I just notice a mistake in my ds-160 form, specifically under the job description... Please ,can I cancel my appointment ,re-fill ds-160 then book another appointment (is possible without paying another fee) or I shd just leave it like that. Please I need your advice .thanks
masquellett:

Okay.
@yorubadboy1

What you do is, fill another ds160 form, then Just login to your appointment page and click on update profile and edit the ds160 confirmation and put the new ds160 confirmation and then scroll down and click save. Am sure you will be fine, after the update, you will see the column to print a new appointment page with the new ds160 code. Lemme know when it works.

Pls to those in US already... As an F1 student visa holder with family in the US on F2, is my wife entitled to Medicare should she get pregnant and want to deliver in the US? We will both be on health insurance and I will probably be paying tax with a SSN. Pls those that have experience either first hand or second hand should pls advice to enable me plan ahead of time grin cool. Thank you.

Medicare is another health plan on its own which am not sure u r qualified for as an F1 holder.

But for insurance, in as much as you and your wife are both fully covered, they have no choice than to pay for her hospital bills no matter the condition. But be careful with the kind of insurance you sign up with and know about your policy very well so that you wont be played.

Anybody in America can get Medicare whether as a citizen or a foreigner. As a foreigner, who is pregnant, the hospital can not reject you when in labor. You will be taken care of and because your child is a citizen and you, the parent, can't afford the bill; Medicare would pay. However, as someone who is on a VISA, you may be denied a VISA to the USA if you decide to renew your VISA just for receiving Medicare. But just like aadeyi rightly said, I would use my insurance instead of Medicare. Medicare should be your last option.

Good morning all. I have been trying to book an appointment at the Abuja Embassy, the earliest date for appointment I've been seeing so far is 23rd August. Having been denied once, please what can I do. I've admission into Morehead State University with a GA at hand. And the school resumes 5th August, classes begins 15th August. Thank you

PLEASE I ADVICE YOU AVOID MEDICARE . I am currently in Houston , Texas because my wife just put to bed. I have read extensively on giving birth in the U.S. I think you should just go the forum Travel / Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures

The embassy is very strict these days on this Medicare issue . ... it will come back to be a problem during visa renewal . Best to shop around for the cheapest paying hospital and see if u can do installment payment or pay through insurance but Medicare please avoid

Our people among other foreigners used and abused it a lot some years ago so now the US embassy ain't playing with this topic . For any renewal u would need to show receipt of hospital payment or rejection coming in 3, 2, 1..

Sorry to read this .... It is either u keep checking incase someone cancels and an earlier spot opens in the 2 offices not 1 or ask the school is they can give u an extension. ..that will mean they reissue you a new i20 with a revised start date but not every school agrees to that. ...the only other option i can think if is defering to spring session... if not if u enter after the i20 day u will be denied entry

There are two options you either check if lagos dates are cool or you seek for an expedited visa processing.

Right- can also get a reissue. The last option before the deferment may be the expedited appointment (it has a limitation though)

When is your start date on the current i20 ? 5th or 15th.....because if 5th , then 2nd doesnt help because it would still take some days to get your passport back if given .
