CHECK www.nderf.org and see thousands of people who died and woke up again without the need of anyone praying for them to arise. Now let's assume that at that moment, someone was laying hands on any of them to wake up and such person wakes up, the lower-thinkers will say that the restoration of life was by the prayer, whereas nature would still have raised such person without the prayer.

Reminds me of many accidents that has been averted without the mention of any names, but the low-thinkers would have shouted 'Jesus!!!' and when the accident is normally averted, they will say it is because they shouted 'Jesus!'
Ask the atheists who also survived the same accident, is it Jesus that also protected him?

Atheists are not confused. They live based on their lack of convictions that all the gods presented to them are worthy to be called GOD WHO ACTUALLY MADE THE BIG BANG. A girl had leukemia and the dad refused to follow the doctors recommendation, instead he kept his daughter at home and was believing God's report that his daughter was healed. The daughter died and everyone came for his head. Even Christians said he was a fool.

A fool for what? For believing God?
For trusting God?

A pastor dies and his pastor brother and family starts praying for his resurrection. Christians on nairaland called them fools, said he is dead and can't return. What?! Can't God raise the Dead? Did the dead bones of Elisha not raise a dead man? How much more the name of the Living Jesus Christ! Can't it raise the dead?

A man was bitten by a snake in Idu-Osun, Osun state some 10years ago. He insisted on staying in Church and praying. He died after about 6 hours in the church. I recall how everyone, including me (I was a christian then) called the man a fool. Said he was testing God?
So trusting God has become testing God?
Why do we call people fools for trusting God?
Does it mean we don't believe God can do the miraculous again?

What would be a pastors reaction if a BEHEADED person is brought to his church and he is asked to pray for the dead person to come to life?

Do we truely believe God or just playing along just in case God exists?

It happened to my Aunt who had a tumour(late tho') that was diagnosed to be carcinogenic(it was discoverd when she went for her regular check up). The doctor said it was good that it was discovered early so it won't metastasize and she would need to be operated. When she informed her husband, he bluntly and outrightly objected it saying as far as he's alive, no member of his family would undergo sugery(he even boasted of how his wife delivered their second baby normally even when the doctor said the only option she had was a CS) that it's convenant the Lord made with him. He said the God he serves has never failed him.
Well, as time went by. The man continued fasting and praying. He even went to the mountains. So also the tumour continued to grow still believein in His Yaweh.
Eventually, it was discovered the tumour was malignant and spread drastically within a month. My aunt gave up the ghost last month based on her husband's strong believe in God. Ooh, did I metion he's also a pastor?
Everyone that heard of it blamed him for being so stupid and jeopardizing the life of his wife.
Now, this is my quetion, as a believer, what exactly did the man do wrong?

The precise opposite is true. No aspect of human experience is unique to religion, the good nor the bad.

If anything, the Abrahamic religions exacerbate many of the unpleasant/destructive aspects of being human (tribalism/"us vs. them" mentality, childhood trauma & indoctrination, emotional reasoning, taking life for granted, etc etc). And it teaches us to hate our very nature, causing an obsession with unrealistic ideals.

Humanism is the way to go.

It is a good philosophy though (if you can control it) and most of the tenets of the early humanists in the rennaisance were derived from their Christian upbringing. If they have the money, they will go. If they don't or are not convenient to part with such money, then they will run to church or to media house with picture and pleas. God is not mocked. There is nothing wrong with going ahead with your surgery and trusting God. People die during surgeries too, so its not foolproof too. many Nigerians are afraid of incompetence of our hospitals and doctors, so would rather not have surgery or CS. This is out of fear that somebody will forget scissors inside them, or nepa will take light, or some complication will happen during recovery. In developed countries where CS is easy and commonplace, Nigerians there will choose CS ahead of labour pains. i'm talking experience, not just mouth. So, the root cause is not really about faith or covenants the Lord made. People should learn to act on Rhema not on Logos. Even Peter did not act on Logos, walking on water afterwards, he still used boats. He did not say, Jesus the same forever. He did it for me then and will never fail. Lemme jump inside Galilee. Faith does not work that way.

The same God who created supernatural laws is the same one who created the laws of physics. And whichever one we decide to harness and engage to solve our problems is fine with God.

The same God who created the heavens and the supernatural laws by which they are ordered is the same one who made the earth and all it's resources and the scientific laws that govern them. So using either one is perfectly good and okay.

God made the earth and gave it to the children of men.

Psalms 115:16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the CHILDREN OF MEN.

And He commanded us to subdue it.

Gen 1v28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, AND SUBDUE IT: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

And harnessing the earth's natural resources and engaging it's scientific laws to our benefit are part of how we subdue the earth.

This opinion by some that spirituality is anti-science or vice-versa, is one of the most ignorant and narrow minded opinions.

God is both supernatural and scientific. He is the most supernaturally powerful being in the universe, and also the most scientifically intelligent mind in the universe. In fact, He created the laws of both realms. And He wants us to excel at working and walking in both -the supernatural and the scientific.

So I agree with those who criticized that pastor, who didn't take his daughter to the hospital or give her drugs because he felt it would be an indictment on his faith. That was very ignorant and arrogant of him.

The same God who ordained healing by the laying on of hands, is the same God that ordained healing by the leaves of trees.

Mark 16:18 - ...they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Rev 22:2 -In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree WERE FOR THE HEALING of the nations.

As a Christian, if you know you haven't perfected walking in the supernatural in solving your problems, the scientific is another God-ordained way we are given to solve our problems. God ordained both.
