Praise God.
@forcedbull, ask ur friend how much he sells the 2009 rav 4. I regret not buying DT car January when dollar rate started to misbehave. Now is worse than u can ever think. My madam in d office DT usually goes abroad every year did not go this year due to the exchange rate. She died last friday. Heard she does overall medical check up each time she travels. Maybe the sickness DT killed her would have been diagnosed if she made that trip.

Please return dollar to 180.1

While i do not hold brief for mr. president, i expect you to know better...Even a smart secondary school student of economics will tell you why exchange rate has gone up...There is no magic Mr. president can do about it because its largely driven by exogenous factors. The past administration should have at least built up enough buffer for the country to mitigate against the grueling impact of such currency weakening but failed to. Note that Nigeria is not the only country going through this tough time other major oil exporting countries too are experiencing it including the almighty Saudi Arabia...Moreover, the monetary authority under the leadership of Emefiele has not helped matters at all...Emefiele (who I thought mr. president would have sacked on assumption of office) opened up the nations vault for dasuki, diezanni, obanikoro etc to loot. It was so brazen that money was moved in cash from the cbn to private pockets of these crooks and economic terrorists...One will thought that just like his predecessor (Sanusi) who blew the whistle on the $20B oil money, Emefiele would as well tow the part of honor by doing same thereby saving millions of nigerians from this untold hardship....

Lastly before i forget, your late boss could have gone to any good private hospital we have in the country to have her health checked up to prevent the unwanted...Anyway, sorry about the loss.

It was 380 here as at yesterday.

I tot this high rate is supposed to trigger investment and some to NSE, or are the investors afraid of the floating currency?

it depends on where you are .....

http://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2016/08/02/confidence-inching-back-to-nigerian-market-forex-liquidity-improves/

One bank treasurer, who preferred not to be named, said the average rate of the naira during five days of trading last week stood at N318.81 to the dollar, adding: “It is noteworthy that the CBN’s contribution to the market was only three per cent of the total volume that was traded.”

Yesterday, the naira exchange rate appreciated marginally on the interbank market to N316.37 to the dollar, stronger than the N321.16 at which it closed last Friday.

However, on the parallel market, the naira depreciated to N381 to a dollar at the close of business yesterday, down from the N378 to a dollar last Friday.
