I didn't pay for hearing test. It's not compulsory... Even tho I didn't use ur Hosp.
I did it my self... Do it naija style.... Just shout chei and see if the baby won't wake up or shake ( or even b frightened). I did one ear at a time
Two routine visit first visit because of registration it was 65 dollars or so subsequent was 55 or 50. Check November 10th or 11th post I posted details on this
Dr's fee doesn't cover scan. My friend used him.. She was ranting how she had to pay for scan.

I have endured Dr Fagbohun too much. I saw his bad reviews after I had paid him since so many nairalanders found him pleasant. That man loves money to the detriment of his patient angry : shocked

How can he book me for induction on Sunday 7pm (this removes 24 hours by 12midnight) and calls d hospital by 8 am that he has csection in another hospital so they should delay me!!! On my Labour bed Am 10cm dilated and 100% effaced. Wish I can sue this guy and I will not have mercy.

He passed me on to another doctor for me to be induced. I went in last week thursday I dint dilate from thursday to saturday. I had to opt for Csection by 3pm satday cos my hospital stay was almost over. Dr F never called or find out how I was doing only for me to see him at the reception on monday morning, asked him why he dint check up on me he said "I just heard about u last night" shocked shocked. Last night kwa? Your own patient??

I really don't know why he has good reviews here. Honestly that guy is an error!
Those of u that are yet to use him beware.

I don't know about good reviews here o. Only from a few he took their delivery in person.

In my case neither him nor any of his doctors were around to take my delivery. The nurses did and he came about 2 hours later to stitch me up. I was lucky I wasn't bleeding seriously if not, who waits 2 hours after childbirth to be stitched up lipsrsealed

His excuse was that my labour was very fast. I told my story here and warned people especially 1st timers to be cautious.

Sorry for your bad experience. I'm also not his fan but we should understand he is a human being. He cannot divide himself na.

People come to Nairaland with no idea where to start from. The first think they see is Dr.F, houston and stop the research there and run with it. They contact him and he accepts, who doesn't like the cash? Both active and ghost members. What do we expect the man to do?
How do we know if there are cheaper hosps out there if we don't rsearch?

If you check this entire thread you will see "who else is going to houston, I'm using Dr F, I'm using Dr F, ' somebody will manage to research another Doc, then they flood there, I'm using Dr.Dre, Dr. Who, Dr. Doolittle. No one wants to take the extra mile.

I think it's a lazy approach and the more we don't wanna work hard for our health, the more the strength of these doctors will fail us.

I used to blame Dr.F before but now, I just blame the herd mentality.

Lemme apologize in advanced if I sound condescending.

That's crazy and quite unprofessional. If my HMO dr sef does this in Naija I'd be so livid not to talk of one that I'm paying my hard earned dollars. Thank God I listened to my instincts and didn't settle for him. I hope Dr D doesn't pull this akin yeye stunt.

Dear house,
I got into Dallas yesterday through Dubai on Emirates. The trip was long but thankfully I had 2 extra sits next to me so I was able to stretch and sleep with my legs elevated so no swelling. I used a wheel chair in Dubai and Dallas.
Dallas POE was Ok, I was asked why I was here I answered childbirth, the CBP asked for documentations and how much I had I gave him and said $8130 in cash and naira debit card funded, sent me in for secondary inspection. I waited for what seemed like 30mins before a female CBP called my name and asked how long I was here for and how much I had and I told her 3 months and $8,130 in cash she didn't ask to count it. She then stamped me for 6 months and said to make sure I get zero balance and sent me to agric, the wheel chair guy got my luggage and we headed to agric, got there my indomie onion was seized by this immigration whitie that knew all about Nigerian foods our ugu okazi egusi lol he just kept mentioning and asking if I had then he scanned my bag and took out the noodles only and I got wheeled out after that.
Grateful for all the information I got here.

That's the scenario playing out on this thread.

There is always more to most of these stories, we only tend to hear from one side and of course, everyone will judge it the way it suits them.

Loving your post like kilode.

I had my first with Dr.F and he was hands on.
However while planning for the second i read hospital and doctor reviews to make sure he was still my best bet.

I ended up using anothr doc bcz i realised dt Dr F. Was overbooked and underseen (if such a word exists). D man is human and will tak patients especially since he has like 4 other docs in his group that he can pass you on to.

This journey shouldnt be a one size fits all. Especially bcz of the amount involved. Biko mother's be very weary oooo. Childbirth as simple as it seems is one if the greatest mysteries of life.

May we all never fall victims...

We are all here to get info and give back right?
Even if we are lazy we shouldn't condone terrible misconduct just as misrepresentation @the interview is highly prohibited. If mamas with bad experience should share their experience there will be less patronage. This E family is more than just a forum. We still have our brother's keeper instincts. So no excuse for him been such a bad omen to us been lazy its our life u know apart from d money spent.

From my previous post I have been complaining. Always running back here to ask what to do with him playing games. I dunno if u saw them. Thats a jejesi having so much faith in this forum. cry

Yer Yer we get people are lazy...
But my own ish with Dr F is why he can't say he's fully booked.
Most Dr's have a "diary" where dey enter scheduled CS, induction etc. Some have secretaries that help with this.. Incase of emergency he politely tells the patient he has an emergency and wld explain to the patient why he has to send a replacement and try to b with d patient as soon as possible. I mean it's not like these women give birth and leave the hospital the next minute.

Let's leave laziness, empathy, medical ethics and whatnot... I'm talking about courtesy. This is life... LIFE.. There's no spare. Where's the care for patient that's preached?
If he's overwhelmed let him say it.
If he's not careful he'll be taught a lesson that'll cost him his license...

I agree with nerf as regards people not willing to research, they see Dr F and say i'm using Dr F, I remember greatie complaining about Dr F before and people were advising her that she should calm down and put all in God's hands since this is her first it's normal to be paranoid etc, I would say I agree with firsttymum more because even though Dr F has witnessed a great influx of naija mama's ever since Dr F Dr F became a trend he is greedy abeg, he can't divide himself into two then don't take more than the patients he can attend to and now be ignoring them when it matters the most please this one is obviously love for money and he being nonchalant which is against the ethics of the medical profession if i'm not mistaken because I don't know.

This Dr F complaints is getting too much new mama's on here not willing to research shebi e ti ri bayi continue saying i'll pm you i'm travelling same time so we can rub minds, don't research don't read up new docs and hospitals before spending your hard earned money, childbirth is one of the things that can end up being so complicated and also it can be so easy, so may be not we circumstances of evil in Jesus name.
