I've been a silent reader here before I got married sef... Thanks to everyone who contributes... I have also sent PMs to a couple of people and they have been gracious enough to respond. Really grateful for this forum. I got my visa September last year (posted my transcript on the USA visit visa thread) travelled for the purpose and returned (spent only one week). Now I don carry belle and will be due in November. Got a lot of info on this thread and it still beats me how people want to be spoon fed. I'm planning on going to LA as e be like say na there cheap pass. The only person close to family I have in the US stays in San Jose 6hours away and she's really worried about how I'd cope alone and as a FTM. Na im I start to find hospital for San Jose o... called more than 5 hospitals around the county but mehn their prices no be here. I even called one doctors office sef and them say na $7550 for Dokita but if you're self paying you get a 30% discount. Inglewood and Lynwood, the areas where Dr Ms office and the hospital are located are not safe areas... maybe that's why the services are affordable. May God help us in this our hustle. As for Dr Fagbohun I do know a couple of people (outside Nairaland)who have used him and they do think highly of him...but again like someone said earlier he's probably gotten greedy and is taking more than he can cope with. Thanks everyone for your contributions and everything. I'd definitely post my POE experience when the time comes. Have a great weekend |

This one pass me o but IMO present both naija and uk accounts to show that you are financially capable to cover ur medical expenses. Although it may now throw up more questions from d VO regarding ur strong ties to naija. Pls think thru very well and d various scenarios dat may play out. Wish you favour iwalewa92: |

veleta:I had my baby in August 2015 in CA and I had my consent form notarised before travelling. The form wasn't dated and I scanned the form to the Lawyer after it was completed as requested by him to update his records. |

justwise:I thought we had resolved all these issues previously. Even Seun had to come in. She said she has details of affordable hospitals, if they are hospitals already mentioned here, I don't think she will be talking about them. Coming here to read is also researching so I don't know what your argument is. The hospitals listed on this thread have already been overused so having new hospitals listed should be encouraged. I don talk my own... Cheers. |

Just for info purpose. My spouse wasn't present @ delivery so his name couldn't be included on birth certificate as stated by hospital rule. The DS3053 which I notarized in naija wasn't used as only my name was accepted in processing. My baby's US PP. veleta: |

KayLayChi:Well, she said her spouse. . . Haven't heard where a man's name was excluded from the birth certificate just cos of his absence. Many women here travel alone and don't have such issues. Not doubting her. Just haven't heard of such. |

simababe:If you're flying qatar, Medif form+ fit to fly is required for any pregnancy above 28 weeks oh! Also, note that their definition of 28 weeks is 27 weeks+1 day, 32 weeks for them is 31 weeks+1 day e.t.c. They will also not carry anyone that is above 35 weeks i.e 34 weeks+6 days! And if one has any complicated pregnancy like twins e.t.c. they won't carry after 28 weeks! |
