who asked u to care before....

so while is Osun not comfortable with church robes in schools...

Maybe because Christians did not get a court order to establish their rights, but decided to use childish tit for tat and religious blackmail. The question is, can the court pronouncement be interpreted to include church robes? If yes, I am sure that Osun state will happily oblige.

For we Muslims, we dont care whether you even have a court order or not. Do you see Muslims taking you to court to prevent you from wearing church robes to school? Wear whatever you wish, have you ever seen a Muslim teacher oppressing a Christian for dressing as a Christian? We are used to the childish behaviour evinced by Christians, we are just not going to keep tolerating it, and this is what is now creating friction... you want us to live by your rules forever. Not going to happen, Sorry.

Hmmmmm Nigeria and its Religious Crisis.

Just as it is completely absurd to wear your choir robes to class, or wear your cassock to school, so also is it inane and retrogressive to allow the use of hijabs in Christian-owned private schools, and in public schools. Such should only be allowed in universities and in Muslim schools.

A school is not a religious terra firma, neither is it a place to come show off your religion or make us know that you are a Muslim. It is a place for learning, and learning in UNIFORMITY—which is why students of a particular school wear the same type and color of shirt, trousers/knickers, socks, shoes etc. When pupils of a particular school begin to see some of their schoolmates not dressing the same way as them, it would only lead to polarity even at such tender age, and this overtime nibbles away at the sense of espirit de corps that was meant to exist among them.

If you cannot conform to the rules and guidelines of a school as regards mode of dressing then please take your child to a Muslim school rather than kicking up unnecessary bedlam.

'Freedom of religion and expression' as entrenched in the Constitution has its limits, and all of our actions must fall within the purview of those limits.

Enough said.

Sighh! Who is attacking him? It is his fellow religion mates who are seeing through his motives, not us. My stance is perfectly clear. You quoted my comment without even reading it in your rush to respond. Reread the second paragraph of my comment slowly and with understanding, please.

The comments of your fellow hijab wearing advocates attacking the position of CAN president is all over the thread, so, don't pretend as if you did not see them.

I read your comment and we are both perfectly aligned to freedom of dressing according to religious dictates. I only reiterated my position for better understanding. Hijab, church robes, masquerade cloths etc must be allowed in school. Everyone to their beliefs. That's all.

Matthew 7:

"21 Not everyone who says to Me, "Lord, Lord," shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
22 Many will say to Me in that day, "Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?"
23 And then I will declare to them, "I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness."

Not that I believe that the Bible is authentic. C.D. Lewis, Dr Bart Ehrmann and thousands of other doctors of divinity have described comprehensively that it is not. But you might still believe in it.

God will continue to bless the new CAN president! Political bias and sentiments will never allow people especially from his extraction see the light or say the truth. In light of what we've seen so far..this administration has done nothing but divide this country. He's indeed a Christian leader..we can't keep having lukewarm men of God when the lives of Christians are being threatened daily. God forbid!! People like El Rufai will run to church to indirectly ask for forgiveness when the vengeance of God decends on him, sorry to him...GOD is not a man!! Just imagine the never-do-wells that want to change the Christian doctrine? Imagine madness?!!

If Muslims leaders talk the way this CAN president is talking about how many Muslims are being killed by others and why Muslims must defend themselves then Nigeria will be in chaos because all i read in his speech is hate and intolerance propagation.
Are you deaf or dumb?

The hijab is not a mosque cloth. Women wear it every where. The courts have already affirmed their right to wear it.

In the US, muslim women wear their hijab everywhere including school.

.Is CAN a lawless organisation? Let them go to the Court and seek a redress. I challenge CAN to be bold and stict the issue only to the female students and order the female xtian students to dress in the way of Mary now! What a deviation from the main issue! They must also provide evidence from the bible on the choice of the dressing.

I am sure you missed all the comments above.

By the way, there is no need for anybody to go to court again. If the supreme court upholds the ruling of the court of appeal, everybody should dress according to the dictates of their religion. Freedom of religion is a constitutional right and all Nigerians are entitled to that right.

I read in one book that Jesus never called himself the son of God. if that is true why are we deceiving these children by teaching them what is not true.

Read from one book? Read from the bible. That is the authoritative book that reveals who Jesus truly is.

You are right, Africa will soon be almost all non Christian, just like Turkey, Syria, Egypt, Libya, Morrocco, Albania etc; against all the prophecies and expectations of CFAN 1900-2020. Though Christianity had a headstart of 600 years, and despite the fact that Christians of all persuasions have engaged; and are still engaging today; in oppressive wars of advanced weaponry and rampant media/online calumny against Islam, Islam is still set to overtake Christianity worldwide. Just go check out Muslim gains in Europe and the US; where the Ex-Christians (now atheists) have turned away from the Pauline manipulation of Jesus, we Muslims are reviving his true message.

The Quran was right...

<< And say: "Truth has now arrived, and Falsehood perished: for Falsehood is; by its nature; bound to perish." >>

Quran 17:81.

If you like, dont only 'stand' your faith, frog jump it.

What truth grin?
Christainity & Islam are both offshoots of Judaism.LOL.
How can one be comparatively better than the other?
Better revert to the ways of our forefathers and wean yourself off the make-believe of these Jews/Arabs lipsrsealed.
