banks gives based on availability at the moment so when u apply for 4000 d can give u less

Good morning my people,
God bless all the mama's and papa's that has been helping people tremendously. Only God will replenish ur pockets and pay u for ur time. pls, I will like to know if u can collect PTA from more than one bank for one trip. Since, they now give only $1000.

I am still on this PTA matter. Been denied now by 4 banks. Ecobank, Union bank, Diamond bank and GT bank. Just opened Sterling and Stanbic and those are speaking grammar about running the account for 6 months.

Hello people, been stalling on sharing my birth as I was waiting to receive all my bills. Had my baby in July through c-section delivery at Sisters of Charity hospital, Buffalo in New York. For those interested in birthing in New York, bills are
Hospital: mother 4861, child: 1491 for self pay.

Doc: (used Buffalo ob gyn) I was quoted 2200 for c-section and 2k for vaginal delivery but ended up paying1450$. I met with the billing manager and she billed me based on the number of visits I had. I had only 3 visits with them before my surgery and she said 1k is their cost for surgery.
Epidural: 800 on the condition that I pay before surgery. Their initial quote was 3k. Thank God I called before the surgery.
Am still waiting for the Paediatrician bill for hospital visit
After discharge Paediatrician visit: 153$
Ultrasound:130$
Hiv: 130$. It's compulsory for one to do the hiv test.
In all, God really showed himself and one thing I learnt is we could always ask for additional discount. All thr best to everyone. The phone numbers are on the website.
For the doctor's office, I was rotated between two doctors. the one that took my delivery isn't so patient friendly, they spend little time with you as they are in a hurry to attend to the next person. But they know their job. So if u need a doctor that would gist with u, u could check another doctor office.

Thanks for sharing your experience in Buffalo NY. Pls can you help me with where I can stay? I have being checking Airbnb.com but most apartment seen are highly priced, and do you know which area is better for Naija people where i can see our fellow naijas?

Be sure that all entry/exit travel and visa stamps are actually legit if you are thinking of reapplying. Seems that is where the issue is, those little things we underrate though. Regards

Good morning dears,
I decided I will not post until I have something positive and today God did it the way only Him knows how. After my denial in July, I reapplied with hubby this time and requested for emergency appointment. Went for the interview today and below is the Transcript:

VO: Good morning
US: Good morning
VO: What are you going to do in US?
me: To have our baby
VO: Oh! good. congratulations
US: Thank you
VO: Is this is your first child?
ME: No, our third
VO: Have you travelled before?
ME: Yes, to the UK and Dubai, in 2014. We went with our children
VO: Nodded and looked through the passports, then asks ''what do you both do for work?
ME: I am a supervisor in ........financial institution and have been there for the past 8 years
Hubby: Quality control engineer in ..........dealers in .......... and went on to describe his duties (He sha wanted the VO to be the one to say its okay and he did)
VO: Whats your budget for the trip?
Me: USD13,153.00
vo:Which medical facility will you be using?
Me: Oak Bend Medical Centre
VO: Have a doctor?
Me: Yes, gave him name of Doctor and correspondence.

After checking through the documents, he returned them and at this point he then settled down to look through our passports, mine in particular. You remember I mentioned here that the first VO that denied me perused my passport same way too. Now the truth is that there was actually a stamp I had an agent put on my passport earlier in the year. I didn't know better then. After that denial, and reading the answers from some of you on this thread, I knew it had something to do with those stamps. And so today, the VO showed me the stamp and told they were fake and asked me whether I knew about it, I said yes and told him how I got them on my passports. He was I didnt need to do that and that it will put question mark on my integrity. I told him it was a huge mistake and of course will never do such a thing.

long and short, he approved our Visas with a strict warning on having an agent put stamp on passports. My people if anyone ever tries to convince you there is no God or that He doesnt answer prayers, hmmm.....I pity such a person. Never heard that a VO will see a fake stamp and still approves Visa. Today God showed me how ''the heart of kings are in His Hands''. You may know someone who is as ignorant as I was and considering using an agent, please tell them its the worst decision ever.

Finally, Thank you LadyG, Firsttymum and a host of others here. You guided me well on how to answer well. God Bless.

@feddy, @all,
Pls what are the supporting documents needed to be used for an expedited appointment and how do I get to the appointment confirmation page?
Pls what will the doctor write the on letter cos I want to go see him tomorrow so I can explain to him.
Waiting for your usual contribution.
Thanks in anticipation.
Regards,
O'Cheldas

I have not done this before so i really don't have the experience.

From what I've read, I think you need letters from your doctor in Nigeria and US, bank statements...I don't know what else is needed.

Pls what will the doctor write the on letter
He needs to state your present health condition that should make them grant you an expedited appointment

True. I just attached a letter from my Doctor here and in US, Bank statement and cost as given by US Doctor and it was approved same day. My Doc here just gave a history of my pregnancy from the first day I reported at the hospital. Just normal Doctor's report. What will make them grant your request is probably the age of your pregnancy now against the date of normal appointment.

Wow! Not a chance... That's some miracle there!!! Congrats. I really did notice that was where you likely had issues. Great approach, you did come out straight and that helped too. Divinity did back this one, you straightened your ways as per this error with man and with God on your way up. Those godly activities you did while preparing this time sha, don't let go, build on them, they will take you far on this journey and in life.

Is anybody planning to go down this fake stamps lane henceforth? What worked for one will not of necessity work for another, take serious note.

@Beckyu , I'm happy everything turned out well for you.
But I must say my mind sha. Because I have been here a while and by God's grace will still be here helping where I can.
This your confession can make people not want to bother helping people in future. You knew exactly why you were refused and you came here and made us waste time and effort. If nobody else will say it, I will. It is not fair. You took advtantage of people. If you had said you put fake stamps, Allah me I would have been hard with my comment but I would have told you immedately that vo's are trained to know fake stamps. Down to fake Ghana stamps (yes some people actually do that) and pointed you the right direction.
Next time I see a refusal I'll prolly think in my mind, I wonder what this one hasn't said and not bother myself. The long and short of my epistle is , don't be taking people's good nature for granted. And don't do things that will pour san' san' in other people's garri.
Safe trip and happy dollar hunting

Hello good people. In the spirit of giving back to the thread, got into the USA on Tuesday through BOSTON poe. My daughter has been strong hence looking posting. Journey was very tiring with a 16 month old daughter, extra active. Got into Boston at after 8, long queue, nobody look Belle move us forward. Waited for our turn while praying. Got to our turn.
Was asked if I had gotten any hospital, I said yes, officer asked if I made any payment, I said no that the hospital insisted I come in before making any payment. He kept asking why we didn't pay. I informed him that when I insisted on paying, the option they gave me wasn't available in Nigeria (electronic cheque). I also informed him that I sent funds to my sister and came with cash. The guy wasn't convinced. He stamped hubby and daughter in and sent me for secondary inspection.
I was forming baddo but mehn, heart was racing fast.
Got to secondary inspection and waited for like forever. At a point, the officer there waa carrying a green passport and making several calls. Na I'm i just tell myself if I had known I for no tell anybody say I dey travel o, so na like this them go take send me back without daughter and hubby cos I couldn't place any other Nigerian there. Na so I hear my name, got to the table and saw the other green passport beside the guy. I was so relieved. As the guy was asking why I didn't pay, I brought out receipt of transfer I did to my sister and informed him that I had cash too. He askrd what my sister does, where my husband is, if I work, how am having the baby whether vaginal or c-section. All this o supported with facts for the ones with proof. Finally I was stamped in for 6 months. I bless God, na speed I use leave the place.
I came across some affordable hospitals during my search in ohio for those that may be interested. All my enquiries were for c-section delivery so the quote are for c-section. I contacted Mercy Medical Center , quote is $3789 for 72 hours for both mother and baby. The doctor office I contacted quoted 2500 but refused to the cos I told them I was coming in at 35 weeks. For epidural for c-section, na so I dey price with the company. Spoke with the customer service who gave me 2500, I requested to speak with supervisor, she quoted 1800$ I price 1400$ she finally settled for 1550$. As the doctor office couldn't take me, I was referred to another hospital that has higher equipments in case of high risk pregnancy according to them. Aultman hospital in Ohio too. If u r making use of their doctor, the package is $4830 for mother inclusive of anaesthetic, doctor and hospital and $1210 for baby.
The quotes are for c-section so natural delivery should be cheaper.

All the best mummies and daddies. May our labor never be in vain.

hello, can you help with the contact details of the hospital you used? email preferrably.

Pls house, my wife was refused a visa after dropbox interview. But we want to pay another fee and book for another appointment, only to find out from our US embassy mail account that she can still book appointment with the previous visa fee. i doubted it before but i ask my wife to contact the embassy for this and she called them on different occasions and was answered by different embassy people that she is good to go,just to make sure we dont make a mistake. And we booked the appointment for August 1. But when she wanted to travel a day before her interview, she find out that she has no payment receipt because she submitted it together for the Dropbox before. So that moment i decided with her that she shouldnt take that chance to travel that Long distance and later be turned back by the embassy. we decided to pay and book for another interview coming up in Sept which is far,. So my question is could they have interviewed her had it been that she attended the interview? Because she is still arguing with me about it.Secondly, how do i expedite the interview without any reason? because she is not Pregnant. its just for this summer vacation.

You were able to book an appointment date. Then just because of the receipt? They wouldn't have turned her back.

Yes she needs a receipt to gain entry into the interview hall.......but if you paid online on Gtbank platform, you would have easily reprinted another receipt.

Trying to ignore but this really sounds lame. You never travelled to a country and you have entry and exit stamps on your passport for the country but you had to call your agent to find out where he got the stamps from? Okay, whatever rocks your boat.

Hi Ezemistic, I replied your pm. About accommodation, I really don't know much because I stayed with my sister. About safety, my sister has been living here for some years now and apart from the terrible snow during winter, I have not heard of this place not being safe. I was here last year for my first and now my second child, not experienced any negative reviews and all. I wish you all the best in your search.

Also @ Ezemistic, about Nigerian community in Buffalo, we attend a Redeem church here and they are very helpful to each other. For my first, one of the women in the church that j just met begged me to move to her house for her to take care of me,she couldn't come over to my place cos of her children. I stayed with them for some weeks and all I did was to express for the baby, eat and sleep. She took care of the baby and I throughout our stay. With this birth too, I experienced same care.

Pls can you help with tanko's contact for visa.
Thanks

ozycy:

You don't have to wait for one week before going to collect your child's birth certificate. You had your baby in fort bend county , simply go to their website and check if baby's birth certificate is ready. Mine was ready in about 24hrs after submission and one week after then, it was already on its way to obtaining Naija visa from T anko.
You don't have to go with baby to collect birth cert. Hope you v booked appointment with passport office so you don't have to wait for long for a closer date. Anyways, end of August is still far.
