Pipsbasketing:

- Good success, Good work bro, more good success, like I once said that the line is never expected to be linear.
- You are right that long term trading is the best, you have time for yourself and other several things in your life...I can never return to trade below the daily TF....Good work too

For the bolded, I need to be sincere here, if you do long term trade and want to prove a point to him. I do not think about 3 weeks trade will be enough to prove the point but say about 3-6 months (I stand to be corrected though). Why not just leave the explorer public so you can actually prove the point to him in the long term...........

Above all, I do not think it is necessary to do a business, open an account, trade it only to prove a point and closing it in June after you achieve your target like you said. Trading should be a lifestyle......Just saying, forget about him and enjoy your trade

I think you misunderstand me. This account is for short term trades which are very aggressive. My money management is controlled by my broker leverage rules. I have other accounts which i trade long term. I only opened this account because some traders here pissed me off. Believe it or not, i have been in this business for 20 years and a member of this thread since season1, and only wanted to share my experiences and got clowned for it.

Picking Tops and Bottoms is a fast way to burn your account especially when you don't know how to do it. It's just like support and resistance trading where traders just take trades hoping a particular S/R will hold without any confirmation of taking the trade.

Scenario 1: "You see a strong Resistance with nice 3 touches and you thought, wow, this res. is going to hold and price is going to move down, it looks like the best trade of the year only for price to spike and take ur stop loss and then continue in your said direction".

What went wrong with the " scenario 1" above?
Lack of Good entry strategy, Traders not waiting for confirmation of the said resistance holding before taking a trade

Scenario 2- Price hitting a nice strong resistance like the scenario 1 above.. This time, market decides to move down to your predicted direction like 80 pips below your entry and then "puff", price shot up, took ur stop loss and continue moving up breaking ur so-called strong resistance.

- What went wrong with Scenario 2? Lack of confirmation before taking the trade.

These Two Scenarios do happen to most Traders over and over again and they still continue to make same mistakes because they want to get into trade early. Trying to pick 'Tops and Bottoms"

If you are a forex trader and you still find yourself trading like this, then it's time to find a solution to ur ENTRY STRATEGY"

Peace

so true my brother grin,,,,,,trader still need to keep eyes on those levels strong one scalper can risk 20/30pips trade at the levels. if you are not a scalper take only note of the levels,,,do nothing on the day it touches/bounce off the levels..... wait for the day that the levels with be broken with full speed then throw your weight lots towards the prison break grin and SL just below the levels. it is 80% big win most of the time grin grin

I really do apologise on behalf of such member.
I was nice of you to share your experience and still wonderful that you are still doing that.
You input is highly appreciated. After you commented, I remembered you and you have been around the block a long time.

It would be wonderful to have you here back fully.
Don't worry, no one can clown you or your good work. In the end, the joke would be on the member.

I did see the reason you are still shorting EJ, on the D1 TF, the bulls got nothing on the beers yet.
My believe is the bulls might be short lived.
BTW I already made my 20 pips out of buying EJ, I leave the rest in your care.
Cheers Mate!!

Happy Pip Season.

@jline good to have you back too. wink

some time when it touches the levels and turn to your direction for like some pips as you said and keep on small ranging. check your trading calendar the speed to break the levels is waiting for the news to be announce soon. the news may be next day or anytime soon grin

indirectly trading toward the trend still a win win situation grin

[size=13pt]But sometimes, that spirit to locate all brokers that have taken from me jumps in me, those I have lost in trading with: I feel they have cheated me in the past and take back from them in folds one after the other.

But anyways, I will move on.......The current brokers will suffer it big time cool cool cool cool cool cool cool

Freedom of thoughts though

I tell you bro, news maybe bitchy* and at times, it's a blessing. As much as I hate watching the news calender, I still can't help checking for some news at early times if my entry.
I respect Day traders and scalpers in that aspect, I've not being really able to get around scalping and I don' t want to anyway.

How I Trade Support and Resistance.

N.B: This is for swing, Trend and Day Traders. No scalping

The first chart is the daily chart "Recent EURUSD Chart", as u can see, price is retesting resistance and I'm looking to sell, what I don't know is if it is going to hold or break.

Daily chart traders would have taken the trade based on the indecision candle with stop loss of 100 pips or there about

@Edd1e Nice One Mate,
I really admire you chart,
very clean and simple.
It's always good to learn something new,
thanks for sharing
those fake out could really be annoying most times,
I believe of which are driven by news event.

Here is my trade for today,
Had a rather busy day, so I took only this trade

EURJPY +34 pips i couldn't lock it @35 anymore
squeezing the last one pips can really be a pain sometimes,

Reason for my entry:
1. Price made a triple bottom
2. I saw what happened on the second bottom, price starting rising up after the close of the blue candle,
Do have a Blessed Day,

Exit:
1. price reached the resistance area

Regards
Re: Forex Trading Alerts - Season 16 by Edd1e(m): 4:46pm On Aug 15, 2016
Now price decided to fall and give a 1:1 RR before shutting up to break the resistance taking out stop losses.

It might look like a good trade giving 1:1 RR on daily chart but it's actually bad on daily chart and sometimes. It doesn't even give the 1:1 RR before breaking a resistance and creating a fake break out or trend continuation.

How I enter same trade on H4.

Now, to enter the trade when price is testing the resistance area on daily chart, i usually switch to the next lower time frame ( which is H4 in this case), I'll wait for price to break the previous lows and form "higher high/ higher low" which is the "Confirmation" that the resistance area is going to hold and then pull the trigger

On the H4 chart below, price creates hh hl and I enterd d trade at the break of that aqua colored TL, Price gives a 1:1 RR which is no better but less risky than the daily chart

Taking the second trade:

Here, Daily chart s/r trader would av been burnt on the fake break out but "Waiting for confirmation of the trade by switching to the next lower tf" on H4 Chart, the fake break out would av bn avoided.
There is a later better entry with nice RR of just 55 pips where the Daily Support and Resistance Trader would be licking their wounds on the fake break out now ..

From chart below, the first chart is the H4 chart with the first entry b4 the fake out and second entry after the vertical red line

2nd Chart is the Daily chart

N.B the above is just for information purposes only and an excerpt of what I consider to enter my trades.
I use other tools like EMA, Heiken Ashi candles and Trendline.

Now for those itching to buy GBPJPY, With my analysis I will only buy if price does some thing like the chart below using the previous support and resistance trading method.

From Daily chart, Price is approaching a support area, To buy this pair and for confirmation of the support holding or not. I will switch to the next lower tf and look for change of trend formation, price forming HH and HL on H4

Yea bro, that was an H1 analysis which I was showing him but I only trade D1, and according to my D1 analysis below, there is no clear direction as of the moment, but it is at its turning point to buy, though the turn is not yet confirmed, and after it is confirmed, it has to be locked in.

Obviously, I can never sell GJ throughout this week but will be looking for only buy and that is if its turn and lock-in is confirmed.

I hope those itching to buy this pair found a sell entry in this current retracement
