I would be at Ecobank to place my bid for NTB, hopefully I'd be able to put in my bid (chances are slim) or at least get a good rate. Better than having them give me peanut over my money.

Also have to get to that silly Gtbank that tells one auction has clossed all the time. angry

@ oga feelamong and other gurus in the house..... what are the rates like at the secondary market?

Please Oga Feel among and other gurus in the house, what rates are safe for this coming bid?

Also, can we get the direct CBN link on how to check the secondary market rates so as to guide us in future.

Thanks guys.
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Acidosis(m): 9:37am On Aug 16, 2016
So I've made up my mind to place a bid with gtbank today. I will risk 18.00% (1 year).

@skydiver01, your explanations here informed my decision on the 364days tbills as I earlier read that only 91 days and 182 days are available
the calendar shows N50b 364day new issue is to be offered.
I hope I'm on the right track, boss?

If Gtb deny me the choice to place that bid, my plan B is to open a stanbic acct immediately.

I just confirmed that 90 days closed at 15.2% at the secondary market yesterday...

180 days also closed at 16.2%

not looking good at all....only a fresh OMO by CBN today would help these rates

Am not bidding today so i will not be too interested in the outcome.. cheesy

If I was a betting guy, i will wait till 12 noon and if there is still no OMO, I will go with these rates.....

LIQUIDITY TOO MUSH! cheesy

If you dont like the drama of all this, just quietly go to the secondary market and purchase at 14%

URGENT ATTENTION PLS!!!

I just got a message from Ecobank cos I transfered some money last night and this morning

"dear customer, your account has been upgraded to tier 3. Pls visit any Ecobank branch with a valid ID card to update your account."

I hope this won't cause any hindrance, also... What's a tier 3 account?
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Acidosis(m): 10:17am On Aug 16, 2016
What meaning can one possibly draw from this?

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by feelamong(m): 10:41am On Aug 16, 2016
OK..

CBN HAS JUST CALLED FOR OMO NOW...

This would change the dynamics of the Auction...

There's no ish.

Tier 3 Account is a CBN generated account class. I did same couple of weeks back.

Just take your Valid ID to any of their branch for account upgrade.

Have been following this thread of recent. I appreciate the inputs.

What banks would you best advice for bills transaction?

Is any of UBA, Ecobank good? And should the account be savings or current?

Which banks allow you o quote your own rates for auctions?

Gracias.

I can't believe I missed out two times on the best time to benefit from this NTB.

Too bad I didn't see all these rates before placing my bid with Stanbic.

I shouldn't have gone earlier.

Anyway, the dude that attended to me was surprised when I nod in affirmative that Stanbic 91days bid didn't sail through during last auction cos I told him I didn't bid.

Bank Guy: How did you know we lost out of the 91days bid?

Me: I follow some interesting guys...

Bank Guy: Twitter?

Me: Nairaland

Bank Guy: Nairaland? I thought all they do is to report one celebrity did this and that...

Me: Nairaland has different threads based on your interests...

From our conversation, bankers knowledge of TB is dependent on their interests. The lady beside him do not know 10% of what he knows.
