Mtn is slow and they are thieves.
I have been using glo 2500 for 10g, I dont regret it at all.
They are sinply the best.

Pls if glo is slow in your area please move to another network, rather than come here and write trash about them.

God bless you my brother. I don't know why people keep attacking them. I have been using glo 2500 for 10g for a over 2month now and I don't regret it. Yes there r times during network will disappear but it returns almost immediately BTW 2-5seconds... Even the Etisalat people r screaming about is terrible in my area. Mtn is worse. Airtel is d only one I can try. IT'S ALL DEPENDS ON LOCATION!!!!!

All my life I've never seen a poor data service like glo... I always feel like frustrated, almost threw my phone one day cos of the poor network. It's same everywhere I go, MTN 2g is better than glo 3g.
NCC should just ban them

hehehe. bro. I have been using Glo since the bis apn changing thing and I will tell u that it has been hassle free. it is fast, reliable and cheap. I use glo to download torrents and I watch it download sharply. glo just doesn't disappoints except maybe they have a network problem. I ma yet to see the area Glo doesnt work well with.

Nigerians always on the Negative spiral cry they find negativity in every situation....which network is perfect? Use the network that's good in your location and let the others be....stop tarnishing people's business they've spend years toiling to build. That's how I listened to people complains about Glo poor network and almost missed out on the mega data deals Glo offer unknowingly it's the fastest network in my location..don't follow what people say 97% Nigerians are bitter and full of negativity, always looking for things/someone to blame.

You are very right, all because it's a nigerian based network, hatred for Nigeria by the same Nigerian.
They see anything foreign to be superior to their home groom. All networks are having similar challenges be it Mtn, Etisalat, and airtel they are all almost the same in terms of quality, and the fact that quantity is in favour of GLO, I will crown them the real KING Of DATA.

If GLO is not OK in ur location please switch to other networks that suits you and stop pulling down the Good work GLO has been delivering to the good people of Nigeria. If not for GLO sim card would still be selling for ten of thousands of naira, the same GLO forced other networks to charge per seconds we could still be in raping session of 50 naira per minutes even if ur call dropped on 2 seconds. Now GLO also forced them to be reasonable with data charges across all networks and some Ingrate Nigerian wanna pull them down with nonsense sentiment.

I have been using GLO for over 5 years now and I can tell u my MTN can only smell credit recharge just to keep it alive. GLO rules my world and I'm grateful.

Re: Why Glo Will Lose The Data Wars! by dipeolu16(m): 9:16am On Aug 20, 2016
That's why you see that their data price compared to the worth #2000 - 6GB and so on like that is different from other network. They use their data charges to improvise for their bad network.....
Re: Why Glo Will Lose The Data Wars! by Anwonspee(m): 9:16am On Aug 20, 2016
I believe glo. Team glo I belong in terms of data.

MTN is worst. When ever I subscribe mtn, I won't be having service as I used to.

OP, you can only convince others.

It doesn't happen with your phone. But it happens with several phones. Try Tecno H5 and see the magic happen. Glo can't even fix this because it has been proven several times with many phones. Verify before speaking with authority next time. A simple Google search of glo turns on my gps will help.

Politicalidiot:

Glo seriously just had to know where I was. . Even if you turn it off, within a minute it was back again. And God help you if you sleep off without putting off your data. Just kiss your fully charged battery Goodbye. Especially in this era that Nepa doesn't have joy

That problem is due to the fact that glo 3.5G is as unstable as uranium. It fluctuates like hell! So your device tries to always lock onto a fake Glo 3G which is more like 2G. The device uses huge battery juice to attain this locking (similar to searching for network)

This was the last straw. I couldn't take it again (I probably will until my subscription expires Sunday. So, yes. I posted this with Glo). A bad User experience coupled with poor network? Glo is silently but surely heading for the data Gallows.
Ever since Glo came on board and cos I have sworn never to have anything to do with MTN because of their cannibalistic approach when they got to Nigeria, I promised to stay by the Nigerian brand and I maintained this stance all the years. Three months ago, Glo helped me to break my covenant partially. I still stayed away from MTN, but ported the Glo number to Airtel. Now I enjoy blazing data speed (although at little extra cost) and clear call connection. No more missed and dropped calls from business partners only for glo to send you SMS hours after notifying you that so so and so tried to call you.

I have also ported two other members of my family from glo to Airtel. Glo custocare has called me a few times since then. I just tell 'em plain and simple to check my records of loyalty for years, but I can't keep hurting myself all in the name of patriotism.

Glo is a curse! NCC should ban them for scamming customers with their fake internet service.
Their 3G is just like MTN AIRTEL and Etisalat 2G

Glo puts on your GPS? Wow... Another level of ignorance

Let me help you with this..

The reason why the GPS turn on when the data is turned on is because your GPS settings is in high accuracy which makes your phone use Assisted GPS (gps with data )

If you don't want the GPS ,turn of both the GPS service And location based service.

Glo or any other provider doesnt need your GPS for anything .they already track you via triangulation from their base stations.

Bro, go and find Tecno H5 and see what happens. OP is right. After all settings, it comes back on after just 2min

Op, by now you should know that isp performance is based on location.

Also, it's impossible for Glo or any other network to turn on your phones GPS.
Check your phone settings, or maybe you installed a rogue app.

Glo turns on gps in some versions of Android phones.Get the facts right. Find a Tecno H5

3. GPS: Remember when I said it was as if Glo owned my phone? Yea right. They had to one up themselves didn't they? Any time I put on my data connection, so would My GPS be unceremoniously turned on. I suspected foul play on Glo 's part and a simple Google search brought me to this page on NL - https://www.nairaland.com/2899604/gps-keeps-turning-automatically-after/1 confirming my suspicion. Glo was the culprit!!! Did anyone inform Glo I played Pokemon Go? Wetin person dey use GPS do for naija? I tire.
[/quote]

It is impossible that glo turns on your gps automatically, it is definitely
your phone settings.

As to the network speed, since I relocated to another place, I have been
enjoying a great speed of about 700kb/s-1.4mb/s, it is better you use
a network that is good in your area instead of being tempted by glo's
charity data. Glo is never losing the data war at least not with me.

Glo is a yes for me
Network is very OK in most locations I visit and where I live.

They deduct their data reasonably unlike some that their 2g is 1g, their 2g is 2g they will even add jara.

Price is very very fair

All networks have their issues even glo, a sizeable amount of people subscribe with their glo sim

If the network is bad in your area switch to another network.

All these glo is the worst threads won't stop people that are getting good services from glo to stop subscribing.

Still the best for me.
