Do you know how old a bank statement must be? I have a bank statement I collected from the bank in May 2016, is that good or should I collect another one?

Hello everyone,
- Is it mandatory for one to book a flight before applying for visit visa?

- If the visit visa is issued, will I be requested to visit VAC to collect or they will mail it back to me?
- How can I get to the VAC in VI from Oshodi?

Please advise.

No it's not, you can book after getting your visa

Hello house and justwise, pls I have a question, can one be denied uk visa after been given 3 times previously? Cos tho I applied for the 3 in nigeria nd the renewals took maximum of 6 days for me to get back, but now m in Europe, applied with my baby here nd its 8 working days still haven't heard back from dem..I said I was sponsoring myself cos m on maternity leave nd I get paid by d government,I showed proof of d payment, acct statement, residence permit photocopy, childs birth certificate, letter from my hubby. My past visas,I never used more dan a month,I put my marriage certificate in,invitation letter of my host and passport page... or is dere something I should have added? Cos this one its taking long,I hope they are not typing my appeal letter so, or whats ur take?

Yes that is possible because every application is treated on its own merit though your previous immigration records helps as well

Sorry but the same as so many others.
You did not provide strong enough proof that you will return after your visit.
Your bank account had deposits that you did not explain.

Work on your proof to return and explain your bank account better then re-apply.

You need to read back here and USA section to understand
Strong proof to return home.

But managed landed property
Family and children
Letter from employer stating that you will return after holiday.
All work towards convincing the VO.

Also explain EVERYTHING deposited into your account.

In the PDF checklist I downloaded after booking appointment, there is no mention that you must include passport-sized color photograph, isn't that odd?

I do not think there's a requirement for passport photograph, I submitted in IKEJA 2 weeks back and was even surprised to hear passport photo is not needed instead the one taken with their machine was printed on the Visa.

Hello all! Great Job you guys doing helping intending travelers on this section!

Please, I need help with a couple of matters.

1. When writing an invitation/sponsorship letter in support of a visa application at Ikeja, what is the correct address to use. I only have the VI address.

2.My intending guest seems to be in a situation akin to 'self-employment' (no company), where the income varies from month to month. How will monthly income be stated on the application form, seeing as the amounts are not the same every month? Will an average figure over a period suffice? e.g, total of figures over 6 months divided by 6? or the figure from the latest month?

3.There is also the matter of money from family/friends coming into the account monthly but not regular/fixed amounts. Should one use an average figure or the figure from the latest month?

Thanks in advance!

Hi guys,
Thanks for the great work you are doing.
I submitted my application for a 6month visa on the 5th of Aug and my application is not yet out. I got a mail from them about 3 days ago stating that the processing of my application has not been straightforward hence they would need more time.
I work in a bank and I got all the necessary letters from HR, so I am amused that my application wud pend for this long. Now the issue is something came up recently and would need my international passport on the 6th of sept. What do I do house?
