sukkot:Mr man, the commissioner of police in Enugu is not a Yoruba man. Is Emmanuel Ojukwu a Yoruba name? |

Laburus:@the bolded, yet they blackmail others by their sermons of marginalization. I may sound tribalistic here, but I think our political leaders in the south west are naive, this is how tinubu and fasola started by giving these fellows appointments and still they threatened to determine who will be the next governor in the 2015 elections against their wish. The oba of Lagos had to do a dirty work for them. I wish Amosun and Ogun state goodluck in their quest, I know Amosun is strategically thinking of his successor in 2019 and he is scared of the threats from the opposing camp against his preferred successor. If the sw governors are truly delivering the dividends of governance to their people especially in the area of job creation, there will be no need of all these political patronages to fellows who will still turn around and spit on your face. |

Goke7:Are you saying that the wishes of Tinubu and Fashola are more important than the wishes of the people in electing the governor of Lagos state? Again, are you implying that the Igbos determine who becomes governor in Ogun state in the second leg of your comment? |

ndosorry:And a tiny voice will keep hailing you that you made sense. That's the voice of stupidity. The fact remains that Igbos are ungratefool and always feel entitled, instead of y'all to stay in your caves and develop them, y'all migrate to different parts of the country and start claiming 'developers'. You saying that your monies developed Lagos is an insult on the the multinationals paying millions in taxes, private business owners and the civil servants that get taxes deducted from their salaries before they say Jack Robinson. How many times have you heard of other tribes causing chaos wuth their utterances and actions in the East? Because they know better than to disrespect their host, you lousy lots would never do the same. Y'all need to change. |

Why? Why? Why? This is the same mistake Tinubu made the other time all because of his federal ambition. Up till now, Yorubas haven't fully recovered from his misadventure. Anyway, Ogun, unlike Lagos, does not belong to all Yorubas. I leave Ogun indigenes to take him up. |

Rehabilitation:Abeg let's get real, every Governor or president are always 100% interested in who succeeds them, its all politics and the igbos have been seen to be very useful in any political calculations in Nigeria right now because of the way they litter themselves everywhere due to their republican nature. This is what the pdp used very well in the Lagos Guber and national assembly elections last year which made it possible to see igbos and other non-indigenes representing Lagos in the House of reps. With way the Lagos population is spilling over into Ogun state territories via ota, mowe, akute and environs, surely we now have lots of igbos in ogun state territiory even in places like ogijo-sagamu axis. Politicians are no fools, they understand what this means and will use it very well to their advantage, after all the numbers is what is most important in winning elections not too much grammar. |

basilo101:You know you are wrong about that right? 1. Lagos and Ibadan as mentioned above, both have strong economy which actually attracted most people from other part of the country. So if I can stay in my region and make it big, why unnecessary migration. 2. A large community of Yoruba exists in other states up in the north and in the southern part of the country. (GOGGLE IT PLS). Though It might not be as much as the Igbos' integration in the south/North. More list later. |

Goke7:Lol, you are contradicting yourself, bro. In your previous post, you were against the governors appointing Igbos in their government and here you alluded to the importance of Igbos in Nigeria politics. Then the question is since you know the importance of Igbos in the political calculations of Nigeria, why are you against the governors who are integrating them knowing their importance in the political calculations of their states? |

Rehabilitation:wen last dd u visit home? if Enugu state cld sack non-indigenes in 2001, Abia repeated same, including women from other Igbo speaking states married to Abia n Enugu men. isn't that a sign of wickedness? our elders say "ogo bu ikwu ato' meaning that an in-law is part of d family but our leadership perpetrated such wicked act n many ppl clapped for them for such callousness. Even almighty US n UK still search for and employ people from other countries but we cldnt accommodate our own. av given up on useless 419ners n thieves that lead us n fellow youths who foolishly follow n praise them. Rehabilitation:Good question, the sw governors themselves know that they themselves are not getting it right in terms of employment generation for the teeming youths which is always a good ground for their political opponents to use against them in campaigning for elections. The easiest way out to navigate this is for them is to pander towards ethnic sentiments which is the norm in today's politics. Have you ever wondered why despite going to campaign in markets dominated by igbos, they still go on to demolish or drive them away all in the name of development? Forget all the talk of integration, its all politics to get the required numbers for their political gains, use and dump as usual. |

solok:Why are you mad? A governor makes a laudable step to unite the country and all you can do is talk rubbish? Someone has to extend the hand of peace and in this case it is a Yoruba governor in the SW. What's not to like? Now in the SE the same thing can be done. And then it can spread to the rest of the country. |

This is the reason ibos will never respect Yoruba. They call us cowards and we are sure acting like it. To ibos (as we can see from the first page of this thread) it's their smartness and not the goodness of the Yoruba's heart that got them the position. Now watch as we are taunted with this till Amosun leaves office. Yoruba leaders are dropping the ball each day, they are tone deaf to their own people's plights of having to defend ourselves daily for being 'accommodating'. For this single act, I withdraw my support for Amosun, he's now one of the AKOTILETA enemies of the Yorubaland. When a people refuse to mark their boundaries for outsiders, they lose even the ground they stand on. This was very unnecessary, and the next thing we'll see in few years is the ibo man running for political office in ogun, as we have now given him the head start he needed. It should have been an unwritten rule that no ibo should be appointed or elected anywhere in Yorubaland while we clean the mess we have on our hand. The ancient Yoruba were the brave ones, the Yoruba of today are feckless cowards. One tribe that will be in danger of outside influence more than any other is Yoruba. Self preservation is key, and Yoruba are lacking. |

Wyttcat:I see where you are coming from, but we can not be like them, we can not stoop to their hate, anger, bitterness and bigotry level. As Yoruba people, we are great and ahead of the rest of Nigeria because we are not preoccupied with the sad burden of hate and anger like that crippled them and their ability to so see, reason and perform beyond such ills that's been crippling them since the beginning of time. They are at the bottom of everything because of hatred, anger, bitterness and bigotry so why stoop to that level? Our ways, pluralistic nature, lifestyle and culture is the reason why we are great and why our region is the recipient of nearly every investment entering Nigeria so why lose that edge and dirty ourselves because of some backward, unsophisticated and hate mongering people.? Let them remain in their gutter, we don't have to get into that gutter with them.. |
