Hello house, join us in thanking the almighty God, our little one was born 2.am on 31/08/2016. Dr dama wasn't around to perform the c section and was in active labour Dr nelson who was on call took charge. Very nice doctor. Also met two Nigeria nurses at methodist hospital, they were so helpful and friendly. It was a beautiful experience. Please can anyone who used methodist hospital give me the name of paediatrician used after leaving the hospital and the cost. I stay close to sugarland. Thanks everyone.

Good day everyone.
At 37 week 3 days on the 20th of Aug, My daughter decided she was ready. I woke up at 4am and was feeling pains like menstral cramps. Gisted with my sis till 8am. She advised we just go to d hospital, just in case it was the real thing, I was like -so if na false labour nko, northside go just slam person $1k for nothing. Lol.
To cut the long story short. We set out at 9am on the dot, 30 mins into the ride, the pain hit me like mad. I first removed my shoe and started shouting Jesus. The pain was not here o and the contractions were 5mins apart.Hospital was 20mins away.
Immediately I got to d hospital, I began to push. Before I entered labour room, baby's head was out.got to the hospital 9.52 and had my baby 10.02.It was a miraculous birth.no time for epidural.Haaaa!!!!! God is faithful. Baby is healthy. Thanks to God.

U can't buy before ur traveling date. Inshort us need ur boarding pass before u can buy. Then u go early do u can be among like the first one or second to buy before they tell you it's finished.

Thanks for your response. I remember we met in houston. How is ur lil one? The boarding pass you referred to, is it the e-boarding pass which i can print 48 hours before departure or the one i will get from the airline counter.

Hello mums and dads,

My question is for this cards usuage Etc in the US. My account officer told me in Gtb that I could take out 300dollars daily to d limit of 1k per month but no show o. Could only take 100dollars daily and sometimes the money wudnt come out saying 'I have exceed my limit' even when I haven't taken any money.

Thanks in advance mums and dads

The international spending limit was reviewed recently to $100 per day

I used travelex on my day of travel and it was the actual boarding pass I gave them. Why not call their numbers to find out, I believe they should be able to clarify that for you.

Abeg how do I hit coupon jackpot too?

Hello mamas. Trust everything is going well both home and abroad. Congrats to all with successful POE testimonies and visa approvals and to all the latest mamas in the block.

Heads up for everyone looking at saving on buying stuffs for their LO, huggies diapers is currently on sales at shoprite stores at $6.99 for the nylon pack ( usually contains btwn 27 - 38 per pack depending on the size) and $16.99 for the small box size (varies btwn 72 -100 depending on the size also). And if you be like me wey just hit coupon jackpot, you will get the nylon pack for $2.99 instead of $6.99 and the small box at $10 instead of 16.99.

The small nylon pack is a better deal than the box one.

The person I asked in FBN said that CBN just sold dollars and they missed it. That they will take part in the next one and will sell PTA in select branches.

It's funny that all these banks say they are not selling PTA but they show PTA sales in their published FX utilization schedule. Begs the question who are they selling PTA to.

Mostly staff.

Took out time today to watch Trump's speech on Immigration. Quite comforting to know he did not mention stopping citizenship to babies born by non-immigrant in the US.

One thing is clear though, they would be reviewing their immigration laws soon.

Good Evening House,

I am ardent follower of this thread hopeful that my wife and I would have our baby delivered in the states.

I have called some hospitals in the US, and we have settled to go with Texas as it is way cheaper compared to other states.

I was hoping I could get honest advice on how to approach this as we have two options:

1. Apply for the visa together. Question is, what if the VO asks if we are expecting right now? Would we acknowledge or deny?
2. She alone would apply stating she is going to have the baby there and provide doctors correspondence and hospital receipts.

We have the funds available both in Naira and USD to cover the cost of the trip and we both have travel experiences.

Please do share your honest recommendations as this is our first baby and we want the best.

Thank you in advance.
