When Gej was there y didn't they avenge their so called people as they Claimed, cox then they were seeing free money ba. Guy forget, this is more of political and personal agitation on d side of d militants at d expense of good people of Niger Delta
Just allow them. They are complaining of hardship and at the same time praising the group that are bringing the economy down just to have reason to condemn this administration.

Buhari will only set the ND on a seccession cause with this rubbish.

This will only make the ND more united with the Biafran cause in future.

I foresee , Biafran militia liberating the ND from the evil satanic NA and with that the heart's and minds of the good people of Niger Delta will be reunited with their brothers in the SE.

Buhari you are creating the best scenario for Nigeria's balkaniztaion

So what do you propose, he should leave them alone.
MEND in those days fought for a just cause that everyone understands, they want to create a sovereignty of their own, how is that different from what Boko Haram are agitating for.
please don't make comment like this just because you think its affect you alone, you think because there are not news of death that there isn't, or the bombing of those facilities is actually putting food on the table of those in the region. that area is already polluted, they are only making it worse.
And you talk of Nigeria Army as if they are made up of a particular tribe alone, hundred of them are killed everyday.

Many of you guys have not experience armed robbery attack not to talk of war, so you won't know how it feels, war favours no one, everybody have to pay a price for it, including does living in the region.

The best decision any one can make now is to borrow money and travel to wherever you can earn us dollar..... Because this war may end like that of Libya. I see Russia, Germany, North Korea coming to the aid of the Niger Deltans. When it starts there will be realignment of SS and SE and i see them start running a parallel Government from abroad. This dangerous play may not end soon.... cry cry cry cry

Crude exploration and exportation will continue unhindered.

Well, that's why they are returning again. This time, they are well prepared and well fortified grin

There is bound to be casualties on both sides - military and militants. However, i know the Nigerian army will come out tops.

These militants are "moin moin" compared to the boko haram boys. Can militants wear suicide vests or have the guts to plant IEDs?
hehehe grin grin grin. When they hear of just one bombardment, they will start shouting genocide. This is getting interesting. God bless the Armed Forces.

The strategy of the FGN " Make peace but prepare for war". This is classic strategy. During the dispute over the Falkland Islands as well as the Gulf War 1 and 2 Britain, and in the latter cases the coalition began massive troop build up while discussions were ongoing. There is nothing strange about this. It is just the way the army works. It doesn't mean they are going to fight anybody but it does mean they are prepared to fight should this be necessary. I would be surprised if sir borne systems have not already located targets and are keeping them monitored.

It takes a few weeks for any army to be at combat readiness; there is logistics, supply chain - a whole load of stuff that has to swing into operation flawlessly. Hence the prior preparation.

I suspect though that this build up is targeted more against the possibility of a declaration of secession as threatened by the militants for October 1. Should that happen then I think the worst will take place.

What would I do if I lived there? Make sure you are as far away from any militant camps as possible, do not allow arms to be stored in and around your premises.

The other part of the plan is to increase investment into the area based on the results of the ongoing dialogue. In the long term efforts are on to diversify nigeria's energy mix and earnings mix in an aggressive manner. Today the risk may be from the militants, tomorrow it could come from Chad or ISIS.

We need to be fair. No Government will fold it hands and wait for any part to declare secession. To do so in the light of what we now know would be a bad joke. A badly calibrated bad joke.

They've been yelling genocide since 1890 grin

Which international community has come to their aid? NONE!!!!

Why? Because they know the people of south south are the architects of their own misfortune and they brought the bombardments upon themselves.

This is not a reason to support criminals. NDA has not physically killed but they have indirectly done that. Do you have an idea of how many people have lost their jobs and who may have died of hunger and sickness because NDA has crippled operations of some companies. Their fight is with the government and a reason why you see what is up there. I am not supporting the herdsman in anyway here but the host communities themselves can do something about this herdsmen.

The FG needs to use whatever measures necessary to ensure the country functions.

People cannot be screaming that they are hungry whilst at the same time applauding those who sabotage the very economy from which they would be fed.

The militants were quite brazen in their action and utterance simply because they had rigged up most of the pipelines before the presidential handover.

The military is concerned about the yet unexploded ordnance which could be of great danger to members of the community unwary of their presence.

The military would not sit back and watch law and order break down with such fanfare and gusto.

Their presence is definitely most needed and welcomed in the Niger Delta.

Kudos.

Let's see who will win

They used deception to milk niger delta oil and impoverish the area. They used one nigeria to milk niger delta oil and impoverish them more. Now that niger deltans eyes don clear, they are now using intimidation and possibly, war to continue milking niger delta oil and impoverish them even more. Buhari has clearly shown that he is a northern president. His brothers, the herdsmen have been murdering people everywhere but buhari has done nothing. In less than 2 years in power, buhari has destroyed everything. Now he's about to go to war. I have to agree with the person that said God is using buhari to punish nigerians. This man has nothing to offer but more poverty and gnashing of teeth. I rest my case.

War doesn't benefit any1 not even d victor cos lives wld be lost. Ask Gowon if u doubt it. But if it's war Buhari is bringing, he shld remember dis is not 1985. I'd rather he act as a father of a nation seek out why these issues hv risen. And pls stop d hypocrisy, why ddnt he deploy d military to tackle d fulani herdsmen?

Those Soldiers killed in the creek are not human or do not have loved ones shebi? This same militants have kidnapped and threatened sovereignty of Nigeria. They are up to attacking other society, spreading their campaign to South west. In South west, they killed people, kidnapped locals, raped women and little children, killed landlords who reported their evil act to police and rasacking a whole community. If this is not terrorism, I dont know what else to call it. NDA admitted they killed Soldiers and their extensive arm in Arepo is all about killing and maiming.

Spilling sentiment overboard this time is not going to help this time around.
