They used deception to milk niger delta oil and impoverish the area. They used one nigeria to milk niger delta oil and impoverish them more. Now that niger deltans eyes don clear, they are now using intimidation and possibly, war to continue milking niger delta oil and impoverish them even more. Buhari has clearly shown that he is a northern president. His brothers, the herdsmen have been murdering people everywhere but buhari has done nothing. In less than 2 years in power, buhari has destroyed everything. Now he's about to go to war. I have to agree with the person that said God is using buhari to punish nigerians. This man has nothing to offer but more poverty and gnashing of teeth. I rest my case.

please shut up, all the Niger delta criminals must have something to worry about as we worry about inflation and exchange rate they caused.

So, I want to assure the law-abiding citizens to remain calm as they see troop movements and equipment they have not seen before. They should go about their lawful activities without fear. Nothing will happen to any law-abiding citizen. We are here to protect them,” the commander said.

Nice one, better late than never . . . should have done this like last year.

The best decision any one can make now is to borrow money and travel to wherever you can earn us dollar..... Because this war may end like that of Libya. I see Russia, Germany, North Korea coming to the aid of the Niger Deltans. When it starts there will be realignment of SS and SE and i see them start running a parallel Government from abroad. This dangerous play may not end soon.... cry cry cry cry

Germany? North Korea? Russia? Oga u don't even know shiit about international politics.

Besides their beef with south Korea have u ever heard NK in the news?

Germany is a US ally, they do what US tells them and have no biz with africa after World war 1 made em loose their territories (nigeria was not one of their territories)

As for russia nigeria ain't worth being @ loggerheads with U.S for... they couldn't even help their man gaddafi .

Africa holds no strategic interest to russia but they have slowly began to enter the african sphere...

Truth be told only russia and china are viable...for weapons purchase only

They're outnumbered on the security council so the only thing you're right about is this play may not end soon.

As for the ND and SE...are they ready. And well equipped to sacrifice 10million+ lives and fight a 10year war to get independence?

There is bound to be casualties on both sides - military and militants. However, i know the Nigerian army will come out tops.

These militants are "moin moin" compared to the boko haram boys. Can militants wear suicide vests or have the guts to plant IEDs?
In your warped mind abi?
You want to compare the billionaire militants with the poverty stricken bokoharam with no knowledge nor ideology. the militants have more sophisticated weapons than even the military.n don't forget the battle will be in the creeks .this is not like fighting in the forest where the military are well trained.
The casualties I see in this forthcoming battle will be on the sides of the innocent civilians n the military.
The militants wud be victorious.
Let's face it this government csnnnot win this war.

Thing is buhari is gradually taking himself towards spending the rest of his life in prison. I see buhari in the hague soon.

What has IYC and the Chief said about the criminality in the region, hundreds of commuters , indigene are brutalized by criminals on a daily basis in the region, people are being kidnapped, robbed and butchered and they say nothing.

The so called avengers dont even care about their people or environment all they want is easy money to buy cars and flex.

Sanity has to be restored to that region. IJN

Am from Bayelsa. After bombing pipelines that our very survival depended on,people should know there would be consequences for criminal actions. We should only complain when innocent people are harassed by the military but for criminal under any guise and name they should be prepared to face the music.

When the gods want to kill a man, they make him mad first....

Let the military continue to deploy more soldiers and ammunitions in the ND...infact, let them start killing people there.

We need lots of evidence for the ICC in Hague and NATO to work with when "somebori" will be eventually given the Ghaddafi Treatment.

Violence or war has never solved any problem. As much as I mourn the underdevelopment of the Niger delta, this militia madness has to stop. The NDA are not getting weapons for free some individuals are sponsoring them much more we need to question the source of the sponsor's wealth, who knows perhaps it could be the collective wealth of the Niger delta. Secondly ever militia group head overnight became millionaires while the people they were fighting for are still living in penury, could it be they are fighting for their pockets and no matter what we do there is always going to be a militia group in the Niger delta at every point in time?

FG need to make sure that there is sustainable development in this region by investing in infrastructure that will be the only justification of counterattack. People in the Niger delta dey suffer lets think of a better route of providing them prosperity.

You fail to see the difference between an invasion of a foreign country, and army getting rid of miscreants. Militants claim that they will release missiles that will land in aso rock, they claimed that no aircraft should fly that they will shoot it down, they claim that everyone should leave the region, they claim to break up, and you guys expect the fg to fold their hands and watch?

Even when we said militants were the cause of the economy, we said its the presidents duty to secure the nation. Lets allow him do it the way he knows how because no excuse in 2019.

The FG needs to use whatever measures necessary to ensure the country functions.

People cannot be screaming that they are hungry whilst at the same time applauding those who sabotage the very economy from which they would be fed.

The militants were quite brazen in their action and utterance simply because they had rigged up most of the pipelines before the presidential handover.

The military is concerned about the yet unexploded ordnance which could be of great danger to members of the community unwary of their presence.

The military would not sit back and watch law and order break down with such fanfare and gusto.

Their presence is definitely most needed and welcomed in the Niger Delta.

Kudos.
dont also forget that the ND Region are d once still keeping the nation as one nigeria...pmb should becareful, if nt he will go down as d worst president who divide nigeria

Why can't you diabolical hypocrites use resources from other parts of Nigeria to fund the entire Nigeria...

you are talking of 13% and bad leaders, why can't your good leaders use your own resource and leave the ND with their resources and bad leaders ?
When the Economy was run by Farm produce from the North we all were Benefiting from it as to even the refinaries and all facilities on ground where built with same farm revenue. At a time the government has decide to diversify the Economy away from Oil, we should give them the benefit of doubt and stop creating issues from nothing. Its high time you hold those in charge of the NDDC accountable to what they use the 13% derivation fund for, over the years.
