Please I want to know from people currently studying in Canada if Nigerians studying over there are behaving badly. Seems like there's a distrust towards applications coming from Nigeria. I'm the first to consider Canada but where I come from we apply honestly and perform super, sister got a distinction in UK after a lower from Nigeria, qualified for a grant but hated the weather and ran back, a friend was just offered full PhD funding at Edinburgh after her Masters. Even my friend who just finished from UNB, although he wouldn't tell me what he finished with, got poached while still in school by a government contractor in Ottawa. If Nigerians in schools abroad are average-sound academically, should there be any reason to shut them out in mass? Or Nigerians just need to look inwardly?

Do you have work experience and other documents to support your application? If you do, they may still consider you. Also, if your performance in the last two years is up to the required standard, they will still consider you. Look for a very strong area in your academic career and apply or try another school.
Thanks bro, please can you suggest any other university with cheap rate? I did my Post Graduate Diploma in Education in National Teachers Institute but the cert is not available now. What do you think i should do?

Kindly respond.

Your own better, someone asked for help fr His Younger brother going to Toronto/ Manitoba and later to Brandon and I offered to help. A place to stay both in Toronto and Winnipeg but I told him he will drop some food items fr his host in Toronto, He agreed.
My contact even agreed to pick him up at the airport savinv Him $50 for Taxi.
We were talking on phone and I told them I will bring the items to the airport, call the host so that they can talk then give the guy travelling the hosts number so I can be sure the person getting the number is actually travelling they agreed.
The on the set day, I called and the guy travellling wasnt picking till 3pm, so I called the sister who said they are on the way from Benin to Lagos.
My next call the father picked and said the boy isnt leaving again. Of course I knew it all, so I sent a mail to the elder brotherwho asked for help on this thread and he apologized and said the parents would have preferred I gave them the contact ahead.
I learnt.

Good morning peeps, nothing is more frustrating than posting questions and not getting replies.
Can my cousin serve as my sponsor? He works for Julius Berger in Abuja.

I graduated from an Indian University this year. I did Bsc Computer science and would love to go for a PGD or PGC in Canada relating to Computer/IT that is cheap or affordable.

Thank you so much for all your responses and yes I know I should have read through the previous pages, believe me I did and did not really come across what I was looking for and in the case of the amount needed in his account, how much can be said to be enough.

Having travelled out of Nigeria before, does it give me and edge and also do I really need IELTS?

Any amount that wud cover ur course of study and living expenses wud b enof. Also avin traveled b4 is good point on ur travel history. Not all skul demands IETLS (in case of Msc or PhD). But i fink its an added advantage. With all dis paraphernalia nothing is certain abt d VO. God is d only certainty in all app. All d best.

I tink i understand y funds was tickd: official rate of canadian dollars is around 240. Using dat 29200×240= 7,008,000. funds available wasnt enough. An increase in funds will do the trick.
*my opinion sha*
exactly what I had in mind bro. The remaining balance wasn't enough at all,you get point brother.

Hello Bosses,

I just realized my passport has been seriously damaged. To cut long stories short I don't think I can use it anymore. It was the same passport I used for my Visa Application. Can I go in for a renewed one and send both when my passport is requested? Please, help needed.

Hi,

I'm not sure you will get the damaged one back from Nigerian immigration when you're issued a new one. But my question is, what sort of damage is that? Do you have any travel history/visas on the damaged passport?

If it has been dispatched to CIC the only thing you should hope to get is Visa approval, Relax n be hopeful.
