MichV my boss, I thought IELTS test is for those that are going for undergraduate studies, you should be going for MSC if am right, I stand to be collected though.
some top universities require such regardless of whether UG/PG of any kind and most universities do take exemptions for applicants from Nigeria.even in Australian system it's a must,if some of there schools don't require/request it,it is a must for their immigration requirement

for those who got admitted or have applied to memorial university of Newfoundland, do they require IELTS or any form of English test from international students in Nigeria.Though i have mailed them for some necessary concerning information.
cc:Ajayi4 et al..
MichV, no. All you need to do is get a letter of proficiency from your university here in Nigeria that the language of instruction is English. Not more than this.

Thank you. I'm going for research based LLM at Dalhousie University.
I submitted the following documents :

the necessary CIC application forms
Letter of funding from school
Bank statement from my sponsor
Admission letter from school
Letter of sponsorship from my sponsor
Introduction Letter from my sponsor 's place of work
My employment letter
Pay slips for 6 months
Letter of introduction from my place of work
Application letter

I did upfront medical, submitted my passport upfront as well but was asked to get another passport since the old one would expire next year.

God just helped me, that's the bottom line. It is not of him that willeth nor of him that runneth. All the glory to God for his faithfulness!

Ayeyemi pls when did you submit and is your funding full, and what is the amount in your sponsor's account. Pls we need the details for some of us too. Thanks

MichV, Let me hint you of the need to gather all documents relating to commendation from age one of your career. Don't leave any documents behind o. If you are the best in any subject in the university list that and let them know. Then make sure you specialise in the areas you passed most in the university. By these and with your intention to be thesis-based, you can get funding which invariably can make your TRV easy.

She should explain the source of recent deposit if it is recent and significantly larger than her previous deposit transactions. So if for instance she got the money from sale of property, she could mention it and include the receipt. Having said this, it also depends on the VO. Some VOs might not mind that it was a sudden deposit, but I'd rather play it safe and explain.
This is completely fine, and is a wise decision. It may also help if you mention this transfer (and its purpose) in your SOP or a brief "Explanation of Finances" writeup that you attach to your application; sometimes it helps to strategically repeat certain information multiple times in your application.

Okay. This is super helpful. Thank you thesoj!! Thanks too Arcayo.

Michv, sorry about that,a friend told me via phone about your refusal, have been busy for a while now i would have talked to you since,Let me quickly let you know that you need not to panic,or feel pains,i know it is not easy with the whole stress, even on my own case i have not been able to apply, but i tell you never lose hope on your dream,do your best, and ask for God's favour.
To every hopeful TrV,is either you win or the VO win.....whatever the outcome let us take it easy, and refire...Muh.Ali is one of the greatest boxers that ever graze the earth, but he still lose some fights.Bottom line, focus is the key

Guyz please i need your advise.

I am 29 years with a good job. I have 3 years work experience as an external auditor and over 6 months experience as a forensic auditor (even though i didn't study accounting in school). I graduated with 2:1 and i am an associate member of various professional bodies including ICAN and CFE (USA). I applied for and was admitted for a PGC in fraud examination and forensic accounting at Seneca college. I submitted my VISA application on May 24 (via Manual) and CIC is yet to revert.
My resumption date was Sept 6, hence i have sent series of mails to the school informing them of my situation. Based on the response i got from Seneca college, the last date for me to resume at school is September 12 and the last date to request for deferment or refund of school fees is September 19.

My Concerns
1) Whether i should defer or request for refund of school fees
2) If i defer, the next resumption date for my program is September 2017
2a) There are over a million things i can use the tuition fees to do before then.
2b) Before Sept 2017, i can decide to explore other options. If i decide to explore other options, will seneca college at that point refund my tuition fees?
3) If i request for refund, then re-apply for Sept 2017 intake or if i defer till Sept 2017 intake, is there still any hope that CIC may still grant me VISA for Sept 2017 intake using my present application or i will have to re-apply.
4) If CIC approves my VISA today, does anyone think i can still meet up with the Sept 12 deadline? i learnt that it takes over 5 days for the passport to get to VFS.

Some VO's are inhuman, It really doesn't matter if it is pgd or Masters. I am in dsame shoe as MichV. Applied with three accounts from my sponsor 19m cash flow ( Balance of 7m) , £50k and £10k plus a Treasury bill investment of 8.7m maturing this sept. My sponsor is my sister, proved our blood relationship. She gave me 3 months payslip averaging £10k+ . I applied for masters. And they still refused me based on insufficient funds.

I remember your case and I am really surprise at your visa decision, have you requested for your CGMS, please I will like you to share it with us when you do

Sorry about your delay. But looking at your application from an UNEMOTIONAL and PRACTICAL point of view, 6.1m in your sponsors account was waaaay too small. If you boost up that account to not less than 10m and apply again, you have 99.99% chance of getting your trv.

It has nothing to do with Pgd or masters admission, I got my trv at first attempt with a one year Pgd in a PRIVATE career college. The long wait is annoying but try again.

With the current exchange rate even 10m might not be sufficient fund considering the tuition fee balance, not counting accomodation and maintainance Meng from memorial university will be ideal, low tuition Master program
