Ethan45: okechukwu101: You should be able to request a tuition refund anytime before resumption date. I contacted the school that my visa application has not been processed and that I don't want to defer. They told me I can get a full refund with no admin charge since my visa application has not been processed but that I should provide them with a screenshot of my online application page. I took a screenshot of the page showing the status of the visa application as "Open". They sent me a wire transfer form, I filled it and they said it will take 4 to 6 weeks to process my full refund. Details on how to get visa processing fee refund from CIC: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=619&top=4 I contact CIC through this page: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp and I selected "Type of application/enquiry" as "Withdrawal of online application" and In "Your enquiry" I stated that I have decided to withdraw my application and that I want a refund of processing fee. They replied back saying they have added a note to my application but that the refund is at the discretion of the visa officer. Based on what I read online, if your application has not been processed, you are entitled to a refund. Please note: Your mileage may vary and I'm not encouraging anyone to lose hope, hope isn't lost. You should: - Let CIC know what they are doing wrong through this page: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/feedback-retroaction/feedback-retroaction-eng.aspx - Send a case enquiry by requesting them to urgently look into processing your application, that school is about to resume through this page: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/confirmation-eng.aspx - Wait for CIC to respond. - If you noticed that you will not be able to meet resumption date, you can defer your admission to January. My advise for anyone applying to study in Canada is to be aware that it can take months to process your application and if you are not comfortable with waiting that long, you should also have a "Plan B" in another country. Probably in U.S, Australia or U.K so as not to waste time and leave your future hanging. Never give up, good news will come your way. Wishing everyone all the best. 5 Likes |

The day I applied for the visa, the processing time was 10 weeks, it's now 15 weeks, probably they think it's easy to move to another country within 1 week and settle down. I literally paused my life for months but I canceled my Canadian visa application and requested a refund a week ago. I got my U.S. visa approved on Monday. I'm divergent in nature and I also have to protect my dignity. I will not pay processing fee just to be subjected to this biased and inhumane treatment. I have many things to say but one of the many things I find appalling is that they provide status update to many other countries within days or few weeks but keep us waiting forever as if we don't have any reasonable thing to do with our lives, yet we keep paying for this gullible treatment. If you think all they are just doing is scrutinize application, you are wrong. Their main objective is to apply what is called Social Engineering, they are applying social and human control into the approval or denial process, that's why you will see some applicant who waited 20 weeks get denied with silly reasons like "Purpose of visit". They need to treat all applicant with respect and dignity. I support those that have also contacted the Canadian immigration minister, I have also bitterly and constructively gave them a piece of my mind. Let's all speak up when we see injustice, by doing that, we are helping future applicants. Good luck everyone. 21 Likes |

Anyone saying it's how you great in the north is not reading the caption. Read the caption again and may be you will have a clear understanding of the message the tweet is trying to pass across. I'll help. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to read the body language, godfatherism is at play right there. |
Religion / Re: Christ Embassy Demands Unpaid Tithes As A Condition For Marriage by travy: 1:22pm On Jul 26, 2016 |
Anyone saying OP is lying is not well informed. I have heard of this happening in many churches including some foreign countries. There was an incident about a church in the U.S. that failed to bury an old member because she didn't pay up her tithe before she died. The church was demanding that the children of the deceased pay the owed tithe before the church can attend the burial. Fanaticism, tribalism, ethnicism, nepotism, lust for power and money are things that may eventually destroy humanity. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Ridiculous, unimpressive. Was expecting to see a properly structured pattern. I can as well carve out another part of the right rectangle and say it's also the phone. This is a classical example of "If you are looking for something, you will find it even if it's not there". The only reasonable pattern is the word "MOBILE PHONE" written on the table. |

dearie: Thank you. So if they give them a target of 10m/month and a customer they referred last year deposit 10m, they have automatically met that months' target or they need to look for a different customer entirely? 1 Like 1 Share |

dearie: Is it true that when you deposit for example let's say 100,000 dollars, the staff/marketer that referred you gets a bonus and even more bonus every time you receive deposit into your account since he/she referred you? |

Travel / Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by travy: 9:48am On Apr 30, 2016 |
I need advise. I want to apply for a Canadian visa as I need to apply for a 2 month training. I have the following question: 1. Is a visit visa what I should apply for or a study visa? 2. On the visit visa application page it say are you going on business, tourism, interview for skilled worker program, other. Should I select "tourism" or "other"? 3. It also asked about job and business. I do work for my own business but my business isn't registered because it's a sole propietorship business. Should I just check Yes for "Do you have a job" and No for the "Do you have a business" question? Please share you experience. Thank you in advance for your advise. |
