I have followed this forum from season 1 to this present season 11 and there is a question nobody bothered to ask or even provide the answer. This question is directed to all the Nigerians studying A Master or PhD in Canada and those yet to go over. I some people here posting they have full funding and scholarships to study in Canada

1. PLEASE WHAT ARE FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE FOR NIGERIAN MASTER STUDENTS?



I know PTDF, NITDA, IFP, BEA and COMMONWEALTH scholarships doesn't include Canada Universities, Please where can I see scholarship to apply to support my small savings? People like us get excellent 1st degree but no super rich family member

Hello Guys , Ive actually Gone from Page 1 to Th Last page on here and I Cud not Find Enough answers to what Im Looking for ... Im currently serving and im almost Done With it , The next thing on my Mind really is to travel out of Nigeria and the Only country on my Mind ryt now is Canada ... Well Unfortunately I had a '3rd' Back In sch Due to Unseriousness , i know i would receive alot of bashing from people here but i really dont mind , I just Need someone who can Point me thru on what to do , how to Go about it ... I need advices Guys , Pls Help !!

Hello all I am new to nairaland i was adviced to come here for advice and info.
Basically i have been offered a place in a school in ontario to study Information systems business analysis graduate certificate for Jan 2017. My issue is that what iv studied previously is not related, also i have a masters. My undergrad is chemical engineering and a masters in engineering project management, both done in the UK. My claim to change my field is that i found what i had studied was an already oversaturated market in nigeria and i had lost interest in pursuing a career in that field. I am also claiming that i was lucky to get employment in a business analyst role and even though i started as an intern, i found that i took to the field really well and have progressed to an entry level permanent position so I really want to grow and develop myself in that field and have an international perspective of the field.

Please I need to know if this reason is good enough as a reason to be switching field and doing a pgc when i have a masters in something else. I am also thinking of saying my project mgt masters can still come in handy in terms of planning, time mgt, leadership and co.

Please I need your advice and suggestions. thank you. happy to be part of the family.

In my previous application. I didnt state any current activity, i finished service may. few days before application(denied on insuficient funds). Now its being 3 months, am reapplying soon. I havent really being working. I want to write something tangible as my current activity. Any idea??

Hello Guys,
I am currently enrolled in a graduate program and have funding with assitantship. I dont think i want to continue with canada anymore for now . My application is currently with CIC (I applied from the US). Can I still request for my tuition deposits if I am granted Visa to canada and no longer wants to go there ?
Please urgent advice.

I'm sorry but all your analysis are wrong regarding this case.

1. You don't apply for leave of absent from your employer just before you even start working with them or a month or two after starting work.

The op wants to travel to Canada to work for a year to save up before starting her studies the next year, you don't do that as a foreign student.

2. You don't compare home students to foreign students, yes home students can suspend their studies and go backpacking but foreign students can't do that unless the school approves it or its part of their course.

3. Your friend has started his course and paid his school fees already before going for internship which was approved by the school but the op hasn't and does not even have the money to start with.


As a foreign student you can not travel to Canada to work for a while using financial difficulties as an excuse because during your study permit application you have provided bank statement showing millions of naira to take of your fees and expenses in Canada and that was one of the reasons why you were given a study permit.

So what happened to those millions you claimed that is available for your studies in Canada?

Just chill, if you've not done ur medicals b4 it is definitely a request for medical and if you've done medicals b4 den a decision has been made on ur application. It will reflect soon. Be patient

Sorry for responding late, I have HND in elect eng(lower) and was going for advance dip in marine eng @ MUN. My sponsors were mx cousin and my elder bro both have a combine #25mil+, I submitted all cic docs, my cousin company's tax clearance/ reg papers, my employment lette + letter of intro, my 6 months payslip(didn't submit my soa cos dnt hv much there nw). I was denied on the ffl: purpose of visit, insufficient fund, personal asset. Will order for my gcms soon.

my dad n my uncle are both my sponsors plus I submitted all request docs...d cic forms,bio page of intl passport, results,my sponsors bank details plus their last 6 months pay slips,family info with docs,my dad's land properties,nysc cert,police report admission offer,payment receipts n lots more

yea i have and i feel devastated and heart broken! They could not find a tangible reason but only to tick insufficient funds to pay TUITION fees only is saddening. My clear sincere profile of funds on this.
I paid 7789cad 1st semester tuition fee,
My blood mother was my sponsor and still active in service,Inshot a Bank officer at zenith bank and i am the only dependant in her sponsorship.
Statement of acct for the period of 6months,no money lodgement, was 13mill inflow,6.1mill closing balance,her land docs,her stocks and its certificates.
total remaining school fees + accommodation and others were = 29200cad.employment docs of hers,her payslip,her work Id,intro letter,sponsorship letter,affidavit of support were in place. This is a total heart break for me. I have already applied for my GCMS NOTE and about to terminate my PGC admission with my school.To me it's clear CIC GAMBLES with pgd(c) TRV applications.my hardworks went in vain. I just don't know how to start all over again
