Good day Guys

I just got an invitation for medicals but the documents for the medical is yet to drop in my mail box. please which centre is faster cause my admission is for sept 6 2016 and am already behind schedule. am going for PGC forensic accounting and fraud examination. I was giving TRV last year but did not travel because my wife was ill, hence I differed my admission to this year and also sort for another TRV.

Please guys how long do I have to wait for the other document as the initial mail has only a copy of Passport attached to it, or is there any other place to lookup for it.

advise please!

Congrats in advance bro. Use IOM

Can you guys just drop the "God stuff" If you like believe in God, gods, devil, science that is your own cup of tea, wherever/whatever you are destined to attain in life nothing can change it there can only be delay.

This is funny, if you don't believe in God while use the word ''whatever you are destined to be in life''' who destines? Devil or science?

Hello House
you guys are doing a wonderful Job, and i pray for all the Hopefuls that it will be granted IJN
i really need help in making some choice atleast they say two head is better than one
i have a B.Agric and graduated with a 3.00/5.00 cgpa from a Nigerian university, now i am wanting to proceed further.. what i am having issues with and need clarification on are as follow-
1) with that cgpa can i proceed to do a master directly in a Canadian university or go for an advance diploma first?
2) having graduated with a bachelor of agriculture, if masters won't be possible and i proceed with advance diploma can i go for Food Safety trying to see if there is a correlation although i specialised in the field of animal science but my degree shows Bachelor of Agriculture

i will be glad if the house can help me out with my question and i will be glad
Gracias
biko
house dont ignore me please epp me
i really need your ahelp
Good Evening sir, most Canadian schools require a Second class upper B+, or 75% average for a Masters admission

Now can you tell us your CGPA in your last two years of full time study ??
There should be a correlation with food safety and Agric, but I think you can find more Post Graduate Diploma programs on Agric or veterinary, unless you want to change to Food safety.
But as I said earlier, what's ur CGPA in your last two years of study?

Hello house, I got my TRV for a one year course (start date was last week of July) on Aug 1.
I know I wouldn't meet up with classes and all so I spoke to the school about my delayed visa and the school granted me admission for another course which is 2years and starts in January. Can I use the TRV I have to travel this December for my new 2year course?
Thanks

Good afternoon room,
I just found this forum and took time to read from part 1 to 11, but I would still like to ask a few questions:

I've gone through sites of schools in Canada and have narrowed my search to 3 school. They are:
1. University of Manitoba
2. University of Victoria
3. MUN

I graduated with a 2:1 (4.00 CGPA) this year and last two years averaged 3.9.

I would like to ask if any of the listed universities above could accept my application for MSc. Actuarial and Financial Mathematics.

I also would not mind list of universities that the forum members have gotten admission with a CGPA like mine and where admission is on a rolling basis instead of at once after deadline.

I'm open to a suggestion of other schools because I've not submitted any application yet.
Surprised to see you have read from part 1 to Part 11 shocked and you're still asking this type of questions undecided
Mbok, what were you reading grin

Anyways, if those Universities you mentioned above are offering your program, you stand a good chance of getting an admission.
But you didn't say what program/course you did in your Baccalaureate degree ??
And, admission is not only about CGPA, if you have read from part 1 to part 11, you should know that already and know other schools you could apply to...

This your I read from part 1 to part 11 Vex me.. grin

Also, at what rate?

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Gymme(m): 10:10pm On Sep 08, 2016
Yes you should be able to. But ensure you go along with the two admission letters (1 year and 2 years) and 'probably' an email correspondence with your school to that effect (change of program/new admission).
This is to play safe at POE with the immigration officer that would give you your Study Permit.

Same school another course, YES you can travel.

About duration, when you get to Canada, apply for a study permit extension, at least 90 days to the end of your TRV http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/study-extend.asp

1. They know you are a student and your '20 hours' weekly can not take care of you and your family so they don't expect you to have that much in your Canadian bank account (except you got some money transferred from your Nigerian account to your new Canadian account). The bolded could work (her bank statement will be required). If you got some money in your Nigerian account, you could include the statement too.

2. I'm not sure she needs to prove home ties because you are the foreign tie (lolz). She is coming to work full time so you can go to school full time (that is the logic behind the SOWP anyway). If you wanna apply for Visitor's Visa for your wife, then home tie (in fact, stronger home tie) is required. The truth is they 'hardly' issue Visitor's Visa to a spouse now so SOWP is the right way.

3. You can apply to extend his Visitor's Visa (that is if he is not given the same expiry date as your study permit). Or you could apply for study permit for your son when he gets here (if high school, the study permit is renewable yearly) as far as he is underage.

Toluwaase:
Please I need help.
I have posted this on another Nairaland forum, but I have not got a answers.

I am now in Canada as a student, but I want my wife and son to join me.

The following are my concern:
1. How can I prove that we have enough fund for their (my wife and son) upkeep for at least one year as stipulated by CIC. Do I have to own the money in my account in Canada or Nigeria? What if someone sends the money to my wife's account and the person backs it up with a letter that he deliberately provided the money to facilitate her travel to join her husband? Will they still request for statement of account?
2. She is self employed and her business is not registered. Her parents are in Nigeria and they own a small company but I doubt it if the company's account is well funded. Now, my question is; how can she prove that she has home ties?
3. I understand my wife can apply for SOWP, and my son can apply for visitor's visa. Is there a category of visitor's visa that can allow him to stay in Canada for more than six months?
I have read instructions on CIC website, it appears these questions are not answered with the information provided on the websites.

Is your application for US? This thread is for Canada. The procedures are different.
Nonetheless, A US Consular gives a Visa based on what you prove to them.
There is time to go through your family history etc. He/ She may not check your documents because they expect you to reel out things in the document if they are yours without flunking or fidgeting.
They are psychologists with sole aim of reading through you.
Get your documents together, dress well, look into his/her eyes when talking, don't be intimidated. You can even start the conversation.
Fill and submit the form ontime if not you wont get an interview date for December.
Get your Tax clearance, account statement, Invitation letter.
That letter isn't the guarantee Its Gods Favour so Trust Him.

Hello all I am new to nairaland i was adviced to come here for advice and info.
Basically i have been offered a place in a school in ontario to study Information systems business analysis graduate certificate for Jan 2017. My issue is that what iv studied previously is not related, also i have a masters. My undergrad is chemical engineering and a masters in engineering project management, both done in the UK. My claim to change my field is that i found what i had studied was an already oversaturated market in nigeria and i had lost interest in pursuing a career in that field. I am also claiming that i was lucky to get employment in a business analyst role and even though i started as an intern, i found that i took to the field really well and have progressed to an entry level permanent position so I really want to grow and develop myself in that field and have an international perspective of the field.

Please I need to know if this reason is good enough as a reason to be switching field and doing a pgc when i have a masters in something else. I am also thinking of saying my project mgt masters can still come in handy in terms of planning, time mgt, leadership and co.

Please I need your advice and suggestions. thank you. happy to be part of the family.

Hello guys...wonderful job u re doing out here. Pls i need some candid response to these questions:
1. Is it possible to have a school in Canada assist a student to transfer ones tuition to another school? prolly after denial and instead of remitting same back to Nigeria ,has anyone tried that before?
2. Whats the chance ( TRV issuance) of a mature student of age 34, HND holder going for an undergraduate program as a transfer student starting from 3rd year of the undergraduate program ?
Hoping the gurus in the house will help respond to this pls.
