By making that statement, he made his stance very clear. It may have not been an official stance but it was a stance nonetheless. A president doesn't say something to the world's media, especially something as politically sensitive as this, 'just for fun'. Remember that the UN vote on the independence of Palestine was conducted during GEJ's reign. I'm sure that Israel needs no further warning as to what Buhari's and thus Nigeria's official stance will be if they're given a second chance to vote.
