You're mistaking Abraham for Moses sir.

Christ is the seed of Abraham.

You don't have a covenant with God.

God already thought of Jesus right in the garden when He told the serpent that the seed of the woman will bruise it's head....this was long before Abraham came to the scene.

Thanks
Are u saying there is no new convenan in Christ Jesus?

To bring us into fellowship with the Father. Salvation was a means to an end, not Jesus main purpose for coming

If it did, there was then no point for Jesus coming!

God entered a covenant with Abraham... Not with you or any Christian, you, rather are a child of that covenant since you're Christ's, that now makes you Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Galatians 3 v29 kjv
29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

What promise?

Jesus' blood was shed for the new testament, the new covenant, to replace Moses'. It doesn't imply in any way that you entered a covenant with God.

Like I asked, if you're in a covenant with God, tell me when, how and what's the seal of the covenant. Thanks
Dont mix them up, Christ is d offspring of abraham and all in Christ by faith are also now offspring of abraham and heir of d promise also we are in christ so we are part and parcel of d new covenant. in Christ we have a covenant wit God.

Not necessarily... What covenant did God had with Adam, Enoch etc? undecided

Is it that you don't know what necessitated the covenant or what?

Jesus came to establish that covenant,

Jesus was the reason for the Abrahamic covenant... The Moses law was instituted because of sin, till Jesus came. When he came, he ushered us into the Abrahamic covenant, with His blood..

That's why it's called the new covenant. It replaced that of Moses, and it was not a 'new covenant' to the Gentiles but a 'new one' to the Jews, so that we all can be a partaker of the promises, by faith in Christ Jesus.
Read Galatians 3 from 16 till end.

as man he was d new adam and so could initiate a covenant for humanity,

Initiate a covenant with who? GOD?

You mean God had a covenant with Him in heaven or earth? If it's the latter... Any remote Bible reference? undecided

he was also d victim of sacrifice and his blood seal d covenant.

Jesus was NOT a victim.

it was between man and God. do u reject any of d above?

Covenant between man and God? Hahahahahha

Bible reference please.

Read Galatians 3 19
Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

The Moses law was there to stop sinning... TILL JESUS came, TO WHOM THE PROMISE WAS MADE.

Jesus simply was the fulfillment of that Abraham's covenant with God. Meaning, as verse 29 says, if you are Christ, then you are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise.

You were a result of that covenant. You don't have any covenant with God.

Really? undecided

A covenant is an agreement that involves oath taking. Abraham is the person that with God, made a covenant. He was NOT the covenant.

The covenant was for his inheritance of Canaanites, which is why Michael descended on Jericho and all related Canaan cities with a blood bath. So Abraham's covenant is spent. Especially with Christ coming. He brokered a new covenant. New promises for the saints, and an inheritance of the principalities of all the earth. It's also open to more people, including rebellious ones like you. wink It's better, will be bloody very soon. grin

I hope I was clear enough.

Christ is Himself the seed of Abraham and so are we who are His. The Abrahamic covenant is not spent... Its promises are very much obtainable today.

Galatians 3:16 -Now the promises were made to Abraham and to his offspring. It does not say, And to offsprings, referring to many, but referring to one, And to your offspring, who is Christ.

Galatians 3:29 -And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise.

Of course...

Romans 4:16 That is why it depends on faith, in order that the promise may rest on grace and be guaranteed to all his offspring—not only to the adherent of the law but also to the one who shares the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all,

Remember the New Testament's did not come into force until after the death and resurrection od Jesus Christ.
Jesus actually lived and operated according to the old testament while on earth.

See how he ministered to a certain Jew, a daughter of Abraham.

St. Luke 13:10-16 Now he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath.
And there was a woman who had had a disabling spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not fully straighten herself.
When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said to her, Woman, you are freed from your disability.
And he laid his hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and she glorified God.
But the ruler of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the people, There are six days in which work ought to be done. Come on those days and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day.
Then the Lord answered him, You hypocrites! Does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the manger and lead it away to water it?
And ought not this woman, a daughter of Abraham whom Satan bound for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath day?

Let me help you arrange your thoughts... so I can get your view better. .

The Abrahamic covenant applied to all his offspring (according to the above↑↑) which are -

A) Adherents of the law(Jacobs children / Israel)
B) sharers of the faith(Christians)

Did it apply to the children of Esau? He was Abrahams first grandson. If so, how? If not, why not, considering that Abraham's covenant is not spent, in your words? undecided

Secondly, if influence of the Abrahamic covenant is gotten by sharing in ABRAHAM'S faith, as you say, can faith in God in the Absence of Christ still yield the benefits of the covenant ? undecided

My words? No Sir! I did not write the scriptures.

How do you intend to use Esau's case to argue that the Abrahamic covenant is spent? Very lame argument indeed. Esau missed out on the birthright because he was profane. Anything that is not of faith is sin.

Hebrews 12:16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.

Just for the records...
Profane; Meaning:
Treating sacred things with contempt, disrespect, irreverence, or undue familiarity; impious.

There is no faith in God without faith in His Word and the entire Scriptures, from Genesis to Revelation, is centred around Christ.

What do you mean? undecided That Esau was somehow part of the covenant and his profanity cut him off?

There is no faith in God without faith in His Word and the entire Scriptures, from Genesis to Revelation, is centred around Christ.

Did that word need to become flesh? Do we need the Christ that became flesh and walked among men for 33 years and died? Was all that necessary? in your understanding of course, angry

Why not focus on the issue at hand, we are discussing the relevance of the Abrahamic covenant today and it isn't a complex topic at all, unless you would like to make it appear so.

You will not tell how Esau helps your argument for "a spent Abrahamic covenant" yet you want me to lecture you some more on the scriptures?

After you Sir!

Do you even know what the birthright was?

Yes The Word needed to become flesh and offer His life not just to save us from our sins and the dominion of Satan but to bring us into fellowship and oneness with the father.

With the resurrection came eternal life for all men and the New Creation. Without the resurrection man will still be a slave of Sin death and Satan.

The sacrifice of Jesus wasn't just for those after Him but even for the prophets and saints of old. They all hoped for His salvation and for this day (the day of the church) and prophesied about it.

Hebrews 11:39- 40 - And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

Even Abraham when he got to Canaan realized that the city God spoke about was more than physical.
And Jesus brought us into that city: Zion, the city of God.

Hebrews 11:8- 10 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

Hebrews 12:18 For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,

Hebrews 12:22-24 .But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant...

We’re Children Of The Covenant

Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed (Acts 3:25).

Books have been written about our covenant with God, but really, we’re not in covenant with God. The danger of this misleading teaching is that while praying and trying to get results on the basis that you’re in covenant with God, you’re merely trying to get what you already have. And you’ll never get it that way. There’re things people pray and struggle for that shouldn’t be, if only they knew who they are, and their positioning in Christ. We’re children of the covenant!

TRUST IN WHAT GOD SAYS- NOT WHAT OTHER MEN THEORIZE GOD SHOULD HAVE SAID.

PETER tried to ban Gentile Christians from reading The Bible- and you are going to trust HIM?

. ACTS 15:1-31.

AND certain men
which came down from Judaea
taught the Brethren, and said,

"EXCEPT YE BE CIRCUMCISED
AFTER THE MANNER OF MOSES,
YE CANNOT BE SAVED."

2. When therefore Paul and Barnabas
had no small dissension
and disputation with them,
they determined that Paul and Barnabas,
and certain other of them,
should go up to Jerusalem
unto the Apostles and Elders
about this question.
3. And being brought on their way by the Church,
they passed through Phenice and Samaria,
declaring the Conversion of the Gentiles:
and they caused great Joy unto all the Brethren.
4. And when they were come to Jerusalem,
they were received of the Church,
and of the Apostles and Elders,
and they declared all things
that God had done with them.
5. But there rose up certain
of the Sect of the Pharisees
which believed, saying,

"THAT IT WAS NEEDFUL
TO CIRCUMCISE THEM,
AND TO COMMAND THEM
TO KEEP THE LAW OF MOSES."

6. And the Apostles and Elders came together
for to consider of this matter.
7. And when there had been much disputing,
Peter rose up, and said unto them,
“Men and Brethren,
ye know how that a good while ago
God made choice among us,
that the Gentiles by my mouth
should hear The Word of The Gospel,
and Believe.
8. “And God,
Which knoweth the hearts,
bare them witness,
giving them the Holy Ghost,
even as he did unto us;
9. “And put no difference
between us and them,
purifying their hearts by Faith.
10. "Now therefore why tempt ye God,
to put a yoke
upon the neck of the Disciples,
which neither our fathers
nor we were able to bear?"
11. “But we believe that through
The Grace of the LORD Jesus Christ
we shall be Saved, even as they.”
12. Then all the multitude kept silence,
and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul,
declaring what Miracles and Wonders
God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.
13. And after they had held their peace,
James answered, saying,
"Men and Brethren, hearken unto me:
14. "Simeon hath declared how God
at the first did visit the Gentiles,
to take out of them a people for His Name.
15." And to this agree
the Words of the Prophets;
as it is written,

16. 'AFTER THIS I WILL RETURN,
AND WILL BUILD AGAIN
THE TABERNACLE OF DAVID,
WHICH IS FALLEN DOWN;
AND I WILL BUILD AGAIN
THE RUINS THEREOF,
AND I WILL SET IT UP:
17. 'THAT THE RESIDUE OF MEN
MIGHT SEEK AFTER THE LORD,
AND ALL THE GENTILES,
UPON WHOM MY NAME IS CALLED,
SAITH THE LORD,
WHO DOETH ALL THESE THINGS.'

18. "Known unto God are all His Works
from The Beginning of the World.
19. “Wherefore my sentence is,

'THAT WE TROUBLE NOT THEM,
WHICH FROM AMONG THE GENTILES
ARE TURNED TO GOD:
20. 'BUT THAT WE WRITE UNTO THEM,
THAT THEY ABSTAIN FROM POLLUTIONS OF IDOLS,
AND FROM FORNICATION,
AND FROM THINGS STRANGLED,
AND FROM BLOOD.'

21. “For Moses of Old Time
hath in every city them that preach him,
being read in the synagogues every Sabbath day.”

22. Then pleased it the Apostles and Elders
with the whole Church,
to send chosen men
of their own company
to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas;
namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas and Silas,
chief men among the Brethren:
23. And they wrote Letters
by them after this manner;

“THE APOSTLES AND ELDERS
AND BRETHREN
SEND GREETING
UNTO THE BRETHREN
WHICH ARE OF THE GENTILES
IN ANTIOCH AND SYRIA AND CILICIA.
24. “FORASMUCH AS WE HAVE HEARD,
THAT CERTAIN WHICH WENT OUT FROM US
HAVE TROUBLED YOU WITH WORDS,
SUBVERTING YOUR SOULS,
SAYING,

“YE MUST BE CIRCUMCISED,
AND KEEP THE LAW:”

TO WHOM WE GAVE
NO SUCH COMMANDMENT:
25. “IT SEEMED GOOD UNTO US,
BEING ASSEMBLED WITH ONE ACCORD,
TO SEND CHOSEN MEN UNTO YOU
WITH OUR BELOVED BARNABAS AND PAUL,
26. “MEN THAT HAVE HAZARDED
THEIR LIVES FOR THE NAME
OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.
27. “WE HAVE SENT THEREFORE
JUDAS AND SILAS,
WHO SHALL ALSO TELL YOU
THE SAME THINGS BY MOUTH.
28. “FOR IT SEEMED GOOD
TO THE HOLY GHOST,
AND TO US,
TO LAY UPON YOU
NO GREATER BURDEN
THAN THESE NECESSARY THINGS;
29. “THAT YE ABSTAIN FROM MEATS
OFFERED TO IDOLS,
AND FROM BLOOD,
AND FROM THINGS STRANGLED,
AND FROM FORNICATION:
FROM WHICH IF YE KEEP YOURSELVES,
YE SHALL DO WELL.
FARE YE WELL.”

30. So when they were dismissed,
they came to Antioch:
and when they had gathered
the multitude together,
they delivered the Epistle:
31. Which when they had read,
they rejoiced for the Consolation.

PETER AND PAUL WERE NOT RELIABLE.

PETER wanted to dispose of his Competition.

PAUL just wanted to dispose of EVERYBODY.

. GALATIANS 5:1-4.

STAND fast therefore in the Liberty
wherewith Christ hath made us Free,
and be not entangled again
with the Yoke of Bondage.
2. Behold, I Paul say unto you,

“THAT IF YE BE CIRCUMCISED,
CHRIST SHALL PROFIT YOU NOTHING.”

3. For I testify again to every man that is Circumcised,

“THAT HE IS A DEBTOR
TO DO THE WHOLE LAW.”

4. Christ is become of no effect unto you,
whosoever of you are Justified by The Law;

13. And after they had held their peace,
James answered, saying,
"Men and Brethren, hearken unto me:
14. "Simeon hath declared how God
at the first did visit the Gentiles,
to take out of them a people for His Name.
15." And to this agree
the Words of the Prophets;
as it is written,

16. 'AFTER THIS I WILL RETURN,
AND WILL BUILD AGAIN
THE TABERNACLE OF DAVID,
WHICH IS FALLEN DOWN;
AND I WILL BUILD AGAIN
THE RUINS THEREOF,
AND I WILL SET IT UP:
17. 'THAT THE RESIDUE OF MEN
MIGHT SEEK AFTER THE LORD,
AND ALL THE GENTILES,
UPON WHOM MY NAME IS CALLED,
SAITH THE LORD,
WHO DOETH ALL THESE THINGS.'

18. "Known unto God are all His Works
from The Beginning of the World.
19. “Wherefore my sentence is,

'THAT WE TROUBLE NOT THEM,
WHICH FROM AMONG THE GENTILES
ARE TURNED TO GOD:
20. 'BUT THAT WE WRITE UNTO THEM,
THAT THEY ABSTAIN FROM POLLUTIONS OF IDOLS,
AND FROM FORNICATION,
AND FROM THINGS STRANGLED,
AND FROM BLOOD.'

21. “For Moses of Old Time
hath in every city them that preach him,
being read in the synagogues every Sabbath day.”

22. Then pleased it the Apostles and Elders
with the whole Church,
to send chosen men
of their own company
to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas;
namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas and Silas,
chief men among the Brethren:
23. And they wrote Letters
by them after this manner;

“THE APOSTLES AND ELDERS
AND BRETHREN
SEND GREETING
UNTO THE BRETHREN
WHICH ARE OF THE GENTILES
IN ANTIOCH AND SYRIA AND CILICIA.
24. “FORASMUCH AS WE HAVE HEARD,
THAT CERTAIN WHICH WENT OUT FROM US
HAVE TROUBLED YOU WITH WORDS,
SUBVERTING YOUR SOULS,
SAYING,

“YE MUST BE CIRCUMCISED,
AND KEEP THE LAW:”

TO WHOM WE GAVE
NO SUCH COMMANDMENT:
25. “IT SEEMED GOOD UNTO US,
BEING ASSEMBLED WITH ONE ACCORD,
TO SEND CHOSEN MEN UNTO YOU
WITH OUR BELOVED BARNABAS AND PAUL,
26. “MEN THAT HAVE HAZARDED
THEIR LIVES FOR THE NAME
OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.
27. “WE HAVE SENT THEREFORE
JUDAS AND SILAS,
WHO SHALL ALSO TELL YOU
THE SAME THINGS BY MOUTH.
28. “FOR IT SEEMED GOOD
TO THE HOLY GHOST,
AND TO US,
TO LAY UPON YOU
NO GREATER BURDEN
THAN THESE NECESSARY THINGS;
29. “THAT YE ABSTAIN FROM MEATS
OFFERED TO IDOLS,
AND FROM BLOOD,
AND FROM THINGS STRANGLED,
AND FROM FORNICATION:
FROM WHICH IF YE KEEP YOURSELVES,
YE SHALL DO WELL.
FARE YE WELL.”

30. So when they were dismissed,
they came to Antioch:
and when they had gathered
the multitude together,
they delivered the Epistle:
31. Which when they had read,
they rejoiced for the Consolation.

PETER AND PAUL WERE NOT RELIABLE.

PETER wanted to dispose of his Competition.

PAUL just wanted to dispose of EVERYBODY.

. GALATIANS 5:1-4.

STAND fast therefore in the Liberty
wherewith Christ hath made us Free,
and be not entangled again
with the Yoke of Bondage.
2. Behold, I Paul say unto you,

“THAT IF YE BE CIRCUMCISED,
CHRIST SHALL PROFIT YOU NOTHING.”

3. For I testify again to every man that is Circumcised,

“THAT HE IS A DEBTOR
TO DO THE WHOLE LAW.”

4. Christ is become of no effect unto you,
whosoever of you are Justified by The Law;
ye are fallen from Grace.

And your point really is??

Fixed. cool
sorry but u contradict d scriptures. there is a new covenant in christ and we are participator in that new covenant.

u have been taught traditions of men or rather traditions of pastor chris

Matthew 26:28
New International Version
This is my blood of the covenant, which is
poured out for many for the forgiveness of
sins.
New Living Translation
for this is my blood, which confirms the
covenant between God and his people. It is poured out as a sacrifice to forgive the sins of many.
English Standard Version
for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

a covenant in biblical terms is a contract, a bond, usually between God and man. when Jesus tell us that there is now a new covenant by his blood, he is saying we now have a contract betwen God and us signed, ractified by his blood.

d fact dat GOD made a new covenant means man, i in particular am a participator by faith. dat is wat d bibo say.

BUT i have a covenant with GOD ractified by the blood of Jesus, dat is what the scripture teaches. Jesus is the mediator of that covenant.

Jesus ractified the covenant both on earth and in heaven, on earth he was spilling his blood, in heaven he was offering the covenantal sacrifice.

It seem you dont understand the word i used so let me change it for u to understand.

Jesus SEALED the new covenant when he died for us, physically he was dying on calvary, mystically he took his blood into d eternal sanctuary in heaven.
Jesus sealed the covenant both on earth and in heaven, on earth he was spilling his blood, in heaven he was offering the covenantal
sacrifice to his father.

i dont need to chose one.
HEB 9 tells the story, read it.

And lastly d correct question is ''when did Jesus mediate a new covenant with God?''

d covenant is not for Jesus, it is for us. Jesus mediates a covenant between God and man

heb9:15 Therefore he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal
inheritance...

SHALOM!

We are admitted into the Abrahamic Covenant through YAHSHUA, as HIS Property.

. LUKE 22:14-20.

14. And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve Apostles with him.
15. And he said unto them,
"With desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.
16. "For I say unto you,
'I will not any more eat thereof,
until it be fulfilled
in The Kingdom of God.' "
17. Then he took the cup after supper, saying,
"Take this, and divide (it) among yourselves:
18. "For I say unto you,
'I will not drink of the fruit of the vine,
until The Kingdom of God shall come."
19. And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake (it), and gave unto them, saying,
"This is my Body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me."
20. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying,
"This cup (is) The New Testament in my Blood, which is shed for you."

I guess this is what you say when your doctrine of men is exposed.

for the benefit of those reading, Jesus mediates a new covenant according to heb 9, a covenant is a bond, a contract between two parties, so Jesus is the mediator between two parties, and the bible tells us who the parties are
1 Timothy 2:5 (KJV) 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; the parties are God and man. that means every human being in Christ Jesus have a covenant with God. that is what the scriptures say. so gomb which do you prefer the word of God or the word of pastor chris?
