What are you doing for them to forget Biafra? Remember the words of wole soyinka, you cannot kill an idea when conceived, you can kill the carriers of that idea but cannot kill the idea. Again he said, you don't say that the unity of this country is not negotiable nor that it cannot happen under your watch, don't say what you cannot do. This is a person that is much more older than you in every category.

Buhari is right. Biafra is not in any Nigerian Lexicon. The Igbos should join other States to amend The 1999 Constitution to grant FULL AUTONOMY that will empower the 36 States. Buhari is now encouraging Local Governments to seek Independence, that is, autonomy from State Governments and the LGs seem to be excited by this preposterous suggestion. Has anyone seen what I'm talking about? At best, and in the Present Presidential system, Our Local Governments can be arranged under Separate Commissions that will be headed, supervised and controlled by Traditional Rulers. The Traditional Rulers will in turn cooperate with autonomous state Governments for sourcing Funds and developing their individual LGs and their State together. The Commissions will be quasi autonomous commissions under autonomous state Governments. So help us God!!!!

What an arrogant display of willful ignorance and sophisticated idiocy. In 2016, we're talking about realtime video evidence which on Youtube and you are talking about transcript. I would take an unedited speech captured live on video vs a transcribed speech. You are just being obtuse!!
If there is anything that is transparent about GMB, it's his knack for expressing his strongly-held views unintelligently without wit or context. He lacks EQ-emotional intelligence as a leader, which makes it easier for folks to visualize his mindset.
GMB is a man with no PC, emotional, intelligent and contextual filters. He says it how he feels!
BTW, I watched it live and it was agonizingly dreadful that a president had never heard of the the word - inclusive-
Like president like follower

Try looking into the mirror and you may likely see the reflection of that willfully sophisticated ignorant person you are talking about; who is seemingly not only intellectually deficient but also poor in memory or simply, blatantly dishonest in argument.

Remember, you spoke of pictures from Google not video evidence sourced from YouTube - or have you forgotten?- in case you have; let me remind you.

'I have no time to upload pictures for folks like who are wilfully ignorant. Google is ur best resource'.- your words not mine.

Now tell me, since when are pictures the same as video and why you think the latter is more superior to the transcribed version of speech?
I was initially even willing to be generous and excuse your obvious gaff on the basis that one could remotely argue that videos are essentially the same as a series of pictures taken in quick succession separated by short time intervals; until you hit the nail into your own head by carelessly referring to real time evidence.

As I have already mentioned, I am not ready to engage you in an argument based on conjectures and innuendos or where the goal post in such argument can suddenly be dishonestly switched at will; but only on facts where the evidence is to be placed out there under public scrutiny for re-examination.

I specifically proposed the transcript version of the president's speech (reproduced vertum by vertum) because it is the most practical medium for this purpose - and yes indeed, this may partly explain, even in 2016 and possibly for many generations to come, why courts worldwide (dealing with simple misdemeanors to serious cases bordering on life and death) still prefer (where possible) transcript records over and above other media of record keeping.

Pls, if you are still serious, then take up my challenge: reproduce Buhari's speech, let us publicly re-examine it here and judge whether he was correctly quoted or wrongly being quoted out of context.

You are just being obtuse. I can stand folks that are obliviously ignorant, but have no nano respect for willfully ignorant folks like you.

The narrative that Buhari spoke in context and was taken out context is a sheer fallacy. He's not known to be a masterful speaker who uses words to project different meanings. He's not your average Naija politicians who choose word carefully.
The moderator of the Q&A- ( this wasn't in a speech format) had to explain the meaning of inclusive as posed by Dr Pauline Baker, who asked how GMB he would run an inclusive government and development in particular reference to ND.

Then, GMB didn't fully grasp the question and what inclusive meant, so the moderator had to break it down for him to understand. He had to confer with the moderator and made the following remarks " I hope you have copies of the elections results, 97% that gave me their votes CANNOT in all HONESTY be treated equally with regions that gave me 5%)

Now, Dr Baker, is a Nigerian expert, has lived and worked in Naija, so she knowingly brought up that issue and GMB clearly spelt out how he would pursue governance in relation to ND issues and inclusive goverment.

GMB makes it easy for his followers and regular folks to understand, but makes it very difficult for his PR to manage after he's done the damage.

If anyone is being obtuse and intellectually lazy, it's you; since even after explaining to you that Buhari was being misquoted out of context based on a small portion of his speech, you went right ahead to confirm my position by uploading a Youtube link to exactly such an edited shorter version.
That is also exactly why I earlier said that you and your ilk are dishonest co-travellers, prone towards twisting facts to suit your nefarious agenda.
You must have thought that most of us are gullible, without independent minds and independent access to the internet and therefore likely to blindly buy into your manufactured version of the truth without question - well, how so wrong, you've miscalculated yet again.

For those following this argument, kindly watch the fuller video version of the video here as well as the transcripts, and notice the intended deception in the shorter edited version as being propagated by the likes of adconline and his co-travellers in order to put the president in bad light.

CULLED ARTICLE INCLUDING TRANSCRIPT AND ARGUMENT ON THE MATTER:

In what appears a deliberate attempt paint and different picture and paint President Buhari in bad light, a section of the online media yesterday went to press stating that the president said he wont give attention to the Niger Delta region because the people there didn’t vote for him.

The statement Buhari was purported to have made was cut in half with the first theory part presented to tarnish the president’s image and the remaining cut off. Buhari was answering a question on Amnesty, Bunkering and Inclusive governance for the Niger Delta. He addressed the fears of his government not being inclusive with the purposely misquoted piece.

Buhari had said that it was fair to treat those who gave him 97% better than those who gave him 5% and that that was politics, but however he can never do that as it is against the constitution and it will violate his promise of being committed to no one or owned by no one, and committed to all and owned by all.

Listen:

Below is the text of the president’s statement in question. The ones in bold is the part that was deliberately left out.

“I hope you have a copy of the election results. Literally constituencies, for example, that gave me 97 per cent, cannot in all honesty be treated, on some issues, [the same way as] some constituencies that gave me five per cent. I think these are political realities. While certainly there will be justice for everybody; everybody will enjoy their constitutional rights, where the party in constituencies that by either sheer hard work made sure they got their people [to vote] and ensure their votes count, they must feel that the government has appreciated the effort they put in putting the government in place. I think this is really fair. By the constitution, no state can be excluded from government, so there is no way even if I were to show gratitude to those constituencies that voted heavily for me against those that didn’t even vote for me, they have the protection of the government. And I have made an undertaking that I belong to everybody, I belong to no body. If I come clearly and marginalize a certain group because they didn’t vote for me then I have already contradicted myself and I am sure people will be quick to pick that against me.”

Buhari was dead honest. It is fair to treat those who fought and voted for you better than those who fought for the corrupt incumbent and voted against you. That’s human, fair, political and expected. He however said luckily for them and as he has promised, the constitution does not allow that, which is the beauty of democracy and unlike his predecessors who punished opposition states, he will treat everyone equally as he has promised in his inauguration speech.

God will not forgive all those haters who deliberately slander the President by twisting his words thereby distorting facts in other to elicit negative reaction against the President.
This strategy clearly will not work given that the pple who actually voted Buhari re not foools and they see beyond their noses.

Gotta love how GMB zombie followers love conspiracy theories! US Institute Peace Center where Buhari made that speech posted that video. The referenced video links you posted are not working- video unavailable.
A blog that is trying to "classify" what GMB had intended to say is a weak attempt to change the facts as enunciated by GMB.
Now, do you have an idea what is credible source? USIP is one while your wannabe bloggers are not. How could USIP edit a video in order to misrepresent his statement?
You're fighting credibly-sourced facts with emotions and no facts.
You have to show unedited video from USIP to prove your case.
You have to show transcribed speech obtained from USIP.
It smacks of intelectual dishonesty when you're trying to rebut a credible evidence from a credible organisation with "misinformation" from roadside bloggers. I know folks like u think that everybody is out to get your hero, GMB, but USIP ( if u had heard about it prior to this conversation) doesn't fit the profile of a wailer. It's a super-credible organisation unlike other sites u listed. Let's compare apple vs apple.

Then you ought to throw away the cheap phone you are using and change your ISP because all the links I provided are still working; unless of course you are a terrible liar still in denial even in the face of irrefutable facts before him - a common trait among your ilk.

Lets even assume you cannot access the blog through the provided link, why then can't you play the two videos provided (each along with its youtube link) - don't say they too are not working or that you hard of hearing to hear the full speech for yourself.

There is a famous adage in law which says: 'he who demands for equity must come with clean hands' meaning you cannot have your cake and eat.

You therefore got to be silly to presume that it is ok for you source evidence from youtube and at the same time reject another from the same source - how hypocritical.

Don't forget your post is still out there along with the youtube video link you uploaded as evidence; it is there for all to see and judge your woeful attempt to propagate the ongoing malicious propaganda against the president as well as your foolish attempt to cover up your own shameful shortcoming.

You attempt at justifying a blogger's explanation of GMB's speech is subpar. You should have known that transcripts are provided by USIP not your roadside hungry blogger.
Provide a transcript or unedited video since the one posted is " edited" according to you. A comparison is based on 2 two known/tested conditions.
I have told you before, GMB is not known for intellectual and contextual meanings. He's gaffe-prone,and doesn't care about his utterances. Sycophantic followers like you are always left to do " let me explain" damage control.
Laundry list of his blunders
He went to Germany and didn't know the name of his host, Angela Merkel
He did not know the difference president and chancellor of Germany, even though President Joachim Gauck as the ceremonial head, had received him and Angela Merkel chaired and hosted the G8 summit.
He didn't know that west Germany stopped existing in 1990s
He submitted "ministerail"list instead of "ministerial" list
He copied 2016 budget from 2015 budget, but was still riddled with errors.
He took back the 2016 budget through the back door ( missing budget"wink
During the 97% vs 5%, a more articulate leader would have used 100% agregate point. 97% vs 5% = 102%, why not 97% vs 3%??
His supervised the padded 2016 budget.
He plagiarized part of his 2015 inauguration speech ( I belong to nobody part)
His aides stole the original of "change starts with me" from their original creators
He plagiarized his "change starts with me" speech by coping Obama's speech at Grant Park, Chicago, word for word.
GMB is a gift that keeps giving and a bad student cos he still crews it up when he has been served with expo.
BTW, At USIP, during the 97% vs 5% speech, he admitted that he could not trust his memory. No wonder his paid sycophants shielded him from debates, but once he travels outside the country, he loses such protection from his sycophantic aides and the world gets to see the best of him. He's antithesis of contextual meaning!!

You are really incorrigible and very silly to a fault, clearly unable to stay focused on the relevant issues of an argument; while going round and round in circles like a headless chicken without adding anymore substance to your position.

Try sticking to the fundamental issue at hand: that Buhari was being misquoted out of context by the propagation of a shorter edited version of his speech.

You argued that this wasn't true and went on to prove me right by providing a link to the very shorter Youtube version :

While on the other hand, I was able to produce both link and the actual Youtube full version of the speech along with the culled transcripts from a blog (link also provided) - see my previous post.

Your present position is quite untenable and naive: that the full version is not authentic because it did not directly come from organisers of the event (USIP) while hypocritically holding on to yours; even though both evidences were sourced from the very same Youtube source - forgetting that the president made his speech at a public event covered by the world media and that since then records of the proceedings have been made freely available to anyone with access to the internet and search engines such as google, Youtube etc.

Your propaganda has failed; repeating a lie over and over again does not necessarily make it true; you can continue to wallow in your own ignorance but the rest of are now more the wiser and will not be fooled again.
The evidence is still out there and it is irrefutable; anyone can cross check it: Buhari clarified his position by concluding unambiguously by stating that: "I have made an undertaking that I belong to everybody, I belong to no body. If I come clearly and marginalise a certain group because they didn’t vote for me then I have already contradicted myself and I am sure people will be quick to pick that against me.”
Prove to me that he didn't conclude with those words - if you don't like it, then go and jump into the nearest lagoon - stop lying.

As for the other irrelevant drivel you wrote, well you should know by now where to stuff it - I have no time for nonsense angry.
