For room and board; put the estimate of your living expenses for a year, you can find an approximate for the province you're going to on cic website, For available funds; its the total amount of money you will have access to for the duration of your studies. NB: Funds available for stay should be greater than the combination of your tuition, room and board, and other expenses. Good luck Ed321: 4 Likes |

Good day all. Hope the weekend was restful? Please I just humbly need a lil clarification. I submitted my application, paper route on the 30th August. Decided to link it online today, 18th Sept. And I noticed on the online platform, after successfully linking, it shows today 18th September as date submitted. Please, does it mean I have to start counting from today or it's still from the 30th August I submitted? Many Thanks! |

adesbaba:After your 1 year program, u will be issued a 1 year work permit.if u have plans of going back to school after the 1 year program then make sure u have your admission ready before u complete it because if u decide to apply for the work permit for 1 year and then decide to go back to school after the expiration you won't be given another work permit.the postgraduate work permit is a one in a lifetime thing according to cic.once u apply for it..u can't anymore it doesn't matter if u go back to school again for 4 or 5 years.its only issued once. 3 Likes |

Chinuaj: I think u right...it appears most people are focused on the closing balance that is 20m..30m..meanwhile, I believe the embassy has a different view of account.it more about inflow and outflow. I know of someone that paid 2k cdn dollars(part of his tuition)once he got his admission. He applied for visa..the closing balance was like 3.5m..but the account shows good inflow of cash flow over the months..that was printed.there a time it was 12m and there were times millions left the account too and came in too.this individual got his visa.someone can still have a healthy balance though but inflow and outflow matters.not just 20m is just dere for 3 to 5 months nothing left and nothing came in.That my own opinion of how I see it though. 2 Likes |

I tell u. all u need do its to write d English exam ( IELTS ) and pas with 7 points at least. get a school with it. dia masters Feb 2017 intake its ongoing now. its easier to get admission dia dan in Canada. and pay ur tuition at least half or a bit more Dan. I hav a family friend dat would have done my...bt I was so blinded with Canada and I dint take my English exam serious becos i had all my mind in Canada. now d guy who happens to be a priest in Australia has taken 3 of his siblings to Australia and is doing for his cousin presently. wen he spoke with my sis he said his friends hav been paying money into his account since 4 months to enable him do a sponsor for d guy n also pay part of d tuition. d guy has passed the English exam which is valid for 2 yrs. My people ....me, I can't spend a dim for Canada waka again.... Its better I start organizing myself for a good alternative. its purely a personal decision . dis Canada game of luck no d work for evey body...its full of uncertainties n d treat Nigerians as if we ar lesser humans and d ar small gods. am full of regrets now becos I have lost dis yr. and d kind money dat is needed no dey around me now. my bro @ michV, Canada looks like d most difficult wen it comes to study permit packaging n processes.... if u check u would notice dat most visa processing agents dont rush to do Canada student visa, some of dem even lack d information n knowledge we gain by being here in Nairaland . most of us here ar well informed Dan diz ppl parading as agents. once u ar exposed to Canada pattern, most countries would be easy for u. d tin its dat Canada seems to be cheaper, English speaking as in no English exam required and with more opportunities ...dat is y we ar tripping oooo. but dat dia TRV d be like dem d give u ticket to HEAVEN. very shroud set of people. 2 Likes |

cayordey007:I won't suggest the same.Besides, how are you sure they don't have record of what he disclosed in the past application and then he doesn't tell the truth the second time applying and just a name search, passport search etc and it all pops up,u might end up making the visa officer's decision easy at the end of d day.Canadians are honest therefore they expect the same. |

sammymexi:U on point . Australia seems to be much easier to get.my family friend cldnt even secure admission for MSc Canada wt his 2.1.so he never applied for visa wt canada so I don't know what his experience would have bn...but then in couple of months he got admission to Australia and then said he got his visa too..was like magic when he informed me...based on our conversation,it appears it a good country too.he seem to be enjoying it...overall, we concluded it tougher to stay permanently in Australia after studies based on the way he explained it to me in comparison to canadian options that I know of...now that is outside of the hustling option sha o (which is getting married ).it tough in canada too not like they hand permanent residence like gala but maybe not as tough as Australia. So do your research well don't just make a move just coz u want quick visa to leave. ..what will be the end game afterwards? Reminds me of peeps that went to uk back then..visa was 2 weeks or less at most..cdn was too stressful then too guess what most are in Canada after schooling in uk.i know a few.some cldnt afford another huge tuition anymore therfore they stayed in Nigeria. |

Hello guys. please i need useful info as regards studying in canada. I wish to study at memorial university or UNBC. I have a Gre score of 296 (AWA-4), and the required score for MUN is 302, UNBC doesnt need Gre, I have a second class upper division (3.75/5). Please can anyone help me know my chances of securing admissions at these two universities. I also have a research proposal and would want to study Msc in Business administration (theses route). I heard securing admission at MUN is quite tough, i feel i can learn more abt both schools on here. And also, does my credentials qualify me for University of saskatchewan Msc Finance (min Gre score 300). I feel desperate as i dont wanna lose out since applications fr nxt year entry has started. Thanks so much |

Hi everyone @ michv, how na nna? Thank God someone already responded to your subtle accusations of some of us not coming back to comment here. Since you like typing in Igbo, i will do mine in my language " waa wa alright" when readings and researches hammer you front right and centre like me and if your opinion for class no " garm" there flies away your 50% class participation especially when there are just 4 of us. I have made friends with my graduate students colleagues guess what? The indian guy in my class said he declared zero balance, showed me his statement of account that he used in applying and i almost fainted. The guy even came to Manitoba with less than 500CAD. I am just using one kain eye to watch CIC as they are misbehaving. Most schools also missed Nigerians though they might not admit it. This sponsorship issue, my 2 cents, if you want to convince the V.O a bit, why not let ur sponsor make a deposit into your account with the payment remark addressing the purpose? Instead of showing how rich your sponsor his by his opening and closing balance. I crouch to be corrected. I wish you all the best and I am enjoying Canada o. Winnipeg is cool and the people are friendly. It was worth the wahala. @ thesoj baba, the gurus with firsthand experience have spoken. How na? We gast relate on you-know-where @yemdogg my learned colleague, thank God u were not delayed in december, the earlier the better shey? @ Germany, i love that country and i can testify that if nor be my mumu love for canny, germany it is. Cheers peeps 7 Likes |
