He can not say that about you. It was a slip of the keyboard.

You once said Ighalo was not experienced enough for what the Super Eagles need upfront and I argued with you. With development going on in Ighalo's play, I can see your point.

So if you think an EPL club's regular starter is not experienced enough and needs more time to become Super Eagles quality, how can you call for an Academy player.

I think this set can make us proud.

So you think creating chances is enough to rate Imoh as the second best.

To me, he was not better than Ekong. Ekong did not only defend well but also helped the midfield stay fluid. Imoh is to create chances as a winger and Ekong is to defend.

Ekong ball playing skills were exceptional. His performance took him straight to the starting line-up. Creating chances is not enough.

Just as defending is not enough to rate a defender as the best. There has to be an extra contribution, which Ekong's ball playing added.

Also, without Azubuike's performance, Imoh did not count against the Germans. That will tell you how important the other players were.

You might feel Imoh was the best. That is your opinion. Just do not make it as a general opinion.

Do not bring Messi and CR7 in this debate because there is no way to equate Imoh in that class. Despite creating chances, these guys break scoring records year after year. Or, did Imoh break scoring record?

In every competition there must be the best. Imoh-ezekiel played pass all other players except Mikel.

No need for to much story.

This Team is definitely "Not there Yet".

However, I believe this team if well managed will go very far.

One of the major reasons I am really happy about the players called for the Tanzania and this Zambia game is: for a long Time, I have not seen it where we get to invite our very best. Even for major tourneys as AFCON and the World Cup.

It simply means the coaches know what they want to achieve and who and who to achieve it.

See, I am not against giving new players opportunity to prove their worth but what I am against is inviting a player of less quality all in the name of discovering new talent. Look at the case of playing Paul Onobi and benching Mikel. What do you call that? Anybody that will bench Mikel must have been proven to be better than him. Anybody who will bench Moses must have proven he is better than him.

Most other coaches come and they come in with their set of players, ignoring the already established talents in the team and this has been drawing us back for years.

How can we have regulars in Arsenal, Mancity, Chelsea, Leicester, Watford and other top European teams and we will still be experimenting with some unknown players from some unknown leagues? I say unleash our best for every game jare. That will quickly aid in Team building. Consistency is the key.

Sincerely, I believe so much in this team. But that game in Ndola and the game against Algeria in Uyo are key to the future of this crop. We get 6points from both games and our Super Eagles are back cheesy. We get 4pts and we say well, they tried smiley. We get 3points, then we say we still have a long way to go undecided. We get 1 or 0 points then... cry

I didn't just know Ighalo today. People thought because he scored 14 goals for Watford in one season then he can quickly solve our scoring problem.

It takes time for players to settle down in the national Team. Yekini joined the Super Eagles in 1984 at a very young age but not until 1988 before he came a major goals threat.
Ighalo to me is not a class A+ or A- striker. I would classify him as a B-. He is just above average. His hard work and share determination has brought him this far. Age is not also on his side.

This is why we should start grooming that Iheanacho-Success- Iwobi partnership. They can turn out to be our own "MSN". These are among the best young players in the world today that if well groomed and managed they can take the world by storm. They just need to be playing more regularly together. They are the "gang" that can solve our goals scoring problem not just Odion Ighalo.

How Do You Invite Players? Turkish Journalist Questions Invitation Of Musa Mohammed

Highly respected Turkish journalist Adnan Adem has questioned the rationale behind the invitation of Musa Mohammed to the Super Eagles, ahead of Nigeria’s first World Cup 2018 qualifiers against Zambia in Ndola.

19 year old Musa was once again included in the list of players called up by the coach of Nigeria Gernot Rohr for the game on the 9th of October, maintaining his spot in the team after his first competitive debut against Tanzania.

Musa Mohammed plays in Turkey for Istanbul Basaksehir, same country where Adnan is highly respected for his coverage of the league and it’s players.

The former Nigeria U-17 and 20 captain is yet to make a single league appearance since joining Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir last summer, but keeps getting invited to the Nigeria senior national team.

Adnan said Musa Mohammed is in the league of players who were highly rated when they first arrived but after few months are viewed as flops.

” How do players get invited to the senior national team of Nigeria?. He is yet to play a single minute of league football in over a year. As a matter of fact, he is yet to make the match day squad for any of their games in all competition” Adnan said.

” He is presently third choice right full back if not fourth, someone they even tried to terminate his contract this summer. He has played more games for Nigeria than he has played for his club in over a year. How does he get invited?.”

What if Algeria only loses to Nigeria in Uyo and win their remaining 5 games. That would be 15pts.

This is the only player I have questioned his inclusion.

The simple answer is: He is the golden boy of Nigerian Youth football. The coaches and fans love him and love what he can bring to the team.

I hope Osimhen developes fast too. I believe he is the last piece of the puzzle of the League Of Extraordinary Hitmen.

...........................Osimhen(CF)
.........Success(SS).............Iheanacho(SS)

I see this as the future of the Super Eagles by 2018. But, Osimhen has to pull one hell of a season at Wolfsburg to make the 2018 team. A tough task but he can achieve if he works really hard.

The Turkish journalist should direct his questions to the coaches in M. Mohammed's club.

How does such a player become a fourth choice right back? Something is really wrong with that club and Musa will soon leave their ridiculous team behind.

I feel the Nwakali brothers will overtake Ndidi for the deeper roles later.

The mid field is one place that would be very competitive in their new future. Papa Mikel's reign is coming to a close.

We have a large pool of both defensive and cenral midfielders that are on the rise. I dnt wish for any particular player or players to over-take any player. That is left for them to do themselves that favor. What I am after is for the coaches to be very objective in which particular crop they chose to groom in the Super Eagles.

Beautifully said. This is getting ridiculous, it is obvious that there is some funny business going on there. Why didn't they release him from his contract? Simple, alot of big clubs were ready to pick him up and they know he will be worth money during the next window. This shows wat an horrible job some agents have been doing for our players.

I think the Nff should come to the aid of this young man. Such a big talent should not be made to waste away at a road side club in freaking Turkey. Something just has to give this coming transfer window.
The Nff should take a cue from Germany on how they handled the case of serge Gnabry at Arsenal. Immediately after the Olympics, DFB made a lot of noise then pressured Arsenal into letting Gnabry leave due to lack of playing time, using wolfsburg as a front to get the boy back to Germany.

Is it not time someone at the nff atleast pickup a phone and call his club's hierarchy to seek an explanation why Musa Muhammed is never even on their team sheet after pulling ranks to deny him an opportunity to play at the Olympics. For goodness sake, this guy is a future super eagles captain, someone should be putting a phone call now! .
