wow! Best transcript ever.
Congratulations!!!
Bridgeport was what caught my eyes. it's one of the schools I plan to apply for M.Eng in Electrical Engineering. Now preparing for GRE, abeg how'd you get that academic abi merit scholarship?

Congratulations once more
Have your money cos there is no Oga abeg or aluta here. It's a private institution. Funding is scarce and not easy to come by.

Thanks for your advice. It's appreciated.
"Funding is scarce " That means there is a shot at it. So it wouldn't hurt to try, would it??
Scarce means you only get those their "wayo" $3000. Infact I have two friends there that were not able to secure GA for the past three semester. If you don't have your money, don't go there. But if you do, please apply. Find schools were you stand a chance of funding.

Its a private school the $3000 scholarship is nothing compared to what you would pay at the school. So if you plan on going there at least have cash for one semester. Else, don't waste application fees bro... Best of luck

I hope you all are following the exchange rate closely. Except you're using the F-1 route to escape here and find your way without attending the school, then you're absolutely fine. But if you have the intention of schooling and you're not that buoyant, please look for school with funding, don't come and be a burden. If you have the money and you're very sure that the money would be readily available not my uncle promise bull crap, then you can apply to any good school of your choice.

Hello gurus in the house....

Sorry but on that basis too many have gained a visa then gone illegal to work!
This is why most schools want payment first.
Also visa officer will want to see proof of payment.

Thanks a lot. I'll shift focus to other schools then.
What about UConn?
UCONN is a good school. But why not spread your interest to other region. I know Connecticut is close to NY and NJ, but you need to consider a lot of thing. First, competition, second your profile and third acceptance rate. I am not discouraging, but try to apply to other region where you'll get less completion as back up plan. Usually we streamline schools using this criteria.

a. Top Tier Schools
b. Mid-tier
c. Safe Schools.

Try and apply to atleast one safe school.

Most Schools sure do have payment plans. They don't expect you to pay all those lump sum. But in all, you are required to pay the whole semester fee within 3months. Don't put ourself under unnecessary pressure. Find school that atleast give some sort of funding.
