We now play like the way Liverpool used to play. Lots of fluidity, mixture of great results with disappointments and ending up a mid table team. Lol

We still played with lot of fluidity enroute to winning FA cup last season with Carrick and Rooney in midfield even with lazy Fellaini in front of them.

Herrera is doing a good job though, I must commend our defence line that has learnt to play very high which makes us to press better. Yesterday they were virtually at the half line almost throughout the game.

On two separate occasions(one being the period that we were on the verge of announcing the deal) Zidane still wanted Pogba and real Madrid would have gotten him if not that we offered Juventus more money. Even Barcelona and Chelsea courted the player last season with Barcelona going as far as almost agreeing a deal with Juventus for the player but were put off by the €100m asking price. Florentino Perez himself entered into negotiations with Juventus but ultimately backed down because of the various clauses in Pogba's contract with Juventus.


I no know if you de expect those clubs to go and kidnap Pogba before it looks like those clubs fought for the player.

As I’m writing this I’m feeling angry because the team played really well but we didn’t win. We drew against Stoke, as you know, and I feel that we were very close to getting the third win in eight days. It was a pity, that’s the truth. My perception from the pitch was that we were playing a good game, creating chances, passing the ball effectively, but we couldn’t complete our job. We have to take the positive aspects and know that if we keep playing like this, we will definitely get good results.

After a bad week with several defeats we did what we had to do: stand up and keep working hard to change that. We got to the next round in the EFL Cup, had a solid win against Leicester and defeated Zorya with work and experience. Against Stoke, the team was full of confidence and we wanted to keep the good streak going. We did it in terms of football and the way we played, but not in the score.

We went for the victory from the beginning, we were better than Stoke and we felt that Old Trafford was supporting our effort. In the first half, we were very close to getting a goal several times. We have to give credit to Stoke goalkeeper Lee Grant for his great performance. In the second half we finally opened the score with a very nice goal from Anthony Martial, but in the last few minutes they took advantage of a good play to tie the game. We gave everything until the end but we were unable to get those three points that were so important and that (with all due respect to our rival) I think we deserved.

With only one point instead of three we are not in the best mood to take the international break, but we are aware that, at our level, everything is possible this season. We have five games in October that are very important and we will give our best to make it a good month. Manchester United has always had challenges and the one we have this season is still there.

Many times in sports you must learn to accept those games when, even if you do many things well, you don’t win. That is football, and that’s why it’s such a nice and exciting sport.

If there was no other option apart from Pogba in the transfer market I see that as a failure on the part of our scouting team. You don't think the $90 million was too much? Lol! There should be other options. There were other players across the globe that can actually press and pass. If you don't believe this it's no fault of mine. I said Fellaini was our best in those first games and that was correct. The statistics are there. Pogba was actually a nuisance and all about himself. He's changed tho that I acknowledge. In case you missed the point then I will do a recap.
Fellaini is/was never solely responsible for any of the points we have dropped this season. Of all the goals we have conceded or didn't score which of them was attributed to Fellaini? Stop being emotional. You don't need it.

But that's the problem, Pogba is not your typical attacking midfielder that is expected to bang in the goals every match day. Everybody de chop goals wey even near goal line, it can happen. Profligacy killed us yesterday. This is the problem I had with his price, it will eventually attract the "a £90m player should be banging in goals left/right and singlehandedly win matches" statement. We are all forgetting that this guy was not responsible for the price tag, rather it was Juventus that wanted that amount of money for him. When Pogba was in Juventus, nobody was talking about his goals but rather his midfield abilities were brought up whenever he was mentioned but now that he's in manutd, everybody expects him to score hattricks every match day even if na defense he play.


To dominate like how Ferguson did is not something that will be achieved easily by any coach. Sure we need match winners but we need a system first, Jose is trying to play a different brand of football to the one that he's known for and I expect it will take a bit of time before these players adjust well enough for it. We were very unlucky yesterday, we played well but we drew, that's football.

That we are comparing Dele with Pogba and someone is asking for trophies won? Ozil in arsenal has more impact than most attacking midfielders in the epl but has he won the epl? No! The last match winner we had was Ronaldo. You don't know what match winners do.

Bale was also a match winner for Spurs. I don't count players like RVP, Chicha as match winners. They feed on efforts of others, they can be prolific though.
