Hi all, for those who bough BA tickets, were you able to use your bank cards or did you have to use some other means? Trying to make sure I take advantage of this sale.

Thanks

I wanted to use card but cos my card bares my maiden name, I didn't use it to pay cos I read somwher that the name on the card must match the baby's last name. So I bought 2 money orders at USPS $77 and $30, I mailed the 77 on Friday evenin to innovate services(the instructns is on the page) then I got a confirmation n appt date yesterday. It's easy. All the best.

P.s don't mail the $30 money order cos u r meant to take it along wit u on the appt day.

Hi,
You can call innovate services to change the date. That was what i did. Initially, I called yhe number on naija website, the lady took down my details but didn't change the date. I had to call innovate services and they asked me to send a email to an address i can't remember now. On the day of my appointment, so many people came that did not have appointments for that day. You can try that too

BA is a long story o, I was at the office today at Ikoyi. The security told me I have to use a dollar card to pay online after booking that Naira card is no longer acceptable. He gave me a second option of booking on the phone but with extra 30$ charge. I eventually called the customer care number displayed in their office and spoke with one Indian guy who couldn't pronounced English alphabets very well and made my booking. He gave me the reservation code and adviced I pay before 72hrs at any gtbank branch. You might want to try this option too, just make sure you spell out the names clearly to whoever picks your call and also your travel dates to avoid mistakes because I am sure you will definitely speak to an Indian. All the best

Good people of nairaland, I greet. I have a question o. As God don open doors, it's possible for my hubby to join me in the USA before I put to bed. However, I'm a little confused as to how he will get the Notarised document from the embassy if he's there with me in the USA, when I put to bed. Any ideas pls?

Dunnibaby,if he is there with you then he doesn't need it. Its only when one parent is absent that the notary is required.

Did two BA bookings to different destinations in the US on wakanow over the weekend (trying to trust them again after one very annoying failing on their part previously), paid using my naija bank MasterCard and was auto-ticketed, less than 300k the one, less than 400k the other. Seems tickets ain't flexible though, not so sure, but will be using them on the dates they were bought for.

I'm sure about their policy however what you cannot rule out is that the airline official checking you in may not notice you're pregnant. I once flew lufthansa heavily pregnant and they did not notice I was pregnant and never asked for my fit to fly. Did you give them a fit to fly letter staking clearly that you were 35 weeks gone when you were boarding?

You should count yourself lucky you were not spotted. BA can be very strict.

i fly BA at 34 wks. it allows up to 36 wks for singleton.

I used my bank card. But know your bank rates before they shock you like they did me. I checked Diamond bank 2 days before I used my card and it was 385. Only to pay for a friend's ticket to UK and they charged me 410. Shocked was an understatement. They have cheap tickets but the bank rate will make all the difference.

Why dont u book direct from BA website and pay naira equivalent at any GTB bank at the rate of 314naira per1 dollar as at today BA rate. And they will issue the ticket and sent to your Email.instead of using those Ticketing agents or Using your mastercard. Thats how i normally purchase my wife and kids BA tickets.

The option is still technically open, but you have to do it over the phone and pay 30$ more. That was exactly what I did and with the booking reference code, you can pay at gtbank within 72 hours.

@Chiowerri yes indeed o. I'm just seeing their mail now. Hopefully this price doesn't change again for the longest time being. If only they would accept a prepayment so one can lock down the contract. I'm a January mum, you? God bless all the new mamas and lo's and all our plans.
