I started my journey with WES on September 5 and everything got ended on October 12. My cgpa of 4.01 was evaluated to 3.44. The method of notification was via email to my school of which my school didnt see it at first. I had to fax a letter to WES about 2weeks later specifying the correct school e-mail id to be sent to. My school got the letter the next day and replied back to WES that same day.

Please biko who knows how many days WES will deliver a copy of the report to the school am applying to in USA and also to me to. I paid for standard delivery $7.

I think it depends, judging from the day I ordered mine and the day I received a mail from my school for receipt of the delivery. It took 10 days.

Yours might not really be upto that if you had indicated that school at your first payment. ( I may be wrong about this assumption though)

A lot of work you will do by yourself....take your pen note these steps.... then using it as a guide go read from part 1 till today post.... if you want to gain the maximum of knowledge ....also what i am posting below is from google so use it as well

1. Have an idea of what degree you want .

2.  Explore universities

Consider the school's location, cost, academic programs and majors, and campus life

3. Find out what standardised test you need to take SAT TOEFL GRE GMAT  ...Although for some schools test is optional but still essential for credibility and funding such as GA or scholarship

4  Research admission requirements: test , letter of recommendation. , transcript convertion WES or others ,  bank statements

Have your transcript evaluated if this is a requirement

5.Register and take the test(s)

6.Make a financial plan of how you intend to fund the program

7. Assemble your applications and apply

After applying if you need to reach out to professor or grad school for funding do so and follow the school process

If given admission or multiple admission then select the school you want and face visa

School should issue you admission letter and i20.....i20 usually issued after financial capability has been verified . Some schools charge you to dhl or FedEx your i20 or you can pay regular posting which takes longer

..........................................
Visa step
1. Step 1 is to have your admission and i20
2. Pay the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) fee;
3.Complete a US student visa application ds160
4. Pay the visa application fee
5. Come to Nairaland and use available tools and transcript to prepare well
6. Schedule and attend a visa interview

OK sir tank u sir
LagosismyHome:

This question has been mentioned before .... new applicants try to read old post

There are two seasons academic seasons or the weather seasons . They are slightly different so it depends on which on u want . What u have up is most likely the weather season.

For academic season fall is August , spring is January summer is the same around June ...... i dont knw when winter session is for academic because most schools have 3 semester a year , only few schools run 4 quaterly semester

themmydhayhor, I dont really think there is anyone here that can be spoon feeding you guys (This is not an insult) because most people are very busy with assignments, research, Assistanship duty etc. I am like putting someone special to me through the process and its practically like i am the one doing all the whole process and i still have TA duties, loads of assignments, research paper to read. its tiring but it will be worth it at the end trust me , so my brother the best anyone can do is to just give you a general overview and you get to work, if you have any question you can come here to ask. So step 1) Decide on the course you want to study 2) Search for schools using a) www.google.com b)www.gradschools.com c)www.msinus.com d) www.usnews.com e) www.4icu.org read this website for an idea about the admision process http://graddecision.org/. 3) check up the website of the schools to see the requirements. most schools will require GRE and some will require both gre and toefl, its good to do all this exam to at least have a chance at funding. 4) register for standardize exam and take it 5) Send your application and back it up with prayers. This is just a summary of the initial process.I wont deceive you, the process is overwhelming but take step by step. DONT GIVE YOUR LIFE/DESTINY TO AN AGENT PLEASE.

1) you dont need to register with an institution, you can do it yourself but since most banks are now reducing there dollar pos/online limit, you will have to look for an atm that works. You can pass (>100) the exam by studying for just 2weeks, toefl is not really a big deal. The reading and listening section are cheap..very very just dont lose concentration while listening, the part you will need to concentrate on is the speaking. if you had read this thread you would have seen where i posted materials for noteful toefl speaking just yesteday, they seem to be the best. So next time take your time to read the thread, people hate replying the same answers all over again but let me just post the link again for you, next time you might not be lucky, you will have to read the thread..infact i read this thread like a story book and it was interesting then

Sat is generally for undergraduate admission while GMAT/GRE are for graduate admission. Most times MBA require GMAT while other graduate programs require GRE. TOEFL is for English proficiency, some scools waive toefl for Nigerians while other dont. The required exam will be on your department website, go there and check. They also consider these exams when making decision for funding . IF anything you must take standardized exam even if your dept does require it because of embassy

well each schools as there own requirements but base on the test, some schools don't require it before considering for admission as far as you have a good academic grades, while some schools require both before they could actually consider you for admission, some require only the SAT,while some require only TOEFL,so I said earlier is based on each school requirements, and the importance of taking the SAT is that if you could have a high score you have a better chance of getting a scholarship.

what you're saying sir is that either SAT or TOELF is good to go as an exam.

The most important thing is the class start date, thought your orientation date is also important, but my own advice is that you should travel from December 9,so you can also inform your DSO about it maybe there's any other date for the orientation, because the CBP officer don't joke with the 30days rules
