Like I said, I don't have a problem with tecno and if there was a zeal to own one, I did buy it without thinking twice. But there are certain things that shouldn't be done and it's comparing a tecno flagship with a Samsung/iPhone flagship.

In order for tecno to be relevant in the market, they adopted the use of an old chipset capable but not strong enough to outwit the samsung/iPhone flagship chipset.

Its like comparing a luxurious Lexus to a Bentley or Rolls-Royce though both are luxurious they are not in the same class nor comparable

They started from somewhere, and looking back, one has to give kudos to them for attaining this level in such a short time and the message, I believe they are passing, is that you don't have to break the bank to have these "luxurious" devices (u get what I mean). And as to the chipset ehn, I believe with time, they will get it right.

formally we were at the mercy of quack phone engineers who do more damage to ur phone. Calcare centers was a god sent for a lot of people.

i can relate with what you said. i understand that one can manipulate these scores but if that is really the scores of the phantom 6 then i think Tecno is on to a winner with this one.

I am optimistic it will receive updates. They need to start supporting their phones, not just the flagships but their mid range offerings as well.

Their rise is nothing short of spectacular. when they first started people associate their phones with cheap and fake, now they are arguably one of the biggest smartphone maker in Africa.

They are not there yet but I am sure they will get better year in year out. I used to look down on them too, but looking back at where they are coming from, one will see a big growth, a growth that is making a statement.

Yeah. I think if they are a really smart company as they claim, they should view the the public criticism of their products as things to work on and make better. But honestly, though I'm not fully convinced, I see them doing the "offensive" in terms of cutting edge technology. So they are not just correcting past mistakes, but are pioneering latest innovations on their own. I hope they can keep up the tempo and not flop on the way.
