EXCLUSIVE: Rohr Lines Up Dutch-Nigerian Ebuehi As Alternative To Musa Mohammed

Reports exclusively gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com by sources close to the coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr, has it that the German coach is making plans to call up Tyronne Ebuehi.

Ebuehi is presently one of the names under consideration as alternative to Musa Mohammed, who has been struggling to get games at Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir.

20 year old Ebuehi plays for ADO Den Haag in the Netherlands, where he has made four appearances in the Dutch top flight league with a goal to his name.

Born in the Netherlands to Nigerian parents, his switch won’t pose most of a problem to Nigeria as he is yet to be capped by the Netherlands.

” The young boy who plays in the Netherlands Ebuehi, is seriously under consideration. He is doing well in a top league. Rohr is watching him at close quarters. Let me just say he could replace Musa Mohammed in the team” a source told Owngoalnigeria.com.

Respect Enyeama’s decision, Shorunmu tells Rohr.

Former Super Eagles shot-stopper and goalkeeper coach, Ike Shorunmu, has called on Gernot Rohr to respect the decision of Vincent Enyeama to be left out of the senior national team.

Enyeama hung his gloves for the Super Eagles following a stand-off with former coach, Sunday Oliseh in Belgium last year. Gernot Rohr on filling the vacant position left by Oliseh has not hidden his love for Enyeama and his desire to have him back in his fold.

Shorunmu who handed over his goalkeeping job for the Eagles to Enyeama in 2002 has called on Rohr to keep faith with Carl Ikeme who has not done bad himself since taking over from Enyeama.

Shorunmu speaking, said, “There have been several calls for him (Enyeama) to return to the team, but he has insisted and his decision should be respected even if the manner at which he exited the international scene was not a good one,”“He should be left alone! The same thing happening now occurred to me when I retired from international football”‎“ Maybe that’s what Enyeama feels as well.

The likes of Ikeme, Daniel Akpeyi and Ikechukwu Ezenwa must be given a chance.”

nothing wey man no go hear. With the best coach? Conte is the best coach? With the best players? I thought you were talking about Chelsea since, oh wait you are, so who are the best players? You wanna compare? Costa to Aguero? Atleast Iheanacho is easily better than Bats-whatever who is actually higher in the pecking order than Solanke. De Bruyne to who? Hazard? Willian? De Bruyne got injured and the Man City train came to a complete halt, so if you think that Hazard is better at this point in time, then sorry. Or will you compare Stones and Otamendi and even Kompany to old man Ivanovic? Calamitous Cahil? Bunny Luiz? Who! If I play at Chelsea and I am in the 3rd choice then I am worth nothing. Which games will he play? None. I don't want to mention Arsenal because Ozil alone is better than all their midfield combined, when you add Sanchez alone that one na die.

Wait sef, this isn't making sense to me, what are we arguing? Solanke played in a far weaker league and played more minutes than Iheanacho yet he scored less goals, what are we still arguing? Ok, Gbolaham Salami has scored 15 goals in the Finland league, he is better than Solanke.
you seem to be on drugs with what you've just written, so no Chelsea player is better than man city. Even with a man down, Chelsea wouldn't have gone down so cheaply to Barcelona. If a player get injured and the whole team collapse it's a sign of a very bad team and not the other way round. And on what basis are you comparing hazard to De bruyne.

on Hazard and De bruyne, De Bruyne has created more chances than Hazard for the past 3 seasons running, what is the work of an AMF? Do you think it's about dribbling? I'd rather have Xavi in my team than Ronaldinho, Ronaldinho can beat 6 players to score one goal, Xavi can give 6 passes for your team to score 6 goals. Individually, Ronaldinho is better, but when it comes to team player, Xavi for me.

De Bruyne has assisted more goals in the past 3 seasons than Hazard and Willian combined.

What does Hazard do better than De Bruyne beside dribbling defenders?

GOOD OMEN: Nigeria Have Never Lost A
Game Under Gassama, Referee Appointed
For Algeria Tie

Following the appointment of Bakary Papa
Gassama as the centre referee for Nigeria’s next
World Cup 2018 qualifiers against Algeria,
Owngoalnigeria.com takes a look at the number
of times he has handled Nigeria.

The Gambian first handled Nigeria in a
competitive game on the 2nd of December 2012 in an Olympic qualifiers , ironically the first and only time he has handled a game involving
Nigeria and Algeria, and Nigeria won 4-1.

Gassama’s next game involving Nigeria was at the AFCON 2013 quarter-finals with Nigeria thumping CIV 2-1 to progress to the Semi-Finals.

2014 was the last time, he handled a game
involving Nigeria and it was the 2014 World Cup
Qualifiers between Nigeria and Ethiopia, a game
Nigeria won 2-0 on the 16th of November 2013.

Meanwhile he has handled Algeria, three times in the past starting from their 4-1 loss to Nigeria in an Olympic qualifiers, before being in the middle in their 4-0 victory over Rwanda same year.

In 2013 he handled Algeria’s 1-0 loss to Tunisia in an Africa Cup of Nation group game in 2013,
while the last time the 37 year old handled a
