It is such a pity that our bloggers always focus on checking their earnings on daily basis leaving useful things behind,"MONEY COMES FIRST" that is their motto.
Well blogging isn't all about earnings,it deals with the message that you are able to pass across to your readers.

Here are the things you must do on daily basis that make you a complete blogger

1.Publish Articles : Many have turned article posting to a weekly job,they publish once in a week. The only thing they think of is tracking their adsense earning,infact am very sure those sort of people if they calculate the pageviews they earned navigating from one place to another on their panel and add it to their blog. The blog will rank top ten on alexa


2.Checking your new newsletter subscribers : Checking your new subscribers is really a major factor,you should at least thank them for subscribing,if they didn't subscribe you are not going to arrest them.
Many websites get a whole lot of traffic from it

3.Share your topics on social medias :
Sharing your topics on social media is like using a stone to kill three birds,these are the three birds you are killing with it.

*Increasing your tweets
*Getting more backlinks from social media
*Increasing your traffic

You stand a chance to gain those three benefits if you frequently share your topics on social media

4.Check your pageviews and where they came from : There are some tools and plugins that help to track readers,you can check the total number of hits your website gets and where they came from be it search engines,social medias or forums.
Tracking them will cheer you up to further root for traffic on those sites i mentioned

5.Review your comments : Many don't really have time to review comments on daily basis which is very bad e.g. Blogs like " ".
I am not going to mention names here,they may come for my head later.
Why won't you review comments? Your readers may need urgent help

Thank OP for a great write up.

However, there are different strokes for different folks.

Some people might choose to monetize their blog before any other thing and succeed while others choose to give give quality information before money.

It's all about how the individual feels.

Though, I will still recommend one having a strategy of how to make money from their blogs, no matter what category they belong.

P.S: The strategy should be in place as early as possible.

It depends on ur niche bro. Brian adams [ backlinko ] publishes an article once a month. He still has 95,000 pageviews. Harsh Agriwal went a whole month on autopilot - his 660,000 daily pageviews still intact. Linda Ikeji dare not take a week off.

Hello @Brightgem, You have a beautiful and clean blog layout. I also love the color scheme, it feels alive and swirling with energy.

I felt at home with your blog, though I noticed there're little or no engagement with your posts.

Quick question:

1. Do you blog full time?

2. How often do you write. I noticed varying time. Sometimes you publish within a space of 3 days and other times go for a week without publishing.

3. How do you promote your blogs?

4. Do you mind if I share with you some techniques you can implement to drive comments? Note: They're not mine, but will be willing to point you in the right direction.


Sorry this is a long one. Just got carried away. I'm passionate about collaborating with bloggers and internet entrepreneurs with their online businesses.

Thanks much for those observations. I got help too getting that far from some nice Nairalanders. Little engagement is putting it nicely, its pretty hard. I dnt blog full time I have other engagements thoug mostly have to do with sitting in front of a system. I want2 have posts up at least twice a week except there is a breaking news in health world I admit not having achieved that consistency yet. So far the bulk of audience have come from facebook & nairaland. I have a fb page so I promote with fb ads. Ofcourse I am more than keen to hear ur thoughts on getting more engagements. Most other bloggers tend to see themselves as competition and I am like why!
