The Nigerian Naira gained against the US dollar on Thursday after dollar scarcity forced it to trade lower on Wednesday. The local currency improved N5 to close at N465 at the parallel market, from N470 it traded on Wednesday. While both the Pound Sterling and the Euro exchanged at N565 and N505 respectively. At the interbank market, the Naira gained N1.78 from N306.78 it traded on Wednesday to close at N305 to a US dollar, while the Bureau De Change operators exchange at N385. Experts have said the currency appreciated as Bureau De Change operators await the sale of dollars from Travelex, a CBN licenced international forex dealer. “The Naira would appreciate further by the close of trading when BDCs would have all gotten their weekly Forex allocation from Travelex,” said Mr. Harrison Owoh, The Chief Executive Officer of H.J Trust. just some random thots

- Fixed income yields continues to soak up local liquidity but fails to attract foreign inflow.
(if you hav 1 billion Naira, its likely you will take a 1 Yr +20% T-Bill)
- Unclear forex policy & fx liquidity will continue to drag most sectors
- Banks have no reason to lend with such govt yields. Its FREE MONEY.
- Without higher foreign participation and lower govt securities yield, capital market will remain cheaper for much longer
- its safe to avoid earnings bias & dividend bias
- 2017 Q1 games will be between Dividend yield versus Tbill Yield for short plays
- d unclear fx policy and fx liquidity squeeze and inconsistent CBN interventions will soon throw up more economic jabs and further macro uncertainties
- looking at d index over the last 3 - 5 years , its still bearish, making lowers highs each time. Caution to long term people
- take profits always and cut losers quickly
- 1 year daily chart : bearish
- 1 year weekly chart : bearish

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by lafencer: 11:07am On Oct 28, 2016
This MC issue is actually a problem faced by many coys in Nig - key man risk, with no succession plan in place. We really cannot blame NSE especially when MC is actually less than 5 yrs old.

And this could have also been the issue with withdrawing as well. Perhaps the late Adu (RIP) was the sole signatory and upon death, the account was temporarily frozen while signatory issues are being sorted out. My thoughts.

Guys have u noticed that when you enter a limit/market order trade on lead trader, it takes up to not less than 10mins for your order to appear in the
Buy and sell order window on other fast real time platforms like the I trade platform. Meaning that leadtrader platform is not capable of real time instant execution on buy or sell orders.
And this is not good at all for a smart active trader cos it will always lead to loosing golden opportunities!
