A 32-year-old man has publicly seeked the advice of people about his relationship. The young via a social media handle disclosed how his 31-year-old girlfriend had helped save his life by donating one of her kidneys to him but some months/years after, the love he had for her faded.


“I am 32-years-old and my girlfriend is 31-years-old. We’ve been together for 5-years and now live together in a nice house. Sometime ago, I had serious medical problems and she gave me one of her kidneys to save my life. However, things have been slowly fizzling out and I’ve been feeling like we don’t belong together for a few months now. I feel like if I don’t make a decision soon we will be married and I will feel this way

But on the other hand, getting a kidney transplant has changed my life for the better in so many ways. I feel like staying together is the right thing to do even if I’m not in love anymore. I’ll never be able to pay her back. I’m so torn and conflicted and feel like I have to make an impossible choice. If I stay with her, I’ll always feel trapped and in a loveless relationship. If I break up with her, I’ll forever feel like an evil person for dumping someone who literally put their life on the line for me.”

Donating her kidney to u doesn't mean u should marry her, firstly she ws stupid to have donated her kidney to an ordinary bf, thanks to her kind heart tho...secondly i don't think u begged her to donate her kidney so u shldn't enslave urself by marrying her cos she wouldn't even enjoy such marriage since u no longer love her....my advice to u is dt u look for a way to hook her up with any good frnd of urs willing to marry her or better still if u r bouyant; u should compensate her financially so u won't feel too bad....

First, the kid by the name "Zaramdgreat" who said you didn't beg her obviously doesn't know or comprehend the meaning of donate, the gravity of your health condition and the concomitant selfless sacrifice by your girlfriend. Donation means a gift which is given for a good or worthy cause; she donated because it was a worthy cause, a life and death situation for you. You don't need to be a medical practitioner to appraise and appreciate the fact that a functioning kidney is a "sine qua non" to good health and life. Meaning that you may not be here seeking an opinion if she didn't donate the kidney. What sacrifice can be greater than that? Isn't that enough for you to love her to death? Yes the grass is always greener on the otherside until you hop to that otherside. Frankly, you have to be extremely heartless to even think of dumping her but it's your conscience and you have to live with it when all said and done.
