dude, I'm not a man or a bro, I'm a sis.

Once again, stop moaning about these things, the guy say e never ready, toh, leave matter. No need to juxtapose teams and assume he would have jumped at the Dutch team, which I don't think he doesn't have the right to honestly

This is a boy that only knows Netherlands, the only thing that joins him to Nigeria is a father that probably never spoke of the country, most of us condemning him would most likely jump at a chance to play for Netherlands rather than Nigeria that can't even get their shiit together for an extended period of time.

Take a chill pill, no need to beat ourselves up. We'll go to Russia with or without the kid, he's not Kompany or Marcelo
U NEVA CAN TELL THOUGH

Alaba snr actually brought David to the national team U17 camp and he trained with the team before the coach judged him to be too small to make his team.
All am saying is that Tyrone should have honoured the call and trained with the team. His minders can reach an agreement with the TA that he's not ready to play a role in the game.
He was sent an invitation with the federal Republic stamp and coat of arm on it. He should have honored the call and probably stayed away from the game since he is not ready. That is if he was interested in representing Nigeria.

Somebody told him it was wiser to stay pu, he took the advise like the small boy he is. And Austria is no Netherlands anyway, so Alaba should have had Nigeria as first choice

He's 20, if you send him another invite next year and he refuses, you move on.

Haba! I don't support all these calls for him to never be considered again, do you guys remember how many times Mikel shunned us when he was young? We had every right never to invite him again, but he was given chances repeatedly and it paid off

If we want to go to Russia and make a mark, we need to go with the best in every section, we will invite anyone with even a quarter of Nigerian blood to compete and we ought to do that at least twice before throwing in the towel.

NFF is not offering the players any incentives, Nigeria is not one of the top countries most would consider if you gave them ten choices because the administration is shiit, so cut the foreign boys some slack.

No need to burn someone on a stake because we feel slighted

FROM FAYEMI TO IHEANACHO: IT'S 167 GOALS

Pa Dejo Fayemi, the octogenarian now living Ibadan holds the record of scoring Nigeria's first World Cup qualifying goal. He did that when his 50thminute strike reduced the tally to 2-1 in an eventual 4-1 loss to the Black Stars of Ghana in Accra on August 28, 1960.
Fayemi scored again in the return leg match in Lagos that ended 2-2. Till date, Nigeria's number of goals has risen to 167 making the Super Eagles the second team behind Tunisia as side with most goals in all-time ranking of scorers among African teams in the World Cup qualifying series.

But on January 7, 2001 in Port Harcourt, Nigeria became the first African side to hit the 100-goal mark in the World Cup qualifiers following a 3-0 defeat of Sudan.
The historic 100thgoal was scored by in the 57thminute by Victor Agali when he raised the score line to 2-0. Obafemi Martin's goal against Kenya in Nairobi which brought score line to 1-1 on the road to South Africa 2010 was Nigeria's 150thgoal since that of Fayemi in 1960.

I a sorry but I disagree, just because someone does not like two players does not make him a troll, it's not as if he is trolling our players he has his own preferences just like you do not like Oshaniwa for example, so you people should please stop using that word, first you called forgiveness a troll now this guy? please cut down on the insults, if you don't like his comments then skip simple and short!

When one is shallow minded, myopic, intolerant and bereaved or deprived of freedom of thought, freedom of expression, it's expected that one would resort to name calling and all sorts of evil and dirty devices due to the rigidity thought/heart suffered in/during childhood at the detriment of their vulnerable(not in my case) victims.

Such people needs to be informed of what is called 'fundamental human rights' less they bring one back under subjection to mental slavery, suppression which our forefathers fought against to attain this freedoms.

It is best to ignore or rebuff such personalities ferociously else..... grin

So you are indirectly saying that you will be gratified and elated if Man City plays entertaining football and ends up failing to win trophies? To me, that is nauseating. The foremost/ultimate objective of any football club/national team is to win trophies. This is what fans want, playing entertaining football without getting desired results is only ephemerally entertaining your fans on the pitch and not afterwards.

I believe in long term success. Not short term. So trick tactics to win a game to me is not the way to go. That is why I abhor cheating to win.

I believe if a team keeps working hard and playing well, in the long run, the titles will come. So when City were not winning, I was not thinking of the short gains but the long term fruits of multiple success. Which is the true dream of fans.

If Iheanacho plays upfront. I would fancy Iwobi to play the number 10 role.Simple. Moses, Musa, Simon and Etebor are all wings options. So, no vacancy.

Just as Iwobi is a wing option, Aluko can play as a wing forward too. He also an option for the ten role. A very good option. I will pick him before Iwobi because of Aluko's ability to attract players to him and create gaps for the forwards.

I did not hear of Alaba arriving the U17 camp. He sent his agent to let the handlers of the U17 team know that he was available and ready to play for us. The agent returned with an information that the coaches will work with only home based players. Alaba believed it was due to handling his logistics, bringing him from Austria to the camp.

I remember reading an article and the journalist asked Balogun what about a call-up to the German squad. He said he made up his mind to play for he Super Eagles. That was his dream. He talked of his father's admiration of the Super Eagles.

However, I think the Super Eagles belongs to those who feel ready to play for the team. Those who are devoted to the Jersey and flag. If Ebuehi tomorrow feels he wants to play for his homeland and he is passionate to make an impact. If he makes a good addition, I do not we should reject him.

He simply stood no chance with Germany, he's just one of the smart ones who recognised that on time and figured SE would certainly be his best choice.

Most of them are delusional, that's what separated Leon, all these stories of always wanting to play for Nigeria are just that- stories

You can not say for sure Balogun stood no chance because he is really a brilliant player. He might not stand a chance in the starting line-up but some weak players get call-ups, talk less of a talent like Balogun.

I think the praise should go to his dad who kept him educated on the footballing history of his country. I doubt these guys who reject us have an idea of how precious the Super Eagles is to millions of Nigerians.

If you can't make the starting XI of your national team consistently, then you're just a spare tyre. Azzin, dem no send you.

Anyway, like I said earlier, his dad probably never even spoke of Nigeria, talk less SE, we know how some of these diasporans can get

U-TURN?- Family Denies Ebuehi’s Withdrawal, Insist He Will Play For Nigeria

The controversy surrounding Tyronne Ebuehi’s withdrawal from the Nigeria squad for the World Cup 2018 qualifiers against Algeria has taken a different twist.

20 year old Ebuehi, who is also eligible to play for the Netherlands was called up for the first time by Nigeria, but in a rather bizarre twist, the ADO Den Haag full back rejected the call in an interview on the website of his club.

“I see it as a great honor that I am noted in my homeland,” says Ebuehi.

“But at this moment ADO Den Haag requires my full attention. Especially now that I am settled in the team. Therefore, it doesn’t seems to me like the right time to travel to Nigeria for the match. I want to focus completely on the club . but I certainly do not rule out playing for Nigeria in the future, if the next time am called up ” He told the club official website.

After his statement, Owngoalnigeria.com contacted the president of the Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Pinnick, who revealed he has spoken with the father over his son’s withdrawal.

” It’s not true. His agent (Wessel Weezenberg) is behind that statement, it was done without the consent of the player. As a matter of fact his father confidently told me that he will play for Nigeria” He told Owngoalnigeria.com.

” For now, we don’t know why the agent is trying to block him from Nigeria. He earlier denied contact with Nigeria over his services. But we are speaking with his family. We have their word. He will play for Nigeria”.

He was actually at the U17 camp with his daddad in 2007, although he was a lot younger than 17 then, probably 14yrs. Either Fanny Amun or some other official said he was too small. I got this from a journalist who was attached to the FA durring that period.

Agents do that all the time. It depends on the boy now. I think, they should talk to the boy and get his final word. He might be more inclined to his agent than the family.

A player like Otigba who Omeruo is not better than in the Turkish league contunues to get ignored. I will just call Otigba as a replacement.

If Algeria play a defensive 4-2-3-1, then we will struggle. Zambia was good to us because we were able to control the midfield, and so dictate the pace of the match. With Leeken's only signature formation, I will not mind having a slim 1-0 win. It cannot be more than 1 goal that separates us on the 12th anyway.

Unless another date. 2007 was Yemi Tella's time and Alaba was within the age limit. By 2009, two years later, he was playing for the Bayern Munich first team.

SE usually concede one goal, so make it 2-1

I think the number tallies. Alaba is 24 yrs old, in 2007 he should be 15. Screening for the 2007 U17 team should have been opened in 2006 when he was actually 14. He made his debut for Bayern at 17yrs and a few months in 2009, so the number tallies.
