Just a quick update....I paid the IHS this morning and sent the email with the details...e.g. the old and new GWF, IHS ref and the payment amount..

I called the HO today they said the application is still being processed so hopefully they were still waiting for us to pay.
Fingers crossed I don't receive a refund in the new couple of days. I really pray after all this waiting that my husband would be here for Christmas.

My question from my 1st post last night is what should I do, call the UKVI or keep waiting to hear from them...like I said, I've been waiting for more than 4 months and from the past posts that I've read in here, a few people have got a decision on their applications between 10 and 12 weeks after applying.

Sorry about my lack of response, was probably an oversight.
The applications that were granted within the prescribed limits are straightforward.
From your initial response, they already said your application was not straightforward and from your response to the questions, you seem not to be aware of any reason or reasons why they stated the complications.
Might be a good idea to start considering getting your wives MP involved (MP's letter headed paper is like a catalyst)................

A few months after we got married we applied for a spouse visa and were refused.
The reason for refusal is that they don't believe that our relationship is genuine and to be honest, looking at it from their point of view I can see why...
Following bad advice from my solicitor I only provided evidence of our relationship from our wedding onwards but nothing before that. Things are actually made even worse by the fact that we got married on the first day we physically met. When I arrived in Nigeria we already knew we wanted to get married so we went to the registry office to find out what we needed to do where we were told that for an extra fee we could get married on that same day! We decided to go ahead and do it thinking that the sooner we did it the sooner we would be together...
[b]The truth is that the evidence of communication we have before that is very limited as my husband did not have a passport so any money I sent was to his parents and as he didn't have a smartphone or computer until my visit we don't have emails or messages before our wedding. Due to the high cost of calls our communication was not very frequent and as he had a different number then (which he no longer has) there is an itemised bill of calls to a number that can no longer be verified along with calls to other members of his family (when the call to his number could not go through or when his phone had no battery).
The only other evidence I have is the receipt for a watch I bought him as a gift for our first Christmas as a couple (back in 2014) which has a picture of the watch on it and he can be seen wearing on our wedding day.
I also have the itemised bill I mentioned above which unfortunately only goes back to September 2015 as Lycamobile only keep records for 1 year, a log of western union money transfers going back to 2013, an undated letter that I wrote him where I do not refer to him by name, cards from friends about our wedding (undated and not stamped), and some undated Christmas cards I sent him with the watch...
Is it worth me lodging an appeal in your opinion? Any chance that the decision may be overturned by the ECM on this new evidence? If I reapply I understand that we may get turned down based on the fact that we have already been turned down before.
My biggest fear is that we will never be able to get a uk visa as the reason they are refusing is not something we can fix... unless someone knows to collect evidence from the beginning then there is no second chance... can this be fixed? If we apply again in a year's time with evidence that we are still together (communication, visits to Nigeria) do you think that they will still turn us down based on the fact that we have no evidence from before the wedding?[/b]

Plus she is actually from Birmingham but now lives around Coventry. Is she supposed to contact the MP from Brum or Cov?

Please answers/responses/suggestions from other gurus in this section are highly welcome.

'processing of your application has not been straightforward' - It means more digging and verification is required. What they are trying to dig or verify, is best known to them
Your wife would live a borough, that borough would have an MP. MP's normally run clinics, in this clinics issues that constituents needs assistance with are raised.
The MP would ask questions and send a letter out requesting clarifications.
I hope with this few points, I also have not attempted to confuse you(if i have, its not intentional)

I understand the explanation about boroughs hence I can enlighten her about how to go about getting to find out her borough and then subsequently contacting the borough MP.... Thanks

I came to uk in 2008 with student visa, I got married to eea national and I was given 5year eea family member visa in October 2010, due to some issues we separated in September 2015. In October 2015 I applied for my permanent residence which was granted in April 2016 so I will be due for British citizenship in April 2016 by Gods grace.
In 2011 I traveled to Nigeria when I was still with my ex, I met my former girlfriend when I was in university in Nigeria, some how one thing lead to another she became pregnant and gave birth in 2012, the boy is now for years old now.
My issue now is I want to marry my baby mama so that I can bring both of them here in uk tho I want to do that after getting my British citizenship.
Please the guru's in the house what is the best way to go about it.

Not Judging your request, but just an observation to clarify issues
- While married you got your Nigerian girlfriend pregnant, and had a son
- Your marriage collapsed in 2015
- Are you legally separated?
- You are due British citizenship in April 2016. We are already in November 2016.
- Do you have all communication logs with your girlfriend and evidence to proof a subsisting relationship?
- Do you earn about £23,000 per annum
- Proof of occupancy etc etc etc etc etc etc
Inshort, read this thread from page 1 - 216 for very handful tips...................

Most of our nowadays are on whatsapp and my income is more than £23k.
Tenancy agreement is not a problem.
