I haven't been on here in a while now and just when I stopped worrying about my trv and started making other plans In life my trv got approved today. Here's my timeline
Applied (paper route): August 11th
Biometrics: August 11th
Called for medicals: September 15th
Medicals done: September 19th
Used the schools agent so I don't know the date i passed medicals.
Approval mail: November 3rd.

I don't know why I'm not excited. Lol.

@Justwise and good participants of Nairaland, today I applied for an undergraduate degree in the International College of Manitoba so I could spend 2 years and transfer to the University of Manitoba to complete the remaining 2 years.
I want to ask if anyone knows the time it takes for getting an admission decision from the college for International applicants and if prospective or current students are on this tread.

Seems like the domiciliary account method is the way forward right now. Or maybe someone over there can pay for you if possible.

the debit card foreign transaction still works jor, provided its not above $300. but with GTB card, am not sure, just try ur card( Naira MasterCard or Visa card) make sure u have upto 100k in ur account, just incase plenty charges join during the exchange conversation and charges. let me knw the outcome.

you have not made known the reason behind the refusal.As you are concerned about removing step siblings,were you refused on insufficient funds? Meanwhile those data have been captured for especially family information, so you ll have to maintain that information in ur current application.

All his professor and some doctor are nt responding to his request for recommendation. My question is dat can he used 2 non academic referee? Moreover he works in an international school. And the two referee are HODS in a school with the school official email address. Can he go ahead to apply and submit?has anyone done that b4?

Meanwhile, you may wish to leave the previous family information as is... it's not one of those info you can tamper without you having to spend some more time with your LoE. I am thinking we should put more attention on the reasons for d delay and be thorough with your next application. Cos refusals without a call for medicals usually would have been decided at the review stage. Please give more details if you so desire.

oh okay thank you, my uncle was actually my sponsor, and the v.o wasn't convince he could pay my full expense which was 20000cad. Anyway it was insufficient fund. But this time I would like to use two of my uncles. And also, I know of an agent in canada , pls do you think using her can make the visa processing easier since she's outside the country. If all academic referee won't write for him, he should get his previous thesis supervisor to write for him. They must write a good one and not just some ticks. If he needs to visit them for days, he should.

I understand that they are mostly busy and won't write unless you are physically present enough to exhibit some pressure. Some give ticks when you pressure is through phone and emails. By the way, apart from his thesis supervisor, he should get another "padi lecturer" to write and probably convince his thesis supervisor to write a good one, if your friend doesn't have good rapor with him/her. It is well.


Kindly note am not UofM aspirant and my application to UofM was unsuccessful the last time I applied there. Thanks.
