Nigerian Army has modified its official logo.

The new logo is a slight modification of the star position in the logo but still include the inscription from the Holy Quaran.

The announcement of the slight modification was notified though the official Facebook account of the security agency.

As there is red cross, so also there is red crescent. Red crescent is the red cross for Muslims.

The military started mostly with people that can read Arabic script. It is a part of its heritage, enjoy your self-inflicted headache over the matter.

So is the Red Crescent present in the emblems he mentioned?

I really didn't believe all the BS I was hearing about plans to islamise Nigeria but with this new logo one can only wonder if our Beloved country is still a secular state. sad

I know it's hard to be logical... Especially in an extremely diverse nation like Nigeria.... But C'mon, why not write it in English.... Who communicates in Arabic in Nigeria... Why is English the official language then?

Before you quote Me, know that even in the houses of big imams, the lingua franca isn't Arabic.

You must be silly. Is Redcross a govt organization? Which nigerian navy logo did you see cross on? You are just a muslim thats why u support this stuff. We are not a muslim nation. Therefore anything that depicts a certain religion ahould not be found on our national belongings..

The red cross is originally a private organization founded by 2 Swiss nationals. The organization grew and birthed the IFRC and red crescent. The red crescent arose because they needed acceptance from Muslim countries.
