The logo has had the arabic inscription from day one. All the army did was to made the arabic inscription look better. Nigerians never complained back then. As Buhari came into power, it is an issue. Why are we like this? When GEJ modified our nigerian currency and removed the arabic inscription, it was not an issue oooo!!!! |

Why can't iPods leave the language & focus on its meaning?. It's not a Quranic inscription afterall. Kiss the truth! 1 Like |

ibabkr: you are a blind ignorant cow. Red cross society originated from switzerland and the cross was derived from swiss flag same way the Muslim "Red Cresent"(copy of red cross) logo bear the islamic star and half moon. As for the Nigeria Navy logo, what you see is an anchore for berthing of ships and not a cross. Please go get anti mumu drugs. 6 Likes |

Arabic doesn't mean it's Islam. Majority of northerners understand and write Arabic so there's nothing wrong in having Arabic characters in any of our insignia. Arabic language and characters existed for thousands of years before Islam. And we should take note; 123456789 are actually Arabic not English. 0 has it's origin in India and was later added to the Arabic numerals much later. |

ibabkr:my brother, I wonder why we think so backward in this nation. one person will put up a misleading headline and many will not think critically, only to swallow it hook and line. watch and see how no body will answer about the crosses. am a Christian but some of these issues are too trivial to waste time on. |

ibabkr:There is something like Red Crescent. There is no cross on the Nigerian navy logo, you have an anchor there and not a cross. You have a phone so you should educate yourself on the difference between a cross and an anchor. You should also learn about the red cross and the red crescent. Be properly informed before you share opinion on any matter, I'm not concerned whether the writing on the army's logo is in french or spanish, what I'm concerned about is the reason behind your justification of the writing in arabic. |
