I find it funny when someone sets or proposes conditions for which God is ever going to love another person.

I realize that the love which God has for the best of his folks isn't any less that which he has for an Atheist, illuminati or whatever class of (supposed) perversion that a person might be in.

The threat of eternal damnation (withdrawal of God's love) is the most favorable tool of the religious man...it works wonders...but only if you haven't figured out that LOVE whatever it is CANNOT fail, and NO LAW AGAINST IT. It's a math everyone owes to himself to solve...it is your anchor in the tempest stirred by the man of religion. God is free without charge. IT exists and also does not: NO ONE IS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT OR WRONG ABOUT GOD!

@Mr Seun, you want to explain God's actions using critical thinking and logical reasoning. It is obvious you never knew God nor His ways, you were simply doing "follow follow" in those days when you used to go to church. you feel it is not necessary to believe God because you felt you are successful all by your strength without God. it will be a futile effort explaining the ways of God to you when you did not first of all accept His Lordship. All I can do is to pray for you that God Himself will encounter you before it is too late.

@Yungkid101, in your evangelistic approach to salvation (conversion), never preach church but CHRIST who died, was buried and resurrected for us to have life abundantly.
@naijadeyhia, you are wonderful and I love your responses; very sound and worth thinking about.
@the unbeliever, may the smooth stones of David strike your hearts (not your brain) for the exposure of your wretchedness that brings genuine repentance and conversion.

I agreed that God exist but I believed the bible is not the word God cos there were a lot of misconceptions in the Bible. one of it I will address.

thus:

If God created man with dust, breadth is breath in him (man) and he (man) became a living soul according to the bible. Then human being need not to worried cos human have noting to loose.

because if man dies, he returns to dust and the spirit goes back to the owner (God). so, if he (God) likes he throw it inside hell fire or keep it inside heaven. he owns it and he (God) can do what he likes with it. Besides, I never begged him be creat me. he own the resources....he can do it how he(God) like.

Be patient my bro, according to Pastor E.A Adeboye:

For Nigeria

– Things are likely to get tougher before they get better, but things will get better before the end of this year.

– What He started last year He will finish this year, provided we don’t rejoice too soon.

So be patient.
Make all these Pastors park well with their Prophecies :/ They've organised,Prophesied, organized countless Crusades across the Country, yet Nigeria is retrogressing. So why should we believe them?

I'm happy I got liberated from the shackle of Religion cos I can think now. I believe in God's existence though

Yahweh is blind. He has to identify me first.
Lets see how yahweh will identify me on a faceless forum when he couldn't even identify the Israelites without animal blood on their doors during his murder-frenzy days in Egypt .
Abi, will yahweh hack into my system to identify me? Or should I rub blood on my face?
Jorr oo. Notify me when yahweh becomes a hacker. Meanwhile, your pastor is a dickhead until then. Deal with it.

Now, go dig up another threat. There are many of them in your bible. Only, you'll have to find them before the year runs out.

My problem with Christians is their inability to sustain an intellectual argument without making references to the bible. It shows how brainwashed they've become. Atleast, you should be able to logically defend your religion without boring people to death and bringing in irrelevant verses that prove nothing.

Secondly, Christians are the most intolerant people I've come across. I was born a Christian, I've met Muslims, and adherents of African traditional religions but Christians are the only ones who would make it a personal project to convert everyone and when such conversion fails, they ostracize you and call you names while threatening you with fire and brimstone. Muslims are not all perfect in this regard too but they are in the minority when compared with Christains, especially African Christians who have merged cultural superstitions with Christianity.

Everyone should be left to believe whatever they want. Everyone must not subscribe to your philosophy or way of life. If you love the person, you'd stand with him/her and make your life exemplary. Most Christians don't even lead the type of life that inspire non Christains. You find hypocrites, liars, fraudsters, thieves, pastorprenuers, lusty prayer warriors, backyard fornicators, adulterers and corrupt politicians and citizens. After all, they believe once you pray, all your sins are washed away.

Until we start seeing beyond religious dogma and use our mind to think and approach issues, we'd be lost and forever remain backward as a people.

Mr Seun: Live your life and express yourself. Let no one make you feel guilty for choosing not to indulge in their self-hypnotic practices. You owe nobody any explanation for choosing not to be brainwashed by charismatic orators who call themselves pastors.

I stopped going to church years before starting Nairaland. My folks forced me to attend church and the daily family prayer time for a while, but when I started asking questions they couldn't answer, they stopped, because they didn't want me to influence my siblings to lose their faith too.

Here's a thread titled "Why I Am Not A Christian Anymore" which I posted less than a year after starting Nairaland.

It's clear that logic eludes you. Otherwise, you would have simply admitted Christianity is a religion, which it is. That said, Christianity is in several ways a morally twisted religion which is why it rubber-stamps egregious acts splattered all over the Bible. That can hardly be called 'righteous'.

It doesn't surprise me that you would make a serious claim without any evidence and insist that it's true. Thats how religious charlatans have always operated. However, I'm shocked that you got someone to believe you. I shouldn't really be shocked since I know how gullible people can be, but I am. This is why atheists must rise up and fight against the pervasive cancer of illogical thinking. When Nairaland crashed in 2014, we only lost posts made within January and June 2014, so it can't be the reason why you can't find the evidence for your bold claim.

The long and short of all these stories is that there is a GOD somewhere who is real.............. i have experienced him personally and in my family. Truth is that they dont tell someone about GOD, rather he reveals himself to us. Seun, I bet you would experience him, its only a matter of time. He going to arrest you and many that have come to hail you here would be surprised at your 'arrest' in faith....

Seun I just want to know your view. I hope it pleases you to answer and it'll be an honour if you do.

If you should find someone you love so desperately and extremely and you did all you could for that person to love you but failed woefully. Then you felt the only option left was for you to manipulate or control her into loving you. You took her freewill because you had the power since you needed to be intensely, intimately and desperately loved by her. Well, then you won eventually because she turned out to love you the way you want.

Won't you feel something is missing? Because you didn't win her heart but you blinded it. Won't you feel a part of your heart telling you the love you enjoy isn't real because this lady doesn't love you of her own accord. She just turned out to be your robot

Doesn't it show you are selfish? That You prefer to satisfy yourself only and ignore the feelings of others?

The greatest love you can show is not to please yourself at the detriment of others.

As humans we yearn to be loved. We desire sincere love. But I don't know if I'm correct about all humans.

So please tell me.

Which do you prefer? One who will love you willingly, irrespective of your weaknesses and strengths or your robot who you've brainwashed to love you blindly?

God bless you

Seun: I have read all your posts here. To be honest a certain extent, you are correct. The problem here is people attach importance to the spirituality more than reality.
Not withstanding, I have this question for you. Do you believe in the Bible? If no, what is your view about the Bible?
I was once close to reasoning like you until I ask myself few questions.

Please Seun. Do try to reply because my next question/message will be based on your response
Thanks

I view the bible as a ordinary collection of literature, like Shakespeare's works. Every book of the bible was inspired and written by men, for human reasons. The Old Testament was collated by Jewish leaders while the New Testament was collated by the leaders of the early church.

Here is another question for you? there are events that occurred and recorded in the Bible, how do you view them? Fiction or faction?

Mostly fiction. Bible scholars believe that the bible isn't a historical book. I agree. I wouldn't believe something just because it's in the bible.
