I didn't forge a result intentionally, I got my grades from laspotech and input it in a format requested by the school in US, when I wanted to apply for the fall2017, then my final resultisnt ready yet. So I proclaimed something better for myself, never knew I would get something lower than what I thought,

What am asking for is that, will the school in the US send laspotech copy of those records after receiving my transcript??, Perhaps if they noticed the difference.

Pls discouragement I think shouldn'tbe the next thing here, I know we are all grown up, and we are all responsible, am not a bad type as well, but the Lord Almighty knows all... Thanks

The bold is very possible as each school has its verification. ...not sure why u said u didnt forge intentionally. .based on what u described yes u did actually and knowingly

Anyway moving forward if I were u...i would start afresh from the beginning with different school and with accurate information this time . If not u keep looking over your shoulder and if the fake is discovered even at your last year they will kick u out

There is another thread for visiting b1b2 visa...best to go there and read other Nigerians experiences of what documents or proof was carried or said for home ties . Although on that same thread i have seen the NIV (VO) state that no documents is needed for b1b2 visa so i guess its might be based on verbal assessment

good day gurus in the house, i want to apply for a student visa for a masters program in the US when i get my i-20 any time soon for resumption in january 2017 .the issue i have is that i have also submitted a study permit application to the Canadian embassy for a PGD program 3 weeks ago to resume in February 2017. knowing the Canadian embassy visa processing time for Nigeria is 16 weeks.
pls gurus will this current application to Canada have any consequence/effect to my student visa approval to the US? or am i to state it if asked? or should i get a reply from canada before applying to the US? pls i need suggestion on what i should do, i got the pgd admission to canada long before i got the masters admission in the US. i prepare the masters.

The first pic is an adaptor ...one side has the way naija socket looks like and the other side has the us socket style

Second picture is what the way socket looks like on the wall so u need a pin of that style ....see how its different from Nigeria. It is 2 pins not 3 and more narrow . they still have 3 pins as well in the US but it still more narrow. Nigerian plugs will not fit[/quotequote]

Please can I cut the wire and do direct connection like naija style

Its been along time since i wrote anything here.

My Journey to US and settling down was extremely difficult, stressful and wasteful.

Firstly my travelling box got ripped open at the airport, (probably Naija airport na), So i stayed back to file for luggage claim at boston Logan. As JJC wey i be, they asked my the price of the bag and i told them that i didn't know, that i just got it from my older sibling and that i was more worried that somethings would have fallen out of the bag. I was also in a hurry to catch my bus from Boston to NH.
The claims guy told me to just say a figure for the bag and the JJC in me said " just write 50 bucks", a statement i would come to regret in a couple of days when i got an email from the airline on how i wished to receive my $50 for the bag. Na then i know say i don Bleep up....

Well i missed my 4;30 bus to NH, i had to wait for 6:00 bus. I finally got to NH buy 9:30pm, (Imagine coming into a city you no know one by 9:30Pm), I requested for uber to take me to the hotel i reserved, the bus had wifi which i was using, but it drove off so i lost connection before my uber arrived
I hitched a ride with one indian guy i saw at the bus station who also requested an uber that just arrived (note: the bus station was closed and empty, i was the only person standing there at 9pm before i saw the indian guy). The uber dropped the guy and dropped me at my hotel too. i paid him $10.

At the Hotel, another drama ensued, it turned out that the reservation my brother made, his Credit card was never debited, your only used his information to hold the reservation so i was asked to present the card for swiping which i didn't have, The hotel had a policy of not taking cash too so i couldn't book a room. I was in America by 10pm-11pm, stranded with no where to go.

I asked to use their internet, i transferred some funds from my diamondbank account to my gtbank and stanbic ibtc so i could try if any of my Nigerian card would work, well luckily my gtbank card worked so i booked for one night at the rate $76.2 against the $56 rate i got for making a reservation two weeks prior my arrival.

The night went by very fast, i came down in the morning, used google maps to locate the nearest burger king (God bless Google) and had their $6.99 double whooper burger not knowing that my hotel booking came with free breakfast.
According to there policy, checkout was 11am, so i had to extend my payment for another day, i tried paying again with gtbank but it declined, i called my contact at the bank and they told me the spending limit was $100 Monthly. I moved some money to stanbic and card worked so i booked for two more days.

I immediately left for school (With Uber,), I was able to do my registration, opened a bank account, deposited some cash and got a temporary atm. I also started hurting for a house, o boy, little did i know house hunting was another nightmare in the making.

After three days i needed to extend my stay at the hotel again, i presented my ATM from the new bank account but it was rejected again. They said it was temporary and didn't have my name on it. I was already frustrated at the rigidity of this hotel policies, luckily a lady who also worked there told me that i can actually do a prepaid booking through expedia.com, (really, I could do that? how come you people haven't told me this all this while?), she also told me about the inclusive morning breakfast. when i learnt about the breakfast, i made sure i came to the dinning by 6am and left by 9:30am, i ate everything they had to serve and took more upstairs to my room for lunch and dinner.

Long story short i ended up staying in a hotel paying approximately $80 per night, and $87 on weekend for 10 days and i did Airbnb for two night at the rate of $45 per night.

Even the Nigerians i met who could have harbored me till i found my place all told me stories.
Two guys, Nigerian too, who i am grateful to, harbored me for a few days after i told him i already got a place but needed a few days to my move-in date.

Well so far so good, we done come be say we done come o.
You might learn a thing or two from my story and Journey in search of Happiness.

The Country Fine Sha, The question that resound in my head now is, WHAT WERE WE DOING IN AFRICA WHEN THESE PEOPLE WERE BUILDING THIS MASSIVE CIVILIZATION? OMO this people have the right to the arrogant abeg, make we talk the one wey be truth.
You don't expect respect because you a human being, you earn respect for your achievements, and what exactly has black Africa contributed to the world? but we want respect and recognition. The whole situation is depressing.

Just go to computer village or anywhere they sell chargers, the round mouth is what they use in Morocco and the flat one is what they use in the US, there is charging port JFK, so but a flat charger along.see attachment. you dont need to buy a new laptop charger, all you need is the lower part and you can attach it to your former charger. both chargers is not more than 1k

Thanks!

You should be fine. A Friend of mine had a similar experience and he was able to use that same pin on the receipt to apply for his F1. No qualms.

frisby:
Greeting guys.

I made payments for visa appointment at the bank for a student who will be returning to school in the USA.
But when I received the printout, it has "BUSINESS/TOURISM" on the visa category section.

I pointed this out to the bankers but they assured me it has no implication, since all I need from the printout is the receipt number, and also "BUSINESS/TOURISM" category fee cost same as "STUDENT/ACADEMICS" category.

So, Pls can anyone confirm this Pls? Wouldn't want to make a mistake along the way.
Thanks a lot.

I undastd what you are saying, but you shouldn't ave done that because Nigeria schools are unpredictable. The main thing is that ur action will affect Nigeria applicant as a whole because they won't trust us,and also some schools can send ur record back to ur school in Nigeria to confirm nd explain the difference but some schools will conclude that we are all corrupt nd place a bad ban on black applicant esp Nigerian

Who have seen the movie the brothers grimsby 2016. In that movie they reported at the WHN world headline news that Donald Trump has AIDS.

I guess the director of the movie didn't know President elect Donald Trump will win the election. I can see someone going to jail. Lol

It is better to start another admission process with another school but it will be preferable you request another transcript from your school that will carry the name of the recipient.
