Iheanacho:

Missed a good chance after a clever run but his position was vital to our team's success today. He kept the Algerian defenders back because they knew he was dangerous. That gave gap in the attack midfield areas for Iwobi, Mikel and Moses to shine. Sad he did not get the record but, it is a team game. The team winning is more important than individual records. Nice hard work too in his pressing and keeping the Algerian defenders uncomfortable with the ball.

Moses - that guy smoke weed
Leon - that guy tall men.. All aerial balls won
Etebo - a beast of a player
Ndidi and Musa - those guyz reduced algeria's pressure to the minimum when we seem to be loosing confidence
Akpeyi - omo that guy no get confidence at all, should have done better with the goal
Mikel - he's got something to take back to Conte tongue tongue
Rohr - that man is a sub genius.. My heart was in my mouth before he made those game changing sub grin
Cameroun next........
But let analyse that mikel goal.. Was it an offside or not? Cos first time I saw an onside but second look got me thinking otherwise
wasn't off.

I'm happy not because we won. But simply because we got a master tactician n a great man manager in Rohr.

Sir. TheGoodJoe!
Hope u saw our boy Nacho today(how I wish he scored) ?
Nacho's role n performance today shows us that d no 9 role isn't d best place to play him. His abilities are best seen in a 10,8 or been flanked in a 4-2-3-1.

But all kudos goes to Rohr for taking those bold steps.
First, for benching Ighalo n Ideye, for bringing in Ndidi for Mikel who was more offensive today and lastly for given moses a call up(our local coaches would have miss handle d t due to their egos)...

Iwobi is good but it's time he starts getting physical for that's what african football is about.(but d lad got some footwork just like his uncle did anyone see that carry-over)

Moses is d man. Wait, where did he got that strength from?
He was simply spectacular!

Akpeyi was jittery today-we still Enyeama as a backup for carl.

Finally, we need a natural 9 for that is d biggest hole we need to fill n sort out our fullbacks issue. It won't be bad if we have backups for Ekong n Balogun(their pairing has broughit solidity to d defence...

Once again congratulations to everyone.
Ride on Eagles
we are going back to where we belong to-the very top.

Mickael2:

simple! But the 'team cohesion' apostles will probably jump on our backs now

Most times I speak my mind and let it to linger. Onazi can be a great player but this new look Super Eagles is of different class. To me,he is not improving as a player and the level this new Super Eagles are headed is above him.

Echiejile:

Deserves a special round of applause. Most improved player and I wonder how Rohr did it. Defensively solid, helped the midfield by shifting in to work the midfield players.

Kept his position and reduced the gaps. He dropped into the eighteen yard box to help the central defenders keep the Algerian forwards away.

Still left gaps a few times, with more games and time with Rohr, Echiejile might become a trusted left-back

Onazi:

What a brilliant first half. So much intensity, tackles and support for the defence. Made some brilliant choices with his passes.

Although he had a rough second half, I feel the injury affected his game. When he was down in the second half before the ref stopped play.

His first half performance was convincing enough.

Ekong:

Tidy as usual and was the fulcrum for Leon Balogun to take risk in the game. He was the marker today and made some good stops.

I think we can overlook his little errors today because of his tidy performance.

Daniel Akpeyi. . .bad positioning, panicky and poor reflexes. A terrible goal keeper. (An opinion formed over the years watching him play for Chippa United, the Olympic team and Super Eagles).

Rohr should do away with him and have Dele Alampasu and Akpan Udoh understudy Carl Ikeme.

Bros, no be fight na. We'd have conceded if Ndidi did not come in and start harassing the Algerian players.

Ndidi is now a part of the team. You can't keep playing a partnership that is not working effectively. Ndidi is in the system and it would work playing him with Mikel.

That positioning comes from his playing style. Akpeyi is good with his feet, so he stays close to the defenders to make him available for passes.

Although I feel we need a more solid keeper. Glad to hear Akpan the Cat Udoh is still doing well. Alampasu is my pick.

However, Akpeyi made some good contributions today.

You see now that E hiejile is not as bad as you always say.

You should apologize for saying a player who has not played for more than 8 months should be considered ahead of him.Hehehe

Omeruo:

What an effort today and he was up against one of the best players for the Algerians. Brahimi. Brahimi caused him a lot of problems but Omeruo stayed strong and fought.

Strong in the air and made some good passes. Still not the perfect right back but his determination helped neutralise the Algerians.

Sad he came off injured. Quick recovery soldier.

Am just waiting for somebody to say experience over talent now in respect to our goal keeping area.... Bone experience, if an experienced goal keeper cannot perform in training I wonder what magic he's going to perform on the field of play

Ihenacho cannot play top 9 for now.. Sometimes he gets his first touches wrong.. Iwobi should bring more physicality into his game.. Etebo may as well have put himself in Rohr's starting eleven.. If you ask me iwobi can come as a sub for Musa or Moses Simon and ihenacho plays supporting striker.. Any of ighalo, ideye or Issac that is on form next year should be top 9

It seems you have not heard of my boxing gloves. Yara Yara, bring it. In short let us pity him, we are in celebration mood.

I would still like to see Oshaniwa in camp. I still want competition for the role, even though Echiejile was very impressive today. Most impressed with his passing.

The crossing is still a challenge but Rohr focused on Echiejile's strengths and made him look solid by maintaining his position.

He impressed me big time. Moses forward play created a good balance for the left side of our team.

Big props to Echiejile.

That has to do with the pressure up front. The defenders around him makes him not have enough time on the ball. However, it gave room for our players to shine. Especially, Mikel, Iwobi and Etebo.

For your information: This represents Nigeria's best start to a FIFA WC qualifying campaign ever. 2 games. 2 wins. 6 points. Leading group by 4 points already.

Musa:

Gave us option up front with his non-stop running. Caused problems for getting Algerian defenders and it seems Mahrez and Slimani warned their team-mates of Musa.

I think we can forgive his misses because of his work rate to get to the ball. However, his introduction created room for Iheanacho to get chances. He diverted the attention of the Algerian defenders. .

2 more wins and we could be in Russia. Simple as that. Algeria don't look like they can win all their remaining 4 games.

I watched the game of Cameroon against Zambia. This Algerian team cannot get 6 points from Zambia. I can play the bet.

Why would I be a Chelsea fan when I am not from England? Have you ever seen an English man who is an Enyimba ,or an Egyptian who drools over European clubs like Nigerians ? Abeg,I am a hardcore Aba elephant and we just signed Gbenga Ogunbote, as the new coach and the most dangerous striker in our league,Christian Obiozor, just returned from injury.

Ndidi:

Now that is how a player makes a big statement. His first long pass to the left answered a big question in my heart. Is he comfortable on the ball? Yes he is.

He brought balance to the midfield with his interceptions. He covered the gaps in the midfield and neutralised the defence.

A promising player for our defensive midfield and showed we can trust him when he gets the chance.

You obviously don't know how to watch a game. Etebo was the engine in that first half and considering that Algeria was defending deep in the first half hoping to get a draw in the first half, the pressure was off the defensive midfield.

They had to come all out in the second half and look what happened. Glad you are not the coach. Rohr would make that change if he thinks it very important. Look what happened to Etebo today.
